Will Rub N Buf work on metal? I found a beautifully shaped, tall vanity mirror on a marble base at a thrift store but the gold finish is worn off almost completely.

I have never thought of using it so liberally, and I love the mirror. I have several thrifted ones that now, I can make them coincide with one another! Thank you! First time watcher.👍

@@oldmaplehome *Elizabeth, how nice to know my comments were missed by you❣️😊 I have been having some health issues for the past several months; it's been a challenge to even watch your wonderful video content, let alone make comments. 😔😬* *I am inspired to make a purple wisteria tree for the bedroom 💜 because the majority of the blossoms I have are purple. However, the colors of my blossoms range from white to lavender to many shades of purple to such a dark purple they are almost blue-black. To achieve this, my biggest challenge, I believe, will be finding a nice, thick piece of grape ivy wood, which is what I think the wood is that your wisteria tree was made from. This is an educated guess on my part. 😊 My bowers are definitely made from VERY THICK - about 4 to 5 inches in diameter - grape ivy branches. Talk about a Divine ☝️gift....I knew some people for several years who grew concord grapes....for probably at least 10 years....on the cyclone (chain link) fence that surrounded their yard. When the new owners arrived, they HATED that grape ivy all around the fence and wasted no time cutting it all off of the fence! 😔 I was appalled; the grape ivy was gorgeous and the concord grapes were so delicious‼️😋 But that day, I just so happened to be stopping by to introduce myself to the new people when they were cutting the grape ivy down, and asked if I could have some of the pieces. They told me to take as much as I wanted, because they were just going to BURN 🔥 IT ALL anyway‼️😳🙈🙉 So, I grabbed as much as I could carry, LOL❣️🤣* *I had NO IDEA what I was going to use the grape ivy branches for the day I got them - but I KNEW I HAD TO RESCUE THEM for something important and beautiful❣️ I had to let them completely dry out over about 3 months in the hot summer sun - and then I peeled off the outside layer of the branches to get to that beautiful, almost red oak color wood underneath. Once I saw those gorgeous, natural vines, it CLICKED, because they LOOKED JUST LIKE WISTERIA VINE BRANCHES I had seen in so many gorgeous garden pictures - especially like those in pictures of Martha Stewart's garden in Connecticut❣️🤍💜Then, I gradually added individual wisteria branches to these grape ivy branches so they would drape and cascade down, just like real wisteria does. Then, I anchored the branches to the walls. 🥰 Truly, this has to be one of my most satisfying DIY home projects I have EVER done❣️💜 After all of these years, it STILL makes me smile‼️🥰💜🤍🦋🌹🌸🌿* *Please send prayers 🙏 heavenward on my behalf, Elizabeth, that God will once again provide to me the perfect branch(es) for the creation of a wisteria tree❣️🍃💜🤍🦋🌸🌿 I imagine it may take some time to find...but I never put God in a box, since He knows the desires of our hearts...the perfect branches could show up as soon as tomorrow, LOL❣️🤣💜* *I don't have Instagram, but I can promise you this, Elizabeth: WHEN I am able to create my purple 💜 wisteria tree, I will find a way to get a picture of it to you - along with photos of the bowers of wisteria above the windows, and the bowers of wisteria and roses draping down from the wall above the headboard❣️🍃💜🌹🌿🦋* *I am so inspired by this idea - 💡it's got my creative juices flowing❣️‼️❣️💜🤪🤣*

Of all people, my Dad was the one who told me that when I was first married in the mid 80s! I had found a gorgeous secretary desk and the older lady (haha - probably same age I am now!) selling it loved my then 2 year old daughter and wanted me to have it so badly that she offered me a great price. She'd had someone else already look at it, but she knew I'd care for it as she had and wanted it to go to a family. I hesitated because I didn't know how I would get it home. I called my parents when I got home and my Dad told me when I came across something like that to NEVER worry about where it would fit or how I'd get it home - just buy it and THEN figure it out! I hung up immediately and called the woman, but of course the other party had bought it in that 2 hours, so I missed out on something I ended up paying a couple of thousand for later instead of the couple of hundred she was literally giving it to me for. My dad was right and I followed his advice every time after that! No more regrets like those I've carried for 35 years for that desk.💕
