No. The doors are to protect the intake because the soviet union assumed the first strike from nato would be on the soviet airfields. So the idea was like the ww2 YAKs they would need to take off from improvised runways which also would have a lot of debris.

I just bought the season pass dlc for pc yesterday. Ive only played the raven and morgan once so far(and the first sp mission) This is interesting, i rarely use first person or cockpit view.
The mig21 shock cone is wrong when your speed increases the shock cone should retract into the aircraft not extend it only extends when the aircraft is at lower airspeeds
