Great video, it is sending back to review what i included for an upcoming international trip. I was already thinking i was taking too much. Now im sure of it.
Going on a Ireland cruise in August, weather can go either way, maybe a pack with me, then a what you really could have left home afterwards. Safe travels!
If you were constantly thirsty, and you’re drinking a lot, you could be diabetic. If you haven’t been checked for diabetes, I would go and have it done. I do have diabetes, but I wasn’t drinking a lot of water because I always drink a lot of water but I had a friend who said he found out he was diabetic because he was craving water all the time, and no matter how much he drank. He still wanted more. So please go have it checked out.
I would ‘have’ to include snacks. I have a flight in sept(1st in a long time) from Jax, FL to Seattle and am already planning my snacks. Don’t want to spend $ and want to be prepared for delays and layovers.
BOTH pack and unpack videos pls. Discuss what you didn’t use, what you wished you had brought instead, etc. Additional essentials for me-small Gotubb of face & body moisturizer, eyedrops, tiny nail cutter for hangnails, Tiger or Zojirushi insulated container.
I think I may have over exaggerated my "thirst" in the video... I have recently had a physical and all of my blood sugar numbers are very good. I do exercise a lot and it is very hot here in the summer 😊
It is a sign of diabetes, but they also tell you that you should be drinking a half ounce of water for every pound you weigh. It also depends on the environment and how high your activity is. If you are working out a lot or if you're in some place where you are sweating a lot, you should consume more water as well as electrolytes. I know people whose goal is to hit at a minimum 140 oz of water a day, but they also work out everyday and they are about 200 lb
@@erismom69 It’s the thirst that was concerning to me. Drinking a lot of water because you are making an effort is generally okay but she said she was thirsty. There is something called psychogenic polydipsia which some psychotic people get and they can become hypnatremic and die. Drinking way too much water is also potentially dangerous.
I would like to see an unpack. I got home from a beach vacation last week, and as I unpacked, I was shocked at all the items I packed that I didn't need. I'm tired of overpacking non clothing items. Have a wonderful trip. I've been to Ireland. It was one of the best trips I've taken.
Hi Eunice! My list: 1. Phone/stand 2. Meds 3. Ear pods 4. Portable charger 5. Lip balm 6. RFID wallet 7. Towelettes for my hands 8. My Dior hand lotion (it's delightful!) 9. Water bottle 10. Travel blanky. I love your videos!🎉
My must haves in my personal item bag not including my phone are: contact lens, prescription reading and prescription sunglasses, regular sunglasses, prescription meds, phone charger, 12-15’ charging cable (because I can’t find them in stores and most plugs aren’t close to the bed), handicap placard (can’t be replaced while on trip), plan pillow that holds clothes inside, slim water bottle, small wallet like yours (because it fits my belt bags), Kleenex, mini fan that doubled as a flashlight and phone charger (I was stuck on a plane for 3+ hrs in El Paso, TX, before the rules took effect to deplane after so many hours, it was unbearably hot and we had run out of water), compression packing cube with extra undies, top, pants or maxi skirt (n case my bag is delayed, wet ones/hand sanitizer, small clear makeup/toiletry bag and snacks.
I realize from the comments I might have over exaggerated my "thirst", LOL! But I agree, especially in the summertime in the south electrolytes are definitely a good addition. I try to take them once a day or every other day 😊
I am definitely going to pare down the items in my personal item bag on my next trip because after my last trip I finally had to admit that I didn’t use a lot of what I took. I agree with most of your list but would have to include Kleenex because I often have a runny nose and noise canceling headphones but I could omit the tripod and chapstick. Oh and definitely an unpacking video vs a packing one.
Great information. We are headed to Ireland in early September. By the way, your hair is absolutely GORGEOUS!! If this is your natural hair, you are very lucky to have such beautiful color.
I love water too. I always have a water bottle with me. I dislike plastic bottles so I carry a britta with a filter. It has come in very handy. At home I have a regular bottle that I refill with my filtered water. I’ll slice lemons 🍋 or cucumbers 🥒 to mix up the flavor. And I understand those two are good for different things. 🥰
We just got back from two weeks in Scotland last week. :) I'd be interested in either Ireland packing video, but I think the "unpack" would be more illuminating. I brought a few things I didn't use, and I had some things I was surprised how often I used. I think the climate is fairly similar, so I look forward to whichever one you do.
My must have list: 1. Phone stand 2. Bluetooth adapter 3. EarPods 4. Kindle 5. Powerbank with cords 6. Water bottle 7. Hand/face wipes 8. Gum 9. Extra pair of contact lenses 10. Medication
The phone tripod is pretty cool. I need to check m that out. My personal item has my water bottle, iPad and laptop, a book (I’m a paper girl but my iPad will do an ebook My Bose noise canceling ear buds (game changer!) Snacks which usually is carrots, fruit, eggs, crackers, and a protein bar. All my chargers go in a bag in there, a sweater or sport coat
Something is wrong if you're that thirsty all the time. Seriously. My first, obvious guess is diabetes. In any case, no, it isn't normal to be that thirsty, and you should get checked out.
Love your videos! Always valuable. Haven't flown in so long! First international trip, super excited 😄 Also! Surprised me when you said you came to Oregon. I live in Washington but work in Oregon lolz.
1. Charged cell phone 2. Wallet with ID and cash 3. Headphones 4. Medication (I get airsick when I fly otherwise) 5. A drink (coffee, water, ginger ale - for the meds) 6. Downloaded music or movies 7. Eye drops 8. Lip balm 9. Snacks 10. Power bank for phone
my 10 items would be close, but kleenex and my airpod pros would be on there for sure. i know you said not both, but a packing then an unpacking/what i used-didn’t use video would be great. i went to ireland solo for 17 days in april 2023 and it was fabulous. enjoy!!
I think, Unpack is always more interesting, even if it is your personal situation, still to learn your explanation, why some things were not used, or - if some were not used, you still will take next time, because if you might need them and do not have, the situation will be really bad...
