You have to remember Gotham is set in an alternate Universe exempt from what is known in the DCU as it stands. Yes, it can be seen as a bit of an insult to the original works, but I suppose the show wanted to accommodate varied gender roles for the villains so they couldn't be criticised for being prejudice, who knows.
Iwan Roberts While I agree that I want all of these stories on the big screen, I definitely don't think Hush should be first. Maybe invert that list: Under the Red Hood's foundation has already been laid in the DCEU, so that would be good for The Batman, then The Long Halloween being a good mediator to the incredible endgame story that is Hush. Hush has so many villains and such a crazy plot twist, plus the ties to Batman's origins and beginnings that are always great in the last act.

Iwan Roberts dude, Batman: Hush and Batman: The Long Halloween are my top two personal favourite mainstream DC comics of all time!!! (1st is Long Halloween, 2nd is Hush, 3rd is Green Arrow: Year One, 4th is Batman: The Killing Joke and 5th is Batman: Dark Victory). We, the people of the world, from the newest reader of comics to the most ardent resident of Gotham, deserve a movie based on either Hush or Long Halloween!!! And before anyone says anything, yes, I am well aware that Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy was inspired by and heavily influenced by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's graphic novels, Batman: The Long Halloween and Batman: Dark Victory. My point is, that the entire geek community worldwide deserves and needs a decent film of Hush or Long Halloween, but made with the same level of care and attention to detail as the Arkham games!!!
Icy what you mean. But maybe they should save him for a sequel; that way it freeze up space for other villains, rather than just have him be the frost in line, to winter chance to face Batman. With time to plan, he could really put a rink kill in Batman's plans - be the character to make the whole story arctic, and he would be cold the best supervillain ever - there snowman better. (joking aside I'd love the chance to see the character done properly, however Arnie's take will always make me crack open the ice puns)

Jonah Steinfeld he was only used in a technicality, he at least deserved an honourable mention! A throwaway mention in one movie isn't good enough for a character who is utterly terrifying in the comics. Zsaz gets a thrill out of killing people, that alone makes him great for a villain through the whole movie, not just some throwaway mention which sees him on screen for a total of 5 minutes!

Man Bat and Clay Face would be amazing to see they could easily make it into more of a horror type movie with them, but the one I want most is The Ventriloquist, the version with Scarface and I forget the guys name who talks to him, imagine them keeping who his identity is a secret, and then as it reaches the end all you see is a guy sitting in a room talking to a puppet, would be a huge what the fuck moment for anyone watching it.
Hush works best in a series, letting him set up as a slowly revealed manipulator, so i doubt it would be him next. i'd like to see an Arkham asylum where Hugo strange engineered the lunatics taking over to lure Batman in, posing as a friend until the villians subdue Bats and revealing his dastardly scheme and obsession. you could showcase several B-list villians we dont usually get to see, Batmans detective skills as he pieces together that there was an inside man in the breakout and even give some screen time to the various mental problems his rogues gallery has.
I think the DCEU royally fucked up with Suicide Squad including the joker. You gotta build up to shit like that and that's the main issue with the DCEU: no buildup... How great would it have been if we still haven't seen joker and the first thing we see is a post credit in the Batman movie?

Alex Love I agree, the Joker's reveal in the DCEU had no buildup and in turn had no impact. He just sort of appeared, in an exposition sequence no less. The writing on the Robin suit alone in BvS would be enough to spook us for years showing a trace that there's a Joker somewhere out there. Even more disappointing, the Joker was hardly in Suicide Squad so it feels even more wasted.
I think that wouldve made the movie a bit better, i havent gotten around to the suicide squad comics yet or the ones that the movie is based on, but they shouldve kept joker for a batman film considering the joker is one of if not the main batman villain. they couldve done so much more with him in a batman film, simply because thats what the plot could revolve around instead of suicide squad which revolved around defeating enchantress, and focused wayyy too much on harley quinn, like seriously, first the main character was supposed to dead shot, 2nd when amanda waller, the agent, and commander were having dinner, they brought up harley quinn for like a 14 minute scene of her dancing on pole, and before they cut away with the dinner scene the commander baiscally says you want us to rely on hit-men, gangsters, withces, and cocodiles... then the agent says and dont forget about the jokers girlfriend, they used her too damn much in my opinion, anyways done with that rant. now this one. apparently there was about 10 hours + of joker footage. which means that if the joker had any major role in the suicide squad as far as the squad itself goes there wouldve been a whole lot more than the 30 minutes total if you bought the extended cut of screen time they gave him. let alone mot of the scenes they did choose didnt really set a good position for the jokers fan base. i think they shouldve either left the joker completely out of the movie or give like an easter egg at the end or do the flashbacks of harleys memories, and leave it at that. they just tried to hard to have him there, and then when push came to shove they realized there was too many scenes. i hope if they have him in the stand alone batman movie, that they do him better than what hey had done in suicide squad.
Ivanliuks one major problem I’ve had about him (the mad hatter period) is he’s not that intimidating, he’s always better as a side character. Hell, even the Arkham games stick to this by having him in as a side-quest that’s one mission long, Gotham’s mad hatter fixed that, he’s actually intimidating on screen and even when goes full madhouse he’s entertaining to watch
Worse still is Penguin, Solomon Grundy, The Joker, The Riddler, Victor Zsasz, Dr. Freeze and Hugo Strange. That should has ruined every character it touches.

Arrow villain or Batman villain, I would love Prometheus in a Batfilm. Was predicting he was the Arkham Knight, but they wanted to make it obvious that it was Red Hood from the first appearance of the Knight.
Just before the Knightmare sequence, Bruce goes to his parents graveyard and there Man-Bat attackes him after crashing through the wall.. its a blink-and-you-miss sequence!

