It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost two decades since the first “Harry Potter” movie came out! It doesn’t matter how many times we watch the movies - and we’ve watched them a lot! We thought the movies were absolutely perfect the first time we saw them. But the more we watch them, the more we notice a few things that might not be quite right. Some plot holes pop up every now and then.
But there are also some scenes from the movies that are downright creepy! And the filmmakers expected us to just go along with all the weirdness. But we have questions! I have some solutions! 1: The executer couldn’t use Avada Kedavera to kill Buckbeak because that was an unforgivable curse! 2: The basilisk venom did not kill the horcrux in Harry because Fawkes healed him before it could. 3: The hug between Draco and Voldemort was improvised. Tom Felton who plays Draco was as creeped out as you were! 4: Harry didn’t remember exactly when his mother died so he couldnt see the Thestrals until Cedric died Also I LOVE HARRY POTTER Ps Thestrals are not creepy neither is Luna

According to the book quirell was not killed by Harry. Harry faint before quirell died and quirell died because voldemort left his body. That's why he can't see thestrels after 1st year

The scene where Voldemort hugs Draco was actually an improvisation of Ralph Fiennes who plays Voldemort. Tom Felton revealed it in an interview that they had to do that particular scene quite a lot of times and each time Ralph did it differently and so the hug was quite spontaneous. That’s why Draco looks a lil surprised.

Honestly, it was probably better for Lockhart when he lost his memory because he didn’t need to live with the horrible things he did, he was a lot happier at St. Mungos. He loved to sign autographs too so he is still the same guy but better and happier. 😊

I think that even though Harry finally hears his mother screaming when dementors are near and that he saw his mother die, he was too young when it happened for it to have the intense emotional toll it would take to see thestrels. He also didn't have an emotional connection (of a positive nature) to Quirrell. Luna was old enough at age 9 to have had a developed relationship with her mother--and then to see her mother die would have more of an emotional effect.

It was mentioned somewhere in the book that Dumbledore hired Lockhart because no one else would apply for the job. So basically he was stuck with Lockhart, like it or not. The spell "Sectumsempra", that Harry used on Draco, produced some very creepy, and unexpected results. Technically, Harry almost killed Draco. If Snape had not been around, Draco very well may have been killed.

2:44 Rowling says you must have "seen and processed death" to see them. Harry was too little when his mother died to be able to process and understand it. And for Quirrell, you're wrong. Harry did NOT see him die. Yes, Quirrell did die, but Harry didn't see it. He was unconscious. So, that's why it wasn't until Cedric had died that he had seen and processed death.

3:47 - i can fill that plot hole real quick: it didn't KILL Harry. You have to kill the horcrux, and since harry didn't die from the venom because Fawkes healed the wound before it killed Harry, the Horcrux never died.

The reason why Voldemort and Draco's hug was cringy and out of place is because it was improvised. But it still questions the directors why they left it in rather than re-shoot it!

The idea of protecting kids from scary things is fairly new. Growing up in the fifties we had Hammer Films discovering color made blood look really cool. Action movies! Westerns, and others had scenes that would freak out our narrator here.

Okay but some of these scenes are moderate compared to other ones in the movies. What about the scene where Voldemort comes back (where we see Wormtail cut his hand off and take Harry's blood)? And what about Hermione getting tortured by Bellatrix Lestrage at Malfoy Manor? The inferi (dead bodies!) in HBP! Battle scenes during the Battle of Hogwarts in DH part 2 where there are dead bodies on the ground? All the scenes where someone dies (Cedric, Sirius, Dumbledore, Dobby, etc.)? I would definitely consider these scenes less kid-friendly than many mentioned in this video, such as the one about the troll or Voldemort's face. Yes, they might be scary for kids but I wouldn't consider them as "not meant for kids."

The thestrals don’t actually cause a plot hole, the requirements for seeing them are just gotten wrong by most people. You have to have comprehended, grieved, and gotten over death before you can see thestrals. Harry was to young to comprehend death when he saw his mother die, didn’t grieve for quirrell or Tom riddle and hadn’t gotten over cedric’s death by the end of goblet of fire. And with the horcrux/basilisk situation, the carrier of the soul has to be completely destroyed for the soul to be destroyed too. When the Phoenix tears saved Harry, they saved the horcrux in him as well. And the draco Voldemort hug was not scripted at all, Voldemort’s actor improvised the scene. It only happened in one cut and they kept it. No one knew it was going to happen, so the cast were equally suprised.

That gig was improvised by Fiennes, who was absolutely brilliant that day, out of 25 takes he didn't say his speech 2 times the same, started picking on someone else every time, he already freaked out the whole cast on set. And then came this hug, Felton was totally scared.

2:26 It is very simple when you are a baby you do not remember many things you nearly remember somethings. The thing is that Harry was too young to understand death, in the first movie Harry actually was meant to fade away before killing quirrel. And if you still ask when Cedric diggory died Harry was suppose to see them but it will be odd that jk introduces them at the end of the book. Will have took out all smoothness. 5:18 Dumbledore hired him to proof he was lying, and also because Voldemort put a curse in the job making it that every profesor will last a year or less.

Voldemort's hug was not in the script. He improvised to show that Voldemort is incapable of love and does not know anything about it. This adds another layer of resentment in the watcher's minds.

Was Harry truly a horcrux? A piece of Voldemort's soul splashed on him. Also, I think one has to intend to make a horcrux. You have to kill someone and do some sort of spell. Voldemort never intended to make Harry a horcrux.

2:32 Actually harry never saw lily dying because a that time his eyesight was much weak as he was just a 10 month baby and if you have read the book so actually harry never killed quirrall he got fainted and when he opened his eyes he was in hospital and quirrall was died by professor Dumbledore . . . . . 3:48 if you see movie carefully so a hocrux can be destroyed by one or four attacks of the basilisk teeth but harry only got 1 of it and i you have read books so the hufflepuff cup took 5 to 7 hits of basilisk teeth
