@@ICONOCLAST I am not here to justify them using Eddie's death for a storyline but i'll provide the context. So the thing about it within the Wrestling Business is the idea of self sacrifice in order to entertain the fans whether them putting their bodies on the line or them being apart of a storyline that may have real life elements. Some Wrestlers are not comfortable with the idea, but many still do it for the fans. For instance in the past WWE has made storylines about CM Punks family and their history with drug/alcohol abuse and why CM Punk is straight edge or WWE Capitalizing on the Edge vs Matt Hardy fued with the real life fact that Lita cheated on Matt with Edge or the remark that Paige said to Charlotte flair about her brother overdosing which was actually something Charlotte flair pitched to the head writer of the feud. To even Keven Owens remarking to Shane McMahon whom had recently survived a helicopter crash, that Shane McMahon should've died in the crash so his kids don't have to have a "Worthless father". There are plenty of other times where self sacrifice as a thing, it was more common back then. Vince himself got injured in the 1999 Saint Valentines Day Massacre which caused massive internal bleeding in his back that could've killed him, Vince said he doesn't regret it as he is entertaining the fans. Same with Mick Foley and the infamous Hell in a Cell match with Undertaker and him pushing it some consider too far, due to him wanting to entertain the fans; of which even Vince expressed admiration for Mick Foleys contribution to the company but didn't want to see a match like that again from him. Ether way the mindset of "Eddie would've wanted it" originates from this idea of self sacrifice whether it be putting their body on the line or controversial parts in real life to entertain the fans at the expense of oneself or others. Vince McMahon pitched the idea around 2000 with the idea of an incest storyline around the time Stephanie had a baby with Triple H, obviously she was pissed and so was Triple H so Vince scrapped the idea.

This is why I'm always wary of giving people the world title because they've "earned it" by being a great entertainer and/or worker in the upper midcard for a decade. As great as those "Wrestlemania moments" feel at the time, a poor follow-through can ruin it. For me, it's the title defenses that define a great title reign. A title win should be the beginning of a new story; it shouldn't just be the climax of an old story.

Oh wait, they did a similar thing the year before where it was ended because of Brock Lesnar interfering in the match and because it worked 'soooo weeelll' the year before they had to top it. So stupid. I know the mystique of the Hell in a Cell match has been dead since 2008 but come on. Though to be fair there's been some good ones since then.

They honestly should've had punk not return for 2 or 3 months. Instead he returned immediately. After Cena beat Rey. Should've had treaser returns as well. Lesnar certainly didn't deserve it. The streak was build by defeating the likes of kane,rick flair,hhh thrice,orton,shawn micheals carrer & the greatest wm match of all time. That all was part of the streak. All of that summed up is bigger that brock lesnars ufc,wwe carrer combined 3 folds. And lesnar certainly didn't give back the business as much as he should have as someone that took over that big of a legacy. The person breaking the streak is supposed to be overall most over,most deserving, most money drawing & most talented guy of the roster. Lesnar as good as he is has never been that person in his entire carrer. If you think really hard.....that spot has been empty since 2010 which translates to "no one deserving of the streak exists in wrestling" . In short, there shouldn't even be the question as who should break it

Yeah. Triple H didn't need the win over CM Punk. When they put Triple H's position as COO under siege, there was little doubt over who was winning the match unfortunately. CM Punk also missing out on a show-closing Wrestlemania main event is also a travesty.

Kofi's WWE title reign wasn't that short but the way he lost it was a travesty.

I'd argue Kofi is worse than bianca, because atleast belair stayed in the title picture and got her redemption. Kofi was just tossed to the side and went back to throwing pancakes... never even got a rematch.

Cena thinking his way was the best way and Vince agreeing because Vince can never say no to his top guys. Kinda makes you wonder why him and Austin butted heads the few times they did. Every story I've heard of Austin refusing to do something and offering a solution, Vince refused to budge, which resulted in Austin going home. He refused to put Jarrett over, which, let's be honest, was the right call. He refused to lose to Lesnar on Raw, which again, is the right call as that was a PPV caliber match up that should have had some build behind it. Not saying Austin didn't play politics. Every top guy did (except Kane... definition of a company man. Was always happy to help put someone over as he didn't want the main spotlight). Austin most certainly did play politics. But to me, it feels more like the way Taker played politics. Wasn't about keeping themselves over or in the top spot, it was more about what was a better business decision and would actually benefit everyone involved. Hogan, 90s HBK, Cena, they all played politics that benefitted them the most.

10 minutes is to much for part time Brock. That bum loves wrestling matches that clock in under 10 minutes. This guy is a disgrace to the wrestling business and needs to go away forever.

That was for me a very Racist kind of match.. A Big Muscular White Guy squashing a Black Man, then crashing down to the lower Midcard overnight. Lol
