10 FC25 Career Mode Features I'd Love To See

I’d love for them to actually put the effort and love into career mode like they did back in the day.. before they started milking kids through ultimate team..

I think a good addition would be "transfer logic", such as small clubs preferring to sign players from their nationality or the basque rule for Bilbao, avoiding having teams like wolves offering 100m for a player, small details like these would contribute a lot to realism

I wanna be able to see a players career stats, a bit like in FM, I should also be able to see the top scorers and assisters in EVERY LEAGUE, this wouldn’t even be a difficult thing to add to the game

Here are some of mine 1. The ability to play multiple positions in player career mode. Ex. Cm can play Cam or Cdm 2. More players on the bench 3. If youth academies for Ai does come out then a feature were you can buy their academy players 4. Tournament history tab where you can see the current and past winners of the tournament 5. A feature where you can save multiple game sliders so if the game gets to easy or hard you don’t have to manually change it every time

The ability to add a player to the coaching staff after they retire

Here are some other ideas: 1. Overall dropping if the player is underperforming 2. Real youth academies (real u17, u19, or even just u23 teams) so there won't be all regens in like 5 years time 3. Managers transferring and AI able to change their schemes 4. 15 players in the bench just like in real life instead of seven.

I hope they will add the longer intro cutscenes back and add more cutscenes for training, in the manager office, for new signings/negotiations and more. It feels so wrong not seeing the players walk onto the pitch especially in Champions League games. And halftime cutscenes with the players leaving the pitch, going to the dressing room and come back onto the pitch (even efootball shows how the players walk back onto the field)

I would want to see you being able to promote players from the youth academy, and then demote them again. For example if you don’t have any fit wingers you can promote a winger from your YA to play one or two games but not stay the whole season and lose potential

1. Bring back the pre match presentation 2. Have a more detailed stat section for every player like 2k, where you can see past stats and more than just g/a 3. The ability to turn off the board and make the goals sensible 4. More player customization (player editor is right there, why can’t we edit players?) 5. More than 15 seasons 6. More league customization (what if I want the premier league to end in a playoff? etc.) 7. Better world building (I like reading the news stories but it could be made so much better) 8. Better press conferences and player convos and add locker room speeches 9. Try to utilize AI (not saying using it to cut corners, but imagine using an AI that can respond to live gameplay to generate individualized commentary for every match, or custom articles and news from an engine that responds to what’s happening in the game. There’s so much more.) 10. Revamp youth development (U18 team, more detailed scouting reports like 2k, ability to look at other teams youth teams and potentially lure players away) These people are just so lazy!!!! If I played the game for a couple hours I’d be able to list 10 more. It’s so fun inherently that I literally play through the broken aspects because the core experience is so rewarding.

Would love the option to loan a player for 1,5 season. Now it's only for 0,5 / 1 / 2 seasons. Another thing is to 'offer' a player to a club of my liking. This way, you could have a team in a lower league, which develops multiple prospects.

I would love to see an owner or director mode

I think it would be cool that at half time, if you are losing, your manager can walk in and give a speech to inspire players' morale, but there can also be the option some of them talk back, which then you can respond. This would all be done just like the interviews, choosing one of the three options.

I would want to add already retired players or icons/heroes in the game, as well as restart the career of some players

One thing I want is to create our own development style rather than using the target man development template for a striker you can edit it so you can pick which attributes to develop

Suggestion: Improved Player Career Mode Negotiation In Manager mode, when you negotiate with a player, you can set specific things like a release clause, sell on bonus, wage, etc. in PCM, the only thing relating to this is requesting a wage for target clubs. I think that the negotiation system in Manager mode should also transfer to player career mode. It would make it more realistic, allowing you to demand wages and release clauses like a real player.

