The example for voler shows the past participle [Je me suis fait volé mon sac] but in the example for piquer, it seems to use the infinitive [Je me suis fait piquer mon sac]. Why the difference?

ce sens est rare... et c'est même plutôt vulgaire. c'est encore un sens détourné du verbe "attraper". Comme on attrape un poisson dans un filet. c'est plutôt ce sens que celui de baiser (F..k) ou embrasser quelqu'un. Même si la finalité est la même. Il y a l'idée de chasse, ou de pêche (comme un séducteur qui chasse ces "victimes").

choper n'est pas vulgaire, il signifie: "parvenir à séduire", en verlan on dit pécho, cela fait partie du language familier.

I can mean both. "Faillir" as "fail" is pretty rare and more polite. You'll maybe read it it books but almost never in a real life conversation. "Faillir" past participle is indeed "failli", but when you use "failli" as "almost", it will never take an "R". (Well that was confusing, butat least I tried)

That actually is the literal meaning of "foutre" ("to fuck"), but "fuck you" would more commonly be "fiche-toi," if I remember correctly, and "I don't give a fuck" would be "je m'en fiche." That is, if you really MUST know how to say those phrases! :-O

Oh, I'm well aware that both expressions are extremely rude and should therefore be avoided, especially by non-native speakers who could get in a lot of trouble for using them. I myself am far too much of a gentleman and a Francophile to use them deliberately, but some people might use them unknowingly, and while I know that the French really are fairly patient when it comes to foreigners who are at least TRYING to learn proper French, I feel it's safer if the non-natives learn what NOT to say as well as what is acceptable -- why risk accidentally offending someone who might not understand that I simply didn't know any better?
