Regarding Scatter, Two things, 1) after the addon is installed it adds a "Scatter Objects" Menu button. After you select the objects you want to scatter and then the plane, goto Objects>Scatter Objects (at the botton of the panel)...then start painting. 2) After you commit the scatter, you can edit individual objects: goto Objects>Apply>Make Instances Real (bottom of the panel). Then you can modify each instance as an individual object. Here a video explaining... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3tyaACdP2Wo.html
Thank you so much. I'm playing with the toolsets featuring offset edges and UVW, and I'm blown away. It would have been a while before I found these on my own. Holy crap, the UV thing just works. I was having so much trouble with walls and stretching textures. I'm sh!tty at unwrapping, and the whole thing just takes me so much time. This is just one and done.
Nicely planned out and executed video; specific and to the point; equals a winning format. Now utilizing one of Ian Hubert's strategies is to include one of his signature-over-the-top - outrageously gorgeous composited final renders or short animations to excite and titillate the audience and display your applications and skill. 😊
Thank you so much for clarifying the Archipack object selection being empty because of lack of rendered objects to choose from! now i know how to fix that.
Thx a lot for sharing those addons ! I would like to swap from sketchup to Blender for architecture modelization... But i'm affraid of loosing time. I would love so much for someone to post a fast architecture modelization done with Blender !...
Very Nice video. The cool is that it shows a lot of things we already have, with this video I found out some gold addons that I already have. Thanks a lot
Thanks this was very helpful..... I'm a retired Architect and I've been using SketchUp for years and decided to switch to Blender.....much more powerful than SketchUp
You already aew an real pro video maker and explains really well too. And you don't just confirm what you don't have sure how that's it, i really like that
Thanks for the video! For the scatter objects tool -- you can edit the objects after they are created but the "Make Instances Real" command. Then you can edit the original (source) object and all the instances will be changed as well.
Great video. These are really useful tools for me. I've only been using Blender for a few months but I'm making game assets for a city building game. Bookmarked and going to watch several times haha. I really like how you explained things very well and didn't rush through the shortcuts as I often find tutorials hard to follow when they're going too quick for a newb like me. Liked and subscribed :-)
Hi I wonder if theres a addon where you can weigh the mass / weight of a material say for example I model a box and I want it too be steel or perhaps rubber it will show the weight?
Please tell me that you have a tutorial on how you created this tutorial inside of the blender environment. How you are able to move about the 3-D view port as you speak, and how you inserted and angled the text. It's very well done!
Excellent overview - thank you so much! How do you navigate through your scene? Your camera moves so elegantly and quickly. Do you use a special mouse?
I don't know wich device he is using but i'm using the "Space Navigator" von 3D Connexion. It's good for sculpting or even keyframe a flying camera. www.3dconnexion.com/spacemouse_compact/en/
UH Studio: thanks for this video! Are you indeed using a 3D mouse to move about, as another commenter suggested? If so could you mention the model and any setup needed (eg drivers). Thanks!
Space mouse wireless with the regular drivers from 3d connexion. The only settings adjustments in blender I've made are to change from trackball to turntable under ndof properties
How do you navigate in Blender viewport? is that an add-on? it feels like the way you can navigate in Lumion or Unreal... feels like you're walking, awesome!
It seems a lot of elements don't work well with metric, unfortunately, including inputs in geometry nodes. But hopefully they are addressing those shortcomings. As for offset edges, someone wil have to update the addon, I imagine, since it's using the Blender internal unit, which the devs have confirmed is a meter
Archipack doesn't allow me to draw walls. The Blue UI Bar below appears when draw is selected, but vanishes as soon as I move the mouse. I am using Blender 2.82 with an AMD processor and graphics card. Thanks!
Are you using a 3Dconnexion navigator ? If so, can you please tell me how you got it to work with blender 2.8? Mine just stopped working after 2.7. Great video btw, and great collection of tools, thanks a lot.
Vehicle modeling like kits of parts to create vehicles or asset libraries with vehicles? If it's the latter, there are a few places - chocofur.com, traffiq addon on blendermarket.com, and the 3dshaker storefront at blendermarket.com
Awesome Tutorial thank you so much. I'm having an issue applying the Magic UV Bricks texture, To my Cube In EVEE. I enabled Magic UV. Yet when i go to the Material Properties. I don't get the UV Textures List inside the Brows Materials to be listed Tab. I know this is a simple fix lol. Been out of Blender for months still shaking off some rust lol.
Textures are different than materials. As far as I know, magic uv doesn't produce any materials but eases the creation and manipulation of UVs. To get a brick texture, create a new material, then go to shader nodes window and either add a brick image texture or Blender's procedural brick texture and then connect it to your diffuse color in the material node.
@@UHStudio got it figured out thank you. Its been a while. It hit me later im like wait I've used it before. The is so much to blender that i forget parts.
In the transform menu (press "n" to bring up the transform menu) you can type in the dimensions of your object. In the scene settings menu you can set your desired unit and decimals for your units.
Hi. I've noticed that when you added a door it snapped on to the wall. When I try the same it doesn't snap on to the wall, this is available for door and window as well. Do you have any idea why it doesn't snap ? I use Blender 2.81 Thank you.
How does Blender compare with Unreal Engine 4 for the idea of architectural illustration, movies and user walkthroughs for architectural work. I use Autocad Architecture (3D) and it doesn't play well with anyone else so it's a fair hike to get a model into another program. And then there is Lumion which is custom made for Architectural work but it's $$$ more than free.
@@NathanEllery Its like they describe but - you need to move and place hundrets of objects, choose materaial, adjust lighting etc, you will do the same steps in UE4, wich has enormus amount of possobilities but for simple visualisation you dont need it. So IMHO its better to learn UE4 basics.
Also Blender Eevee (dont mix with blender itself, coz its modelling app) cant be really compared to UE4, coz its just a render engine for fast, pseudo reallistic preview vs full scale game engine but for most tasks its more than enough.
Great video. Nice addons, I 'm using archpack pro for while and its worth for the money. I would add imeshh (imeshs.com) that offers a hug number of objects. Just a question. How to show the Colorful Object 3D Axis. that are in the video ?