I’m sure EA will tease us with exciting changes in the trailer and it will turn out to just be more cut scenes again 😂

There are so many simple upgrades to Career Mode that would make it realistic and fun, I’ve definitely got a top 3: 1. Assigning a Club and Vice Captain in the Squad Hub: If the club captain starts a game he gets the captaincy, if subbed and the vice captain is on the pitch it should default to the vice captain! Also, if you substitute on your captain or vice captain, then the captaincy should be given to them mid game! I hate it when I’m a final and I need to make a sub or my captain has been injured and the captaincy is given to a random player 😂 2. Having more Stadium customisation, such as Tifo and banners for specific players. There’s no rhyme and reason to any of the Tifos or banners of players shown and sometimes I want to highlight my favourite player that I think the fans love (prime example being Tiago Cukur in my Salford series, my audience loved him and he was our captain and I’ve never seen a Tifo of him in any stadium 😂) 3. Manager Transfers: I find it incredibly frustrating that when in a manager career mode you can only apply for select clubs at a time. Why are you not able to apply/move to ANY club in the game mid career mode similar to how you chose your initial club at the start! If I’m doing a Journey Man style career mode and I started at Sporting Lisbon, had ten seasons at other clubs and wanted to return to Sporting Lisbon it’s basically dumb luck whether they will appear in the Browse Jobs tab at a later date. Honestly, those 3 simple things would make career mode 10x more enjoyable for me! And now I make content it would both enrich both my gameplay experience and content creation massively! Get on it EA!

I think National team career should be able to stand on it's own, with features to create a team out of players from different clubs (team bonding activites etc.) and being able to scout or watch games to determine who to call up

I'd like to see the stats that football manager has so moneyball would be more realistic

Really hope they add more features it's been lacking for years. Hopefully they can add a buy back clause as well.

Player rating never goes down unless the player is getting really old. I think if a young player has a bad season for his rating, then he should go down.

I just hope for some more leagues, and man i hope U19 teams get added, would also be sick to buy other academy prospects to your own academy, even if they were randomly generated players!

At 5:10 talking about wingers who do what they want and angry brute teams, you can do that with instructions and tactics. You can set midfielders fullbacks and defenders to aggressive interceptions, play a high line too

Also forgot: Maybe clubs could set aside money for their youth teams. The more money put in, the better youth players develop. However this should be clubs specific. This means the clubs in 3rd division don’t have to invest 100m just to get decent players. Maybe like a percentage of the budget is invested. Also, could AI managers be sacked if their team performs poorly. Seeing Man U finish 11th and still having Ten Hag the next season is very unrealistic

A feature I'd like is being able to simulate a season with the game actually using the players in your starting 11. In FM, you have an option where your assistant manager can use your formations and any player you've put already in the starting 11

Player statistical and transfer history is something so easy to implement. Including from seasons prior to the current game. I want to see how many goals Rashford already has for United, and how far off he is from the record etc. Would save me creating spreadsheets haha

I would love for them to bring bonusses on transfer fees to the game; something like 20m + 5m in bonuses and you can also choose how the bonuses get activated, like player scoring 20 goals or winning the league. I would also love for them to make loan-to-buys separate for normal loans, this way you can approach a team for a loan-to-buy instead of loan which they would always reject.

A good idea is owning multiple teams like the city group and red bull

My number one requested feature for many years now has been a veto/approve option for AI transfers. The transfer budgets for AI teams regardless of team quality or starting budget absolutely explodes after the first season and it's not uncommon to see teams like Frankfurt or RC Lens spend almost 200 million on players in one transfer window. Having a veto/approve option where you could set the amount, say all transfers above 10 or 15 million and then each day when the transfers are ready to go through you get an email and you can approve or veto the transfers. NBA 2K has that option for trades and it stops the AI making ridiculous trades. This option needs to come if EA aren't going to bother making their budget and transfer AI logic better.

I think a cool feature would be something they have in NBA 2k which is player mentorship. Young players can be mentored by veterans of the game. In 2k you use that to get badges, in EAFC it could be playstyles, or so that the player's stats grow in a similar way to those of the veteran player, or it could even combine with the feature mentioned in the video about player personality. Maybe a young unprofessional player being mentored by Messi, or Ronaldo, or Modric would then become a very hard working player and it's development would be much better. Maybe it'd be an upgrade in development for all "mental" stats, like composure, attacking positioning, reactions, vision, etc...

Ik this isn’t a Career Mode feature but in FC 25 I think EA should give us the ability to edit Generic Player Faces instead of creating a new player that doesn’t have the same potential, traits, etc. this would solve the issue for Console players who don’t currently like the player faces and want to make it as realistic as possible.

