I have a rescued Akita. She was thrown out of a car on a freeway in Texas. We did not know what she was until we found out at a dog show! She was and still is, at 16, extremely stubborn and loyal. She would die for me, and I definitely would for her. She is the best !!!

This video isn't accurate, at least for me. A lot of the dogs my friends have, and aren't expensive at all. The prices listed here aren't true. Furthermore, I have a German Shepard, and even though I'm not happy about it, I'm not rich at all.

my German Shepard was super cheap. There was a bunch of pups (German Shepard and lab mix) and so we took 2, bc they were all gonna be put down the next day. Smokey (the one we still have left bc the other was really sick we had to give her to a vet owner to keep) definitely has all the German Shepard features.

My only pet is a rescue cat She cost us £50 You can get a quality pet for much less than these ridiculously expensive dogs I will admit though, my and my brother would love a cavalier King Charles, they're just so cute, but their health problems would make it quite difficult, and I always believe you should adopt an animal, rather than buy from a breeder.

Wow, your prices are insane. You can get a well bred Akita for $1200-2000 A well bred Rott can bring around $1500-2500 depending on bloodlines. Maybe 6k for an imported one. German Shepherds from reputable breeders run anywhere from $1200-3000 (we have one and so does my mom, my cousin and my best friend) (I've had all the dogs mentioned above) I've also had a Tibetan Mastiff. Samoyeds go for about $2500 from a reputable breeder. A friend had one when we were kids. In all honesty you don't need to be rich to own more than half these breeds. You will spend more on an amazingly awesome well bred Labrador that is started in hunting than any of these dogs listed above.

I see VERY many people with German Sheppards and Rottweilers where I live and my friend has a German Sheppard that wasn't that expensive AT ALL

There was a purebred Akita in a shelter near mine £60 and he had all his vaccinations and had been neutered Really makes more sense to adopt espicially when most of the expensive pure breeds are very inbred with tons of health problems!

We have two Rottweilers of our own! Brick top and Jaws we recently just got jaws he's the sweetest pup! They can be vicious yes but once they are trained they are great dogs! We have 2 children who love playing with the dogs! They are very good guard dogs and worth the money!

I actually own four Rottweilers. Our male, Dozer is an East German rough-coat rottie and his dad, my Aunt's Rottweiler Dakota, was brought straight from Germany and he's a rough coat as well. From what I know, I think she paid around $3,000 for him. Dozer is definitely a big teddy bear and a big gentle giant too. However, he was trained as a service animal by my dad, who's a certified trainer, and is extremely protective of us too. We have one female Rottweiler, Maya, who has a Yugoslavian bloodline. Our oldest, Cherokee, is a big goofball and is Dozer's biological half-sister since Dakota sired them both. Alana, our third female is a rescue and we know very little about her bloodline other than she has a strong one because of her markings being a dark mahogany. She has a litter of six to seven puppies as of now and she's definitely a great mom so far too. So, far we have had no major troubles with our Rottweilers healthwise and also with their training despite the occasional hardheadedness and lack of focus. So, I'm glad that we ended up with such a great bloodline that's for sure and I wouldn't have it any other way.
