Heather, you're bringing such a new light into my life! I'm 38 and I've been thinking for a while that I'm too old for fashion. 😅 Binging your videos and planning to swing back into all the fab outfits in the fall, once my baby's born. 😊 Can't wait to rock a high rise again!
Are we really trying to look younger? We're looking to be our best looking and best feeling selves at whatever our current age is and you do a great job at curating looks. We're redefining aging. I love your looks at any age
I am 73 and I do not look it, so I do too much shopping on this channel! i have most of your favorite (out of 17 basics) except for the green utility jacket you like. Love the white look (my mother still lives in my head) so I dont wear it as much as I would like- maybe spring. I do love the high heels still!
I get many compliments when I wear drapey vintage suits over the tummy with a skirt or boys shorts built in. There are many to chose from . I like Cocoship off Amazon
I smiled all through this video! I love the energy, effort and research you put into your videos!! I started wearing spanx and the difference is mind blowing, I can now do a half tuck 💃🏻💃🏻, despite the fact that I carry most of my weight in my tummy area!!
I love Coachella Coral. It is one of my go-to spring and summer lip colors. Thanks for showcasing bold lip colors. These days most influencers and even most of my friends are all about the nude lip, which is fine. However, a beautiful bold lip that compliments your skin tone can be the best accessory. Have a wonderful Valentine's weekend with your hubby!
I love loud colors and bright prints. I guess I’m doomed to look old. LOL! I’ve just never been into neutrals, and I’m good with that. I own some basic black and khaki pants and jeans to pair with them, and I’m out the door. I’ve never worn loud, vibrant colors and prints to look young. It’s just what I like. I’m not wasting anymore money building a wardrobe full of neutrals.
I just love your channel, Heather! I wonder if you’d ever consider doing a video on appropriate hem lengths for jeans. I hem my bootcut or straight leg jeans as long as possible but I struggle with my skinnies and am having a hard time deciding on the perfect length for different types of shoes.
When I get into my older age, I'm going to wear bright colors and lots of jewelry!!!! I'm going to be ostentatious! I've seen older women wear all of these my age and a little older and they look wonderful. They are well put together. I'm in my sixties and it is hard to get into my mind that I cannot wear what I used to. I have tried to not wear too low a top but I have lots because I have a larger bosom. You gave some great tips but older women cannot all wear heels. Our feet are getting bad and our arches and feet spread out like big pancakes. I cannot wear a heel over an inch and I cannot wear those cute little shoes that I used to wear. I'm a first time viewer and love your style and panache. I don't know if you have done much with the older woman style. But we want to have one. I hate old lady pants and old lady shoes and I refuse to wear polyester and go gray!!!!
....Miss Heather...I have ALWAYS liked the high waisted jeans/ trousers....because, I am 5'2" and I , ( like you ) found that they aided in the illusion of " height ", even if I was not wearing a low heel...and of course, when wearing a 2 1/2 " heel or 3 " ( I dont go over " heel,3, basically) it looks really nice. I am 66 years young and I have grown daughters, the youngest is 28, so I do want to look put together since all three of them are so well dressed and they do it with intention...and on a budget. :)
Wonderful tips Heather, thank you. Love that new shade of lipstick on you - very pretty! I can’t see the link for the bronzer that you promised. Can you add it please?
You have such a beautiful and eloquent look. I think your tips are great for women who are thin, chic and petite. Taller women can wear more options. I'm 5'4 so I appreciate your advise..especially scoop necks and v-necks. I've never liked loud prints regardless of my age. But I'm not into Spanx , high pumps or bodysuits. And I usually look quite taller than I am I think it really comes down to body composition, confidence and minimizing your look if you're a bit louder or are the creative type. Because I do think loud looks do cut up your body and hide your frame. After all we are the canvas.
These tips are helpful! I'm mistaken for being to young and want to be taken seriously. I would love more tips to hide mum tum though. Having two babies left some stretched out skin 😔 .
Heather I’ve neutralized my closet now I’m neutralizing my makeup. It’s a shock I’m so used to bright colors but I look younger in the neutrals. I’m 64 dark ash blonde blue eyes. Please do a neutral day and amped up evening makeup video.
I think the best tip is not to wear materials - and I would also include styles - that are unflattering to you. I know you stated in a previous video that the faux leather legging is a staple in your wardrobe.... but oh my gosh they would not look very good on me!!
I appreciate your suggestion but I can’t wear a 3 and a half inch heel with a old disc injury. I was thinking of a lower heel like 1.5 to 2.5 inch heel. Maybe it’s not what works with your style and would understand that. Thanks for the suggestion!❤️
Great video! My favorite look is the faux black leather jacket and ripped black jeans. All the suggestions are awesome. The thing I HATE to see on any woman of any age are tights/ spandex with their butt not covered. I have seen pink and flesh tones-you see everything and it NEVER looks good. Absolutely the worst!
Have you noticed/found a white/ivory jean that is thicker/more opaque that you like? I am not a fan of white/ivory jeans through which skin tone can be detected. Fit and style are one thing but the human eye will pick up on what video format cannot. 😉 And Love the ivory leopard cardigan and all of the looks in this video! Thanks for the great tips.
Your channel is lovely. But I think you should smile more. It softens eyes & face . Please take this comment with an open heart. Many blessings to you!
I love you Heather but I never agree with these fashion mistakes videos. They"re garbage!!! I am all for giving people fashion inspiration but telling someone else what to and not to wear in a blanket statement without seeing them , knowing their personality or how they live day t day as well as body shape is craziness!!!! I am not camaflouging anything!!! I am going to wear what I want for me. I do not get up and get dressed for anyone else. You would be amazed who can pull what off. That s what makes fashion so fun!! So nonsense,,!!!! Wear what you like! take a chance and continue creating new fashion trends. For if you didn"t we would not have people making these videos anyway. Also stop obsessing about getting older! There is not a damn thing you can do about it!!!