On top of the development plans additional specialized development assignments, for individual stats, for example say you want to train Short Passing as a specialized focus then that player can have that training assigned (like the evos) and have to acomplish certain objectives to achieve a boost. For Short Passing say the player has to complete 100 short passes for +1 in short passing. Also add more variety of training plans. (weak foot boost can be incorporated into this by getting weak foot goals)

The features I’m sure we all want is the feature to load patched faces into the game. It sucks having to restart the whole career if a player you have had their default face patched with a new face. Next we need some sort of a mediation feature so you can actually sort things out with an unhappy player who request a transfer. Rn if a player requests a transfer there’s no way to fix it which is just bad.

-Free agents don’t require scouting. Other teams snap up players quickly as I am required to scout which takes time. -quick scout option. Another way to get certain attributes revealed without having to wait for the full time of a scout. -add MOM tracker as we currently get goals, assists and even clean sheets. -real time player valuations. Based on form and stats, it’d be great to have a tab that monitors players values internally and externally. This info is available in real life and should be visible. It’s a great way to look at players based on form rather than strictly on their attributes. Perhaps players that are outperforming their stats (example, a 73 rated has 15+ goals/assists could get a ‘breakout boost’ window which gives their stats a big boost if a transfer is activated within this time.

1) Make my tactics transfer over from one team sheet to another. 2) Make it so I can pass round the back, 3-0 up with 5 mins left to go and my players don't poo themselves making a simple pass and launch it straight to the 62 rated opponent who gets the power of greyskull, the speed of the flash, strength of superman and finishing of every top striker combined multiplied by 7 so I can have more realistic games on the harder modes instead of having to attack for 90 mins and scoring 7 or refusing to attack on purpose at 3-0 up and losing 5-3... 3) Make my tactics transfer from one team sheet over to another. 4) Make my defenders not lose all braincells and solo mark the only enemy player in 50 yard radius who can just be played clearly offside by holding the line. 5) Make my tactics transfer over from one team sheet to another.

The only thing I want is legendary teams. Or maybe get a couple of iconic players where there’s different versions, maybe you could choose which or its randomised like you could get PSV, Barca, Inter or Madrid R9 in your career save. Or they could implement it in the academy system where you can lucky and scout young R9, real face and everything and as he gets older he goes through his different versions. Idk I just really want icons in career mode. 😭

Hey thanks for the video, I just wanted to tell you that the youth teams are essentials for a football club and for a sports video game for example ( MLB the show "a baseball video game for those who doesn't know" have the first 40-man rule and squad, a double A and triple A teams that you can manage and play with, you can also retrograde a player if he's not doing well and vice versa

Similar to your professionalism rating. I think a consistency rating would be good. Players like Ndombele have so much talent and flashes of brilliance but can’t show it in a run of games, whereas people like Rodri are just a solid 8/10 every single game

Thank you so much for mentioning 2:44. I honestly didn't ever expect anyone else to share this same opinion but it's one of the most useless and removable limitations in the game. EA's need to restrict everything to a specific mode is a very big burden especially when they supposedly have "story game specialists" working there.

I'd love to see them allow co-op play on career mode outside of just local play. I think it would be awesome to manage your favourite club alongside some of your friends, making it feel more like a management team. It's great doing this in local play, but it's hard to get everyone in the same place frequently enough to keep the career mode alive, so I feel like having this feature available online would be a great and easy addition :)

More managerial related things ie hirings,firings more job offers,manager awards, more real life managers even if they aren't with a club ie Graham potter, big Sam etc. Being able to resign from your job. Customisable kits, sponsors. Stats of your loaned players ie appearances, goals etc. All simple and all no doubt already in the database!

It's going to be crazy to see how much quality NCAA Football 25 is going to have in its career mode and then what FC 25 is going to look like haha

This video has the best recommendations of EA I've ever heard especially the longevity of the career actually many of us play career mode alot without missing a single game making it to last over 30 seasons would be a dream for me.i also would like the personalities you mentioned alongside player stats.Great video thankyou for pointing out the most important and wanted features❤️❤️

My only other idea is the ability to toggle off manager objectives. They are genuinely annoying and Im a console player so I have no mods

1. Full player editor - the main menu feature should be added to career mode, as you can manually change stats, potentials, and appearances of players. 2. Authentic club kit editor - after each season you can produce new kits for your team, as it happens in real life, instead of using the same kits for the whole career mode 3. Sponsors and kits brands - the ability to sign with different sponsors on sleves, front and back of shirt, with different requirements. I think those, beside the stadium editor, can change the way career mode is viewed by people, and create an endless variety for many fun hours spend playing it, instead of getting bored after a couple of seasons.

