Shea Whitney - Awesome videos! My favorite is an oldie but goodie. When I'm in need of a pedi because my feet are feeling a bit... rough - after a shower, putting Vaseline on the feet with socks for a few hours. Soft as a baby's feet after!
Shea Whitney Perfect video timing (Saturday Morning) laundry. Well, a time saving tip I do in lieu of heavy foundations(which I don't like) I mix (in my hand) a loose powder with my moisturizer and apply to my face... this helps my skin---less breakouts. Another! Because I really hate squeezable bottles(hair & body products) I save pumps & replace squirt cap w/the pumps cap. So much easier to use in the shower. Hope this helps. 😘
I actually use baby powder instead of makeup powder. It works great! Same effect. Just sprinkle a little in your hand and run it through your roots! That way you don't have to use your expensive makeup. A little goes a long way too! And I have darker roots and it doesn't look white when I use the baby powder :) Then I take my blow dryer and use the roller brush to kind of blend the powder in and make it feel fresh and clean. Also, another tip of mine for avoiding razor burn is to exfoliate your legs in the shower (I use exfoliating gloves from TJ MAxx) and then use baby oil instead of shaving cream and shave with a men's razor (I like Gillette, more blades the better!) and your legs will be baby smooth and NO red bumps! I used to always get razor burn.
If I'm going out, I leave painting my fingernails until I get into the car. As I drive, the fresh air or A/C dries them while my hands are on the wheel. By the time I get to my destination I'm all set!
Great video, Shea! One of my tricks that I do is when I have a top that is all wrinkled, I fill an empty spray bottle with a little bit of fabric softener and water and spritz the top or whatever you have that is wrinkled and smooth with my hands and Voila! Wrinkles gone! Works great! 🤗💕
I did baby powder & loose powder for dry shampoo when I’ve been in a pinch!! I’ve used the coconut oil for zippers & oil for tangled necklaces! LOVE the straightener hack! Genius
Oh my I love love love seeing how far you have come in style, confidence and growth! God Bless You. You have really helped me out tremendously! I am so blessed to have found you 😘❤
Congrats on over 100K!! Try soaking your nails in a sink or bowl of cold water as opposed to holding them under running water as the water pressure may "move" the polish!
Omg the shirt hanging thing is GENIUS! I hate hanging up laundry, you just saved my life 😂 and you can also do the sweater pulls thing with a regular sewing needle :)
Really like this video, Shea. Great ideas, especially using the flat iron. I prefer to dry my clothes on a hanger, too because they retain their shape and do not need much ironing afterwards.
Great tips! I will have to try the nail polish drying idea. I'm always impatient with the drying process. The straightener tip is one I was doing a few years ago when I was a flight attendant and needed to freshen up my uniform last minute. Works great! Just make sure to not burn the clothes with too high of heat or holding in one spot too long. Thanks for the videos!
That would be a perfect idea for last minute uniform fixes....I'm sure you didn't want to lug around an iron everywhere!! And yes, I'm SOOO impatient when it comes to doing nails! Thank you for watching!!
The laundry hanging hack?! Genius! I've never seen that one anywhere and I swear it will change my life! We are a family of 6 with another on the way so laundry is my most dreaded chore. I'm going to try it this afternoon! Congratulations on 100K! ❤️ your channel!
I'm a new subscriber & i just wanted to tell you that i love your videos! I've just recently discovered the whole luxury/handbag "section" of RU-vid.. There are so many channels, its almost overwhelming! So usually if i find a new channel, I'll add a video or 2 to my "watch later" to remind me to go back & really check out this new channel. Usually most of the videos are the same topic being done over & over, but of course everyone has a different personality & their own style. Sooo when i went looking through your videos- there are so many i want to watch! I'm so glad to have found you- you really do original, different topics.. Thanks & great job! 🙂
Congratulations on your 100k subbies! You have really earned it. They are all great tips. My favourite time saving tip is with my hair. I have neck and shoulder issues so drying my hair is out of the question. It is long like yours so I wash it at night when I have more time and let it dry naturally, then style it in the morning. Hanging about while it dries may sound time consuming but that is my favourite time to get on youtube and watch you lovely ladies. By the time I have watched 3 or 4 it's dry and I have wound down from the day very effectively.
Great job. These are awesome! I've used a flat iron to iron my tops quickly before work. I'm glad I'm not the only one! LOL. Loved all of these. I need to try that hanger trick today!
