Also Mexico City has not stayed affordable, it's very expensive. Average nightly accommodation is 125USD. Who is writing this stuff?

Sofia is not a friendly city and their internet sux. I was just there, all over. Absolutely NOT. Also - a lot of these countries are under Schengen Visa restrictions. You can't actually stay there for long in 2024.