Okay adding to the last point! Buy Back Clauses. I’d also love to get U20 instead of the Academy games idea. If create a stadium comes in add it into the option of Financial Takeover. More overall depth to the Academy. More Individual training options regardless of their position. And 30 seasons please The community page where you can download things from like in 2k and GT would be awesome

Things I want to be added: More in depth squad statistics like for example: amounts of minutes each player has played the season also goal per minute, assist per minute. Buy back clauses, that would be useful if you are selling youth academy players. Season history where you can see which clubs won the different tournaments each year as well as the ballon d'or winner each year etc. A way to track how your players perform at loan clubs so you can actually see how they do on loan. That's just some of the few things I really want

Add the customisable stadium is one I’ve wanted for a while now as it would help develop a club into something I want it to look like. Also adding back the lineup of players before the game as that takes away the a club or national anthem. You get this in old gen but not new gen. Adding buyback clauses and wether a player actually wants to join that team. Managers change overtime depending on wether they are performing well enough being able to upgrade your training and academy facilities to help with academy or player progression would be good I doubt ea will add any of these as even after 10 years they’ve made no change.

The club and league record stuff is crucial in my opinion honestly, there are examples of how it should be done on every NBA 2K game and I'm positive it won't be as difficult to implement as you think.

Online career mode. That's it. They can choose to not add any new features if they want. But that gamemode would revive career mode.

One thing I would love to see included would be to be able to import Icons into career mode. So have an option at the start to add in the icons and have them start at the age of like 25. I just think it would be loads of fun to win the UCL with players like Rooney and Ronaldinho in your team.

My wants: 1. Simulated Youth League to develop your youth players. Have a youth team manager as an additional coach. Your youth team would be a separate roster and you can allocate a separate "Academy" role on their contract. 2. Integrate squad rules for the leagues and thus be able to identify "under-21" players easily. 3. More transfer options. Pay transfer fee over multiple years, loan back option, buy back clauses etc. 4. Definitely more subs on the bench. 5. Get rid of kit clashes. 6. Older players don't lose stats so quickly by default.

Remember when you had to hire specific coaching to improve player stats? If you wanted the strength Stat to increase, you had to hire a strength coach for example

I really do hope that they add more international teams in FC25, having a Copa America competition would be nice with the teams that took part in it

one i’d like to see is higher rated loan players, u see it often in real life where high rated players are still sent on loan cus they fell out with the manager or can’t get game time, think of sancho or xavi simons off the top of my head. Once the first 2 seasons have passed on fifa u can’t really get a player rated higher than maybe 78 on loan cus top teams just say they’re not looking to loan them out. I’d like to see situations on fifa where players like cancelo come out and say they’re not happy so they get a loan in january instead of a transfer for example. I often manage top teams on career mode so i never think to approach teams to get a loan player, i loan plenty out but let’s say on deadline day a player demands to leave and no one wants to pay for a transfer, a short loan would suit everyone

It would be nice if player personalities (if they were to be added) would affect how a player operates. So like for example you could have a winger that does 1v1 challenges more often, or a Cdm who goes for more aggressive slide tackles.

Manager transfers/retirement would be awesome. Each manager had their own formation and style of play. And other teamms can change managers and that would change their formations and players they buy. It's kinda weird seeing Ancelotti still at Real madrid in 10 years

in hte past we alread had it, but with corners or freekicks, that you could make your own tactics for freekicks and stuff

im just disappointed that Red Star Belgrade is not in the game,i mean champions league winners not in the game is wild for me

They need to add a club rivalry thing so say rangers vs Celtic players have a higher chance of getting reds and yellows because they’re clubs are big rivals in real life

This is a smaller addition, but I wish you were able to choose the national team you managed before you started your save like you can with clubs, also this other one might be a bit unrealistic for a save, but I think there should be a setting where you can choose if want to be able to get sacked from a club or not

hopefully, new competition from 2k and UFL will push EA for more career mode stuff being added.

We need WAY more countries to scout for youth players, like jamaica in north america or thailand for example, and still keep the map feature but also include a search bar to find countries. All i ask for is a perfect youth system

I'd love to see, 1, Be able to add badges on create a club! 2, on creating a club, being able to add a sponsor on the shirts! 3, The lower leagues, the keeper shirt being the correct! I hate the generic ones they have 4. When signing a player, there should be more of a fuss made by the club! 5. When creating a player, being able to add traits! Just a few things!

i've been wanting the player history for so long

I'm probably the only one but I'd like to see a small highlights package, showing all the other games skipable for those who don't want to see it. I remember the early games used to have an announcer read out the results much like TV missed that little bit from the games.

