Why did you bake the maps? Just to preview in eevee or am i missing something?

@@RexDE I baked the maps only for the vehicle, because that specific material uses Ambient Occlusion as a cavity map to spawn dirt within cavities! so any objects like the floor, buildings passing by, animated characters, might potentially cast their unwanted AO onto the bike, spawning a disco of dancing dirt🕺

@@wallacesousuke1433 being discouraged will only delay you further. You'd be surprised at how quickly ideas come together when you're working on them, especially when there are so many assets available for you to use already. Pick something you want to focus on and use assets to fill in non-focus areas. Obviously you can't use assets without permission for professional projects, but for personal projects and to get a grasp on animation, it's fine.

@@doug12244 sadly I'm kinda too old for that, and there would be little financial return from learning Blender since there isn't a large demand for 3D animators in my country, and internationally, I'd competing with thousands of people with more experience and talent lol main reason I would want to learn it was to create my own games but being a solo dev is hellish difficulty and again, I wish I was a decade or so younger, for now I'll teach myself graphic design

@@wallacesousuke1433 I saw a video of AI quickly modeling a 3D chair with complex textures so animation skills will only become easier to do with time. A scene that would've taken hours to model will be reduced to only a couple of minutes.

This breakdown indicates clearly the difference between average and great. It is those 100 little boring tweaks that make such an amazing difference. When I started I was arrogant enough to just say, "Hey, nobody will even see it so why do it?" My results were so fake it was painful. Well done to you. I'm currently in the process of learning blender. The amount of tutorials out there is honestly overwhelming, way more than what I experienced when I was still learning to edit videos. The most valuable part of this video for me was the hair shader. I personally work with a lot of fluffy characters, but I don’t like to make my pc sound like a jet, so that principled hair in eevee trick is an absolute lifesaver for me.

After watching every minute of this video, I seriously wonder how you didn't make it up the ranks, there is ton of work here even in such small scene, I dont know much about the character modelling, but the color grading , I understand the details you put into this, but i am not sure if people or even the judges would have noticed such details, that was a lot of work, seriously crazy , hats off to you , keep making more.

bro i just wanted to say thank you, thank you for being so in-depth and detailed about your process, i've been a game dev for almost a year and have struggled on everything because i'm going the self taught route and of course that means i don't have anyone to help guide me on what to do, how to do it, the process and workflow, the best ways to do this or that, etc. Anyways, i've been trying to figure out how to make my cinematics/cut-scenes and have been irritated and frustrated trying to figure out what apps to use, the order in using them and for what, and all that, your step by step process showing what you did, and the outline, from pre production, to post production, was helpful, very helpful. i've gotten a good idea about how to go about things now, all that's left is to try it out! but i left with a much clearer idea of how to go about things after this video, it was so helpful and i'm so thankful, thank you very much man, you don't know how much your video has helped me and thousands of others on our journeys lol keep it up man i'll be watching!

I really enjoyed the process how you making this 5 sec animation, and there is a lot of tools that I need to learn... but those addons and tools makes the process a lot faster.
