Many great video games make you feel awesome, but the special ones make you feel like a game's final boss. Here are some overpowered examples. Subscribe for more: / gameranxtv
@warystatue33 I'd actually have dreams when I'm asleep of me in the armor mode running down streets at high speeds and gliding from building to building.
@Agency Agent34 TOO MANY moves are you FUCKING KIDDING ME? Jesus and here I am thinking games need more combo/powers/skill to have some diversity in the way you deal with enemies.
Prototype 2 is the true and only game where you are literally invincible. You have those two shields that stop every enemy attack and they also ricochet rockets directly at the enemies who shot them. Besides, your powers are so overpowered comparing to the basic soldiers you get to fight with
There's a mutation that gets you literally, no exaggeration, bulletproof. Blackwatch guys start killing themselves as their bullets ricochet off you and towards them. P2 is probably the greatest superhero sandbox game ever made, and that's saying a lot considering we also have other titles like Infamous or SR4.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed would be a good one to add to this list. I sympathized with just about every enemy in the game. Poor souls just showed up for work, only to get ragdolled around the planet by a clone boy with access to the force.
@@funnyvalentinedidnothingwrong what if satan was the doom guy all along and he just needed to make more room in hell and close the portal cause, why not
Buying Prototype again in 2021 was the best choice I made this year. I finished it for like 5 times and grind it to platinum trophy and still coming back to it if I'm bored.
@a straight white man Gold was the first step, after I finished all events on gold I unlocked platinum and needed to do all events on platinum.. That was a pain in the ass..
I played it when lockdowns started in 2020 and it was chilling seeing all the lockdown signs around New York in the game and how close it was to reality. Well except the mutants and zombies
The most I ever felt like a boss was in Star Ocean 2. Getting the Mischief item and obtaining forged medals and also the copy skill I would power level like crazy. Then once you steal the high level armor you are untouchable for half the game. I so loved seeing fire breathing enemies that used to wipe the floor with me not even be able to lay a scratch on me.
Prototype is a franchise that _really_ needs to come back. I love that blend of sandbox freedom and Resident Evil style mutations. There's nothing else quite like it, except that one Hulk game in this list (which was very much Prototype's predecesor) and even then it's only in terms of gameplay. Now that Doom and some others made their comeback, and with the amount of old games being resurrected with sequels or remakes, there's nothing I want more than a new Prototype (and Unreal Tournament). As for other games... I'd say Devil May Cry and Bayonetta are obvious picks. Sure, you gotta not suck at their games to feel overpowered, but once you get the hang of it, you're fucking unstoppable. And since we've talked about Prototype, we gotta mention the obvious rival from back then: Infamous. Basically Prototype but with electricity instead of physical mutations. And as a bonus, I'd say to a lesser degree the original Crysis and it's standalone expansion Warhead fit in the list. Granted, you're no bullet sponge tank, but all the abilities at your disposal makes you very much the boss. Plus it has that sweet sandbox-ish freedom factor that the sequels severely lacked, with huge maps. It's a game that on the surface feels like a sci-fi that is a bit more grounded in realism than the more wacky over-the-top entries in this list, but once you get down to playing it, you really do feel powerful as hell.
Unlucky for us all the series is BURIED deep in activision high stakes of microtransactions, i hope with all my heart that respawn picks this up some way or another
I’m surprised that satan has an army that can lasts eons for a op super human to rip and tear through like paper for that long and on top of this doom eternal is coming out so there’s that
Whenever you play as Vergil in the Devil May Cry games, you are LITERALLY THE BOSS. It’s almost a meme how whenever he’s featured in a different series like Marvel Vs. Capcom, even THERE he’s super overpowered.
The funny thing is; The hulk game that they referenced actually served as the basis for the original prototype. In fact if you watch the footage side by side you can see they're pretty close to to each other.
@@karasuanime ok, I'll remove sarcasm for you. Prototype 2 was piece of shit that derailed storyline, decided it wasn't enough so it just ruined whatever was left and added nothing. It was a franchise killer. So, to begin with, we need sequel to Prototype, second game in the series. Anything else would end up stillborn.
Prototype is one of those games that made my childhood. It hurted me so much when you ignored this game so many times. Thank you for finally mentioning it.
