I've been blessed by the algorithm. I've seen many of those tutorials and I'm glad every time one of those finds its way into my feed. When you started talking about environments, I instantly thought about Max Hay so I'm glad you included him on this list.
these are hard to do but really appreciated. a search often turns up the same top channels. really been wanting to get back into 3d after stopping a year ago so this helps to re learn some stuff with new stuff.
I've sat down and talked with Maarten Nauta on my channel, extremely nice guy, insanely talented artist, and I'm glad he's getting the recognition he deserves!
Here's some more channels absolutely worth checking out. PzThree - An absolute goldmine. If you only check out one video, make it "Blender - Topology Fundamentals". Ian McGlasham - All about SubD modeling. The star video you can't afford to miss is "Blender - Loop tools Curve Tool : Panel Beating". Alex on Story - Mostly animation workflow. The kind of training you would otherwise shell out big bucks for. Blender Bob - The man with over 20 years VFX industry experience who actively uses Blender within the Real By Fake studio.
Great tips. Thank you. Heads up that the Maarten Nauta link next to his name seems to be broken. (We can just click the vid link below it and find the channel that way - but thought you should know)
Oh yeah. perfectly titled. literally criminally underrated channels. you are actually committing a crime by not following them. amazing suggestions! loved the video production too..
@@Chocofur 😊 wait, really? i'm so happy 😄. i love your stuff. never stop making videos. ever. you're funny. and your edits are top notch. and the knowledge you give is next to none. so really appreciate you ❤
Just randomly found your channel and this video is really a treasure for those who wants to use blender. i have a request, please make a video on the best Blender to Unreal Engine Workflow? and suggest some channels who generally use Blender to UE workflow
Actually i have heard 80% of the channels so youtube is not to blame. i think blender is used so diversly that for an artist it is very hard to focus on one thing and get better at it then move to other. even in modellling, there is hard surface, subsurface, nurbs, character, sculpting, procedural modelling, besides that different way of doing the same modelling by different artists. i even show one lady who is using metaballs for hard surface and i get amazed that even that is possible. Apart from all these learning we get demotivated when we heard some news about AI, dream textures, automatic character creation, image generation from prompts by adobe and much more. so it is very hard to focus on learning. youtube packs very powerful channels to learn from but deeply it also recommend something that you think is super helpful and after somedays you find it is just a hopeful content and not to make you skillful. i think first we should make our fundamental strong then only we should learn something new from youtube.
I love that you're sharing the content of these extremely talented people and help them and us grow in the community. That said, Ponte Ryuurui is an arrogant scumbag who does not have any respect for his followers, to the point of deriding beginners asking for advice, stating he had "no time to be mentoring NPCs".
thanks for the comment! tbh I was never aware any of that. my main merit to include the channels was the 3d knowledge that was shared and I personally found quite a few of Ponte’s videos to be very informative and helpful. but I guess everyday you learn something new… I hope the rest of the video was enjoyable!
@@Chocofur It was indeed enjoyable! Again, I don't want to come across a some sort of hater drama queen, just felt that beginners should be aware. Anyway, life goes on. Keep up that good work, man.
choco - friendly tip - try different thumbnails for this video - I think you might experience a higher view count after that. I know the stupid faces on thumbs are cringe but they generate traffic. Just try it.
Some time ago there was some documentation of Ponte being a pretty... problematic person. Make of that what you will, i just thin some people might want to consider his statements before supporting him.
@@Chocofur ABsolutely fair and i appreciate this video a lot, just thought it might be something people take into account when supporting channels, potentially by buying from them
My initial reaction was to hate this vid because of the clickbait title but it is really useful - am happy I'm actually subscribed to some of the channels mentioned. I still hate the clickbait title.
I'm glad Outgang is getting the recognition she deserves. She's great at teaching and you can tell she has a lot of experience by how refined her output and workflow is. Can't say the same about Ponte Ryuurui, tho. Subpar workflow, abysmal teaching skills (or lack of will because if he's going too fast you gotta "man up"), nonexistent aesthetic sensibility and blatant misogyny.