Not Jack Douglass I think that he is more a Nightwing and Teen Titans villain although it would be nice to see him since it's unlikely that they would have a live action Teen Titans movie. I would like Mr. Freeze come back. Maybe a villain or group that could introduce Martian Manhunter to the cinematic universe.
Zsasz already made a debut in "batman begins", that and he's really not that threating on his own, maybe if he's used in the same fashion as the gotham series, in that he is an underling to the main villain, then it could work.

Meme Crimson guys stop I meant depicted accurately in films. Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy were never depicted on screen. Whatever villains were in Batman &a Robin those weren't them nor bane. Except bane got the best portrayal in TDKR.
why y'all should watch Gotham TV Series: - It's confirmed that Solomon Grundy is coming to it. - Man-bat made a small cameo, blink and you'll miss it but it's still there - The Mad Hatter is one of the main season 3 villains and HE IS AWESOME - The Court of Owls are in Gotham and they fuck shit up - Hugo Strange is like the main villain of season 2 and also a bit in season 3 - Clay Face is in both season 2 and 3 - We haven't seen Red Hood himself, but we've seen a few cameos of the gang - Hush makes a cameo in season 1 as a boy

Lets be honest, Gotham is not a good portrayal of Batman universe nor even intelligently driven. Its made of lots and lots of fan service, yet still amazingly entertaining. I recommend people to watch it if they can ignore the many constant and tiring bollocks in it

Its obvious that we need to see Mr Freeze in a Batman film, and before anyone says anything about him being portrayed by Arnold Shwarzinager in Batman and Robin, I don't know who he was playing, but he was not playing Mr freeze. He was not playing a intelligent, sympathetic, cunning villain, who is doing everything to save his wife, would side with batman if it makes the most logical sense, and would even choose to abandon a plan if he knew his wife would disprove. The B+R Mr freeze was a ice themed villain who's only purpose seemed to be making horrible ice puns.
I want a court of owls movie,an Arkham asylum,an Europa movie or a Long Halloween movie I don't want DKR cuz we have seen a retired batman twice already and I don't want an Under the Red hood movie because this Batman might not kill now but he did used to so I say they should save that for another franchise in like 10 years or just make a flashpoint film and make one of the alterations that batman never killed.

There was talk of a Gotham City Sirens movie for a while, with Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn teaming up with a new Catwoman and Poison Ivy, but it now sounds like all Suicide Squad spinoffs might have been canned. I just want to see Poison Ivy done right! Is that really too much to ask?
If Hugo Strange would be used, the Legends of the Dark Knight story line Prey should just be used. (It's issues 11-15, just preceding the controversial Venom saga).
Lucas Bradley I really liked the whole concept of the Venom story, and I think it could be well adapted with this older, grizzled Batman Ben Affleck gives us. We know he has a substance addiction already, what with alcoholism pulled from BvS, and as he gets up there in age and degrading stamina, I could see a plausible turn to Venom, no?

I had a similar idea which involved the Court of Owls having some ulterior motive to take down the Batman, using Red Hood to emotionally devastate Batman, then have Deathstroke as an assassin hired by the Court of Owls.

Co-directing? He said he was stepping down from directing. Not co-directing, he's not directing at all. He might, MIGHT be writing it, but he's not beloved for his writing alone. It's films that he himself makes on his own that get all those fresh certification on Rotten Tomatoes. Except Live By Night.
My favorite Batman villain is Scarecrow, and I'm so frustrated Tim Burton didn't made a third movie with him as the villain instead of this awful Batman Forever! Cillian Murphy version was cool but he was too underused . I think he deserves to be the main villain for once. (that's what I really liked about Batman Arkham Knight)
Before I watch this, let me put out a guess. One of the villains on the list is going to be Calendar Man, but you'll make the excuse that in "The Long Halloween" Jeph Loeb made him more of a Hannibal Lecter serial killer. If this is actually on the list, you're scraping the barrel for content.
I just want Frank Miller's The Dark Knight franchise back again. Except for The Dark Knight Strikes Back and what would have been his follow up 'Holy Terror'. 'Batman hunts Osama Bin Laden' :-P I wonder if DC/WB will ever do an animated or live action adaptation of F Miller & Brian Azzarello's The Dark Knight Master Race? I wouldn't be surprised somehow. ;-) For me TDKR will always stand for The Dark Knight Returns, not The Dark Knight Rises.
I'd like to see The Creeper. He isn't a villain per se but he's basically a repressed man's unfettered id, and therefore doesn't consider the consequences of his actions. Essentially the very embodiment of chaotic neutral.

I want to see The Mad Hatter done right. For some reason, I feel like he can be done so damn well. If I was doing it, I would make him very subtle and psychologically intimidating...very intense in the eyes and the way he speaks, very mature, very composed (always wears a suit and tie) and sort of...sexual? But he has moments of psychological breakdown when it comes to his inner child personality and his obsession with Alice in Wonderland. He starts to get jealous of Batman because of all the women that are obsessed with him, and because he's idolized. He constantly fantasizes about being the one people love and idolizes and lives most of his life in his own head. He hungers for ultimate power, and he can't do it if the Batman exists. So he tries to break down the Bat by psychologically effecting him and the people he cares about by working his way into their lives being "the nice guy". His psychotic breaks end up being his ultimate weakness as he drifts in and out of his different personalities. He starts to go more and more insane as the movie goes on and his obsession gets worse, until he finally breaks and starts trying to kill everyone. By the end he's basically lost all control as he becomes no different from an animal. Not a lot of Batman fans take him seriously because of how short he is, but if they do it right, and make him an intense, subtle, psychopath kind of villain where he really gets into your mind while not being able to control his own despite his own narcissism...I think it can be amazing.