@@veganspaghetti2688 I don't think hes that ignorant to games lol I would guess he knew of the games or probably played a few of them and made the list base on what he and his coworkers knew
Skyrim? One of the songs when you fight a dragon is titled "the one they fear". It literally tells you that you are the dragons boss fight along with many others
hey, take a look on how we handle Miraak, who he claims to even more powerful than Alduin himself, proves once and for all that we're the Boss in this game, and not to mention on how many daedric artifacts we're carriying, dragon priest masks, blah blah....
Skyrim makes me feel like a badass unstoppable force especially when I slow down time and slaughter everyone in the immediate area, absolutely love it. It gets even better if you mod or glitch it so you can shout as often as you want.
NPCs in the 9 Holds: We're free! Me who used the Fortify Restoration & Enchantment glitch + Stalhrim Armor: Oh, I wouldn't say "free", more like... _under new management._
Epic Conquest gives you that feeling after you grind but you don't grind for a long time and then the first actule boss you just stab him then he gous flying but I think they nirthed it by now
I love Dynasty Warriors. Always a great feeling mowing down hundreds (if not thousands) of enemy soldiers. During DW4 doing certain quests I’d play as the ruler of the Allied Army (Cao Cao, Sun Jian, etc) and just sit back in a corner and let the enemy decimate my army till I’m pretty much the only one left and blast off from there. Think the highest KO count I ever got was over 4K. And that was DW4.
Oh, I can sympathize with you there, brother. My most used character in DW4 was easily Xiahou Dun because his attacks just hit like a TRUCK at his peak. Then I found the Create an Officer page and made my own, equipped with Liu Bei's moveset and the attire of a strategist to which I named Zhou Qin. He was a favorite to use on the Wu faction and I would be ripping everything to pieces. Now I play DW8 and my most favorite character to use is Zhou Tai, *hands fucking down.* His moveset just feels badass, he looks like a mix between Roman Legionnaires and Centurions with his armor and whatnot and the fact you can just slice through enemies with almost every attack he has is too overpowered. Plus, he wields a goddamn katana and he feels the most comfortable to use.
@@kevinkaslana9060 Zhou Tai has always been my absolute favorite to use except for DW6. For some dumbass reason they decided to give him a different sword other than his signature katana.
@@kevinkaslana9060 yeah I was heavily disappointed. Zhao Yun was badass to use in that one though. He’s usually my second pick after Zhou Tai. They also butchered Lu Bu, well not really he was still OP af to use but they gave him a different weapon other than his signature halberd.
I'll admit I've never played MGS Revengance but I've seen gameplay and I would like to say I love that you used Invent when describing the game mechanics
Well, you still DO "have" an Army. it's just that it's leaking. A lot. From all the holes I left in it. And several skulls are caved in, so, there's that.
You are actually the boss in every game from the the villians' perspective. (I just saw someone comment the same thing before me but I did not copy the commnet, just wanted to clarify that.)
Why you hiding satan, the doomslayer is just really good with a gun. Hey titan, don't lose your head, he's just really good with a gun. Hey demons, your running the wrong way, you all afraid of a few bullets? You do see what he does with his bare hands gameranx d..dont you?
Considering Id Software's choices for DOOM Eternal, 2016 might be the only game where you actually feel like the boss, meaning gameranx's interpretation might be more right than the one we thought about
No Chosen one from Fallout 2? He blew up an entire oli rig of an evil facist Para-military organization with top of the line post war high tech power armor. He IS the chosen one
I really hope there’s a open world game that you play as a parasite or something at some point, and the premise of the game is to infect people and try to take over the world.
The original Assassins Creed games made you feel unstoppable. Also, Middle Earth: Shadow Of War should have been on that list, imagine Monsters fearing you... yeah..
Metroid Prime series. Once you get all those health tanks and the gun and armor upgrades, the boss fights don't really feel like boss fights. Or, well, they feel like boss-vs-boss fights.
devil may cry. all the mofos start running once they hear "swordtrickswordroyaltrickgunswordtrickswordtrickswordtrick" also dante is literally a boss you can fight in the bloody palace of dmc4, and its an absolute nightmare

For real. In Darkness 2 you can literally shoot through walls and you don't even need to aim thanks to the aimbot. If that ain't boss, i don't know what is.
