Red7 is fantastic, it can be as short as 5 minutes and everyone always wants at least one or two more rounds. I have to back that recommendation. Nice job!

I was introduced to No Thanks after watching a Dice Tower video about it and it has quickly become one of my gaming groups favorite games.

Really enjoying these videos, like the little intros and upper production quality, also top ten games like X is a great way to discover new games!

One of the best and simple card games ever, The Great Dalmuti, sure, different type, but it's great fun, easy to learn and teach in 2 minutes and one example round, can be very hard to master, and is just fun.

Nothing beats uno! It's.. *puts on glasses* the number one.

When I have "Uno players" at my house, I usually break out the (what I consider) underrated Locke and Key by Cryptozoic. Usually goes over pretty well.

Would love to see Archaeology - The New Expedition here. Give me the old feeling pushing my luck in UNO as a kid.

Glad Qwirkle is on the list. I describe it to new players as a mashup of Uno and Scrabble.

Thank you - I feel bad sometimes when my daughter or I "outgrow" a game. But yeah - it happens. We have Qwirkle - my daughter thought it required too much brain power but will give it another try. Also want to try the Cats and sushi game. Thanks for these suggestions!

Dutch Blitz, Sushi Go, and Exploding Kittens are other fun quick games that I've got people who played Uno hooked on.

Dice Tower team, you should update this list.

I used to played Uno a lot with my friends, later i learnt that the best rules of the game was all house ruling, it is boring without the house rules. I played it to exhaustion... and when that happened, we replaced it with Fluxx. I would also suggest Monopoly Deal as a replacement to Uno.

Haven't played Uno in a long time, but from what I remember of it, I find Ethnos to be very reminiscent of it and Ethnos is an extremely good game!

The fundamental mechanism of Uno for me is matching colors and/or numbers. For my non gamer friends who like Uno I always recommend Yardmaster. Much meatier with trading resources and special cards plus there the train! On a side note, the box has to be the most physically overproduced game in history. I mean, I wish Catan tiles had the thickness of this little box of cards.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I know you hate Phase 10, but we love the game more than UNO. We also enjoy Skip Bo.

Have you ever played Cabo? It would fit perfectly in this list

Great list. Fugi Flush replaced Uno for me, at least at a 3+ player count.

I would recommend Cabo. If not for other reason then just because the cards are so beautiful.

I'd add Dragon's Hoard to the list. Very accessible, fun game with an Uno like feel due to certain card abilites

I would have picked Cheating Moth. It's UNO with a twist. LOVED by the children I played it with so much, that it's now easy to talk them out of UNO, whenever there are enough players for this game. And I myself, and the other adults, I played it with, find it pretty amusing as well.

It's the most horrible thing ever...when you are on holiday and somebody takes out Uno. And even worse, when everybody else loves playing it...yes 'that's me in the corner'

I do think that Hanabi should have made the list. Sure, it's a little thinkier, but shorter and so much more fun!

Pink Monkey's GOLD UP is a hidden gem and another wonderful alternative to Uno.

Kittens in a Blender is always fun.

I find it amusing that Google, in its infinite wisdom, thinks that this video makes someone want to buy Uno.... :) Though I haven't played it (just watched it a couple times), was surprised to see Sushi Go not get mentioned. But as mentioned there are 100's of games "better than Uno" (though I think the caveat is "also just about as easy to learn" :) ).

If you want family level card games to replace Uno and its "take that" mechanisms, go with: Monster Hunter, Spookre, Mille Bornes, and Dutch Blitz, and even the dreaded Exploding Kittens....Red 7 is a bit too hard id think because even gamers get confused by what cards are usable or not.

No Thanks!: a great filler game. My most played one at that. I agree with Tom on this one, in fact I found it based on Dice Tower videos. Red 7: heard of it, heard great things but was never interested to pursue it. never played it. Am told it is a great replacement for UNO. Bang! the dice game: I agree with Tom. Even though this is a dice game it feels like a card game and is light fun. But... Bang! the card game: an older game, that many have given up on for the dice version or similar games, but I like it, and if you use the expansions you can fix issues most have with the game. 6 Nimmt: I tried this the same day I played No Thanks! the 1st time but wasn't a fan. But many others like it. Saboteur: One of the 1st games I bought to share with my family and went over fairly well, but I am not much of a fan, lately it has hit my meetup, and several of them like it. Three Dragon Ante: A poker like card game with a fantasy dragon feel. A top 10 game for me! Unfortunately this is out of print. I can't even find a copy! Modern Art: an auction card game, with several types of auctions within the game. A top 20 game for me. Boomtown: a unique card game with some auction in it, based on the old west mining theme. My 41st favorite game. Family Business: Only played it twice but quite like it. The is a mobster card game and is my 49th favorite game. Port Royal: A nautical themed card game I think have only played 3 times. I avoided it awhile cause it didn't look fun, but once I played it I quite enjoyed it. My 59th favorite game. Guillotine is my 66th favorite game. And is a silly card game about the French revolution where you behead people. The game is light and silly despite the serious theme. Unexploded Cow is my 67th favorite game, and have only played it once. I think more plays and it will rise. I would like to buy it someday. Another silly themed card game about exploding cows! Diamonds is a classic style trick taking game with a new twist. It is my 89th favorite game. Each suit grants the players different abilities in game play. For Sale is a favorite of my wife's, another game the Dice Tower has promoted often. It is a real estate card game, with 2 separate halves of game play. 1st you bid on properties then you sell those properties.

Tom this must have been a very difficult list for you to make on a personal level. Two games with cats!!

Uno flip is a good twist on Uno

Another great game that is basically uno but with better rules is the card game “cracked” instead of getting down to one card to win, you have to get 4 cards that match your code.

My game group did not like No Thanks . We love Play Nines a game that is called golf when played with a standard deck of cards. There are others based on this Skyjo, Forty Below and Grandpa Becks Golf.As far as I can tell none of these has had a review on the Dice Tower.

I do not know how Bang! The Dice Game is anywhere similar to Uno. It's a stretch. Exploding Kittens, Grass, Fluxx, Citadels, Tides of Madness or Tides of Time, Boss Monster are all great card games.

I really like Monopoly Deal, Skipbo, Fluxx, Qwirkle, and a game I developed in college called Rock Paper Scissors Advanced which is like a super quick card game

My family likes this game. And when my kids were young, they learned colors, numbers and simple instructions (rotate, draw2). But I saw a game online called "Dutch Blitz." I never played it. Tom, have you played it? Is it good to play? I would think this game would be close to UNO. But I can't say "yes" since I haven't played it. Thoughts anyone?? Thanks. Love the videos!!
