If you don't know by now, I have a 'slight' sense of humour and I incorporate it into my hair content😅 So, while some of these products may be completely necessary for you, they don't carry much weight for me anymore. No hard feelings to people who still use them🤗
I agree 100%. I have thrown out so many products only to return to simplicity and watch my hair strive. This includes; relaxer stretching through protective styles, deep conditioning every wash day, oiling my scalp and adding some leave in conditioner. My only issue are my edges which I have been working on for quite some time and I believe with patience they will be fine. Love from 🇩🇲
I completely agree with everything you said. The more simple the hair routine the better.. I was guilty of the olaplex bandwagon and hair growth oil and I’ve noticed it has not done anything significant to my hair. So shampoo deep conditioner moisturizer and style it is. And maybe a leave in 🤷🏾♀️

Silk pillowcases in this hot Caribbean weather....Oh hell no...😂😂 The pandemic personally made me overspend on hair products, cause there was nothing else to do and plenty of time to get scammed by the youtube "must haves"....I have given away almost all of what I bought and settling into a simpler and less expensive routine, that is serving me much better....great week ahead to you Dena....
Girl, I feel you and I agree with you 100%. I stopped buying gels because it makes my hair dry and leads to breakage. For the hair growth oils I just mix my own why purchase hair growth oil when you can mix your own. Very very good points, love this video.
Great video! Silk pillow cases are for those who don't TIE their hair at night! I don't get on the bandwagon as far as youtube hair video. 😕 my mom, who transitioned a few months ago, never tied up her hair and slept on satin pillow case-silk, but I know a lot of people who don't like hair ties. I haven't bought any of those types of products in a good while. I love the pre-poo by African Pride though but it's hard to find so it's not a staple. I do get the salon olaplex service when I go for my relaxer but I don't buy the products outside of that. That's interesting about the silk pillowcase, I've never tried one but living in FL I'm glad I never did, lol. 💜
I can truly relate on all the products that you stop buying and I’m one that is not a fan of gels I feel as if they don’t even work& in hair bonnets I have enough of those but I feel you on the part where people do not wash them. That’s just nasty.

There’s so many people on TikTok selling hair growth oil. They all have very long hair, and then thy have people thinking their hair will like theirs. 😂
I used gel twice on my hair and don't like the flakiness and dryness. I recently bought the ORS gel still haven't opened it lol... ORS Hair Sheen lol girlllll don't know the purpose 🤣.
What's your views about putting semipermanent rinses on relaxed hair? And I have just like yours; the length relaxed and all but I realize my hair has been coming out from the roots(my hair loss when I comb out my hair and take it from the comb is as long as the length of my hair)😢
