The cleaning sponge was just ruining his pan by scraping off the teflon.

Emery paper is aluminum oxide (heavy duty) sand paper on cloth used for smoothing steel cutting in manufacturing after filing. i wouldn't use it in the kitchen. it will damage your surface. Only maybe for heavy oxidization on non food surfaces. it will strip off your coating like Teflon from pots/pans and scratch the surface leaving a place for food to stick and culture bacteria.

Made it look like new, but full of scratches!

I picture a huge dumpster in the back of the garage full of pineapples and kitchen gadgets that have been used once.

He sais: "Wow, this sponge is amazing", and all I can see is all the scratches it leaves on his stainless cooktop, and that non-stick coating wearing off from that aluminum tray as he's rubbing it with the "magic sponge".

If you patted that steak dry it'd have gottena crust in seconds.

The Emery sponge is just sandpaper, We use them in the UK as flexible sanding blocks or foam sanding blocks.

Emery sponge on cookware: you're removing the nonstick surface!

The potato Gadget you could use that for many things Kul, you could use it for hash browns and making potato pancakes. Actually both attachments work really well

Taras isn’t the brightest comrade in the USSR.

For your cooktop you can use oven cleaner spray instead.

We use the Emery sponges in silver smithing. We use it to take off burs in the metal. Also If I were a tiny kid those coasters would be confiscated immediately for the greater good of feeding my dolls. As plates with attached bowls for soup...

Hmmm, if you wanna get a really good crust on your stake u must pet it dry first (with paper towel) and then use blowtorch to get that nice crust

Those gadgets with multiple interchangeable parts should be color coded. That sponge was for stainless steel, titanium and cast iron. You just removed the teflon of your pan/tray.

Almost every kitchen I ever worked in for a job had one of those butter Wheels they are very useful

Use the blow torch thingy to heat and strip paint. It diffuses the flame to a wider area. When using the potato ricer my mom would still cut them into smaller pieces first.