One feature I would like is the ability to choose between to kinds of gameplay like in for example madden where you can choose between arcade and simulation which are more realistic. This would be nice so you finally can finally enjoy career mode like football actually plays irl and not just the ai playing tiki taka in your penalty box and shielding the ball

The fact that you can’t have play style or even play style plus without glitching it on console is so annoying to me they have to change that to a system like 2k or madden

I would love to be able to ad legend teams in my career mode save. Also having an actual throphy room would be nice🙌🏆⚽️

I would like performence based OVR growth. Like if Mbappe (even tho he is only 25) underperforms ( say we set the bar for 90+ attackers at +35 g/a) he gets a downgrade depending on how bad he performed. But if Suarez (37 years old) overperforms (say the bar for 84 OVR attackers is at 20 g/a) he gets an upgrade

One thing I’d love and I genuinely don’t think we’ll ever get it is youth leagues or youth academies you can play with.

I would want the youth academy to say a real player they have potential to reach. For example my striker can reach Kane’s rating but my center back is probably going to be someone like Ben mee.

one thing i would like to see added is a toggle on/off for the coaches, like i hate having to go through all of that

I would love it if you could request friendlies with other teams.

I wish you could add playstyles and playstyles + to created players and change your created player’s potential and real players

I think the best thing for me would be managerial changes, which cause teams to play differently than from season 1, quite boring to see the same template with different names, it would be nice to face City for example and years later they turn out to have a Mourinho style

we need more tactics, formations in and out of possession, letting us counter press and press better and set up defences and attacking formations easier, would be so good

I really hope, they implement a club rating system, which would affect whether a player is interested in joining a club. I think it's quite unrealistic, that you can sign a young talent early in your save and regardless of his growth the player will stay loyal to the club. In real life, players outgrow teams and focus on aspects such as chances for titles etc. .

Create a league, feature just like the create a club but with league, you chose if it is in Europe, Asia or other, for continental competitions then you chose the size and trophy and create teams to play there and you should be able to create multiple of them like if you’re let’s say Serbian you could create the 1 and 2 tiers of Serbian football, and also the league and team reputation, so David De Gea won’t move to relegation fighting Korona Kielce from Poland

I think the last part you talked about should be an option , instead of being able to remove the europen competitions you should be able to add Or not add contract clauses to cm

Create A Club needs to have a feature where you can choose an area in the country that they are from so that all teams in the same area are treated as rivals, instead of just choosing a single rival in the starting division and having no 'derby' matches unless your rivals stay in the same division as you right through your save.

Great video as always. I would like to see team's reputation impact transfers ie a bigger team might have to bid higher for the same player than a small team or a player turning me down bc of my team's low reputation. I think it takes aways from the experience when I can sign any player no matter how unaccomplished my team is...

im not really a fan of playstyles in PCM coming from your personality. i think a set of challenges, similar to contracts in PCM, should be given to each playstyle. that way you can be a striker with powershot. personality should be given its own feature apart from playstyles tho

I hope there will be more second divisions it would be some much more fun to play career mode, especially in the dutch, belgian and Portugese leagues

Big one that I would really like to see is the option to turn off sacking or objectives, I took Harrogate town to the prem and still got sacked for not bringing in 2 players from Asia. That right there ruins the game in my opinion.

It would be cool if you could also track news reports on players

as someone who has played the NBA2K sim since 17, getting into fifa career as a manager i thought the game would be some what a close copy. But it wasnt… one of the few features, as said in the video, having actual customization and being able to use online or local files is top f-ing tier. Another super bothering feature not in FC is the career stats!!

I think an overhaul of the international management is needed right now it’s shocking not enough licenses and barebones features even if nations were added with generic kits and just a national flag it would make building up smaller footballing nations fun and would give 100% more authenticity having different teams qualifying for each tournament rather than the same 16 teams that aren’t even enough to fill a whole world cup

Please can they increase the amount of nations you can scout for the youth academy. Its so limited without mods. Europe and the Americas are covered well, but Africa is missing so many countires like Senegal, DRC and much more. It Just seems like an easy feature to implement.
