Potato skins were a favorite of mine in the late 70s/early 80s, especially from the restaurant chain "Ground Round".

Frosted flakes were not used in cooking. It was crushed corn flakes, or you could buy a box of Kelloggs corn flake crumbs.

My Mamaw's pork chops were so good that would melt in your mouth. She dipped the chops in a mixture of egg & milk, then dredged them in corn (not frosted) flake crumbs. This was in the 1960s.

She fried them in a black cast iron skillet, using Crisco shortening.