I always use the trick of powder in the hair when they are greasy and not fresh, but I use with more satisfaction cocoa powder, because I have dark brown hair. It gives also brightness and perfume 😍
For zippers or anything that slides-- I like to use the wax side of wax paper to rub on any sliding object that doesn't function properly. It works on metal and wood. It makes things glide like butter.
That knit picker thing is so cool, I definitely need one! Also, they make something called a sweater shaver that's a little motorized razor especially for knits! They're inexpensive and super handy! I found mine at Walmart.
Hack number 5 I did not know! What a life saver. Number 6~ I do the same thing, I also polish my nails quickly at night and If get a little polish over my nails it's ok because in the morning it will be so much easier to remove when I pick at it or just use a quick q~tip to remove the excess Great video Shea❣️
It's even faster if you string the shirts on your arm in the other direction (i.e., putting your hand through the shirt via the neck first rather than the bottom), then you are "threading" the hunger through the bottom which is wider than the neck. It seems like a small change, but it will increase the speed a lot. It's a pretty standard thing done in retail.
Definitely do a part 2! The things I would add are to go off of the wrinkled clothing- hang it in the bathroom as you shower to let the steam naturally release some of the wrinkles (you can also throw it in the drier for a few minutes). Also, from kwshops channel a few months back- wear socks with your tight heels as you're getting ready to stretch them out a bit before you leave and put vaseline around your toes to help prevent blisters. I have been loving those!
Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers. Really enjoy your content. The knit picker for snags and the shaver to remove balls from jumpers are great ideas.
In reference to Miranda's pedicure tip. Here's mine. Buy one of the pink sponge/scrubby that they use at nail salons. (The one that is really scratchy). After your shower, scrub heals with lotion or Vaseline
Omg congrats on 100k subscribers.....I watch them all and I am totally trying the loose power for the hair trick I have tried every dry shampoo on the market so I am definitely trying that 1st hack for sure , I already do hack#2 saves so much time before blow drying ! Sweater trick is another one I've been doing for some time wow I thought I was crazy ! Great hacks Shea loved this video !
Huge congrats on the 100K subbies! 🎉🍾🎁 I have been a subbie since the beginning of your channel and I remember watching one of those early videos and thinking that you were going to be extremely successful! 😘
Love this video thank you! Loveeee your LV videos they are my favourite but also like when u change it up with videos like this, fashion and your wardrobe video! 😊 xxxx
Thank you so much for commenting this!! I really like switching things up too...it makes my channel have a little more dimension. It's all in the same fashion, style, luxury genre...but a little different at the same time. Thank you so much!!!
#NotificationSquad I'm so happy and proud to witnessing your growth and would love to see you hit more and more milestones Shea😊🎉🎊😄😄 I always learn so many things from you. If RU-vid is a school my favourite class would be yours Shea. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Lots of Love 💜💖💗💕💕💕💕
#4- I never knew what that thing was actually used for! My mom and I always referred to it as the "picky tag remover." We would use it to take itchy and picky tags out of clothes.
Sorry, boots that was very similar to the boots you showed to us。since you never mentioned to subscribe your channel (ha ha). I have already done it,and always remember to press the thumbs up button.sorry about my broken English.there is one more thing that never tell your husband----I thought he was so
Shea I Luv Ya gurl. Thank you for this video, so needed. Super ideas you shared here. The pull thread back is a must do for me. To DRY my kinky hair I use and old well wore T-shirt. Love these clever ideas.TFS&I 💟💟💟
Lol! I have been doing the exact same thing with my flat iron forever! Also use a hair dryer for "ironing" my blouses (while I'm wearing them) lwhile getting ready for work 😊💗❤️️
Love your videos! :) Have you heard of the turbie twist hair towels? I thought they sounded "gimmicky" but they are amazing! I twist my hair up in one of these microfiber towels and it holds my long hair so securely while I'm doing my makeup and getting ready, by the time I let my hair down it's practically dry! I either do a quick blow dry, only about 2 min on long hair, or put in a little product and it's air dried in about 15-20 min, trying the nail polish hack tonight and love the sweater hacks as well! ❤
Love love love this video, per usual Shea!! I never thought about using translucent powder for hair. I have a friend who makes her own dry shampoo in an old makeup container with baby powder and a little Cocoa powder to make it not so white and adds a scent. She just sprinkles it in and shakes it through her roots! I definitely need to buy a knit picker now! Lol one of my favorite fashion hacks, maybe isn't a hack, but to clean jewelry and wedding rings, I use a soft bristle tooth brush and Dawn dish soap. Everyone has those items and it gives the best shine! I also love the hack of using dryer sheets on clothes and hair to get rid of static!
