also around your camp you should put fishing line with tin cans in the corners so when a zombie hit the line because it smells you then the cans will hopefully wake you up by clashing together like wind chimes, also the fishing line should wrap around trees so that its above the ground and cant just be stepped over

Another option for making fire that is really easy to make is a fire piston. Make a tube out of wood, made a rod to go into the tube. Put a piece of cotton or other flammable material on the end of the rod and put it in the tube. Whack it down. The pressure causes the kindling to ignite making a coal. super simple.
