Are you kidding me? LEGO's Battle Droid design is extremely dated. It needed an overhaul 15 years ago. Clone Army Customs has since come out with their own redesigned B1 Battle Droid, with posable legs, articulated wrists, and new torso and back molds. The CAC version feels like a proper LEGO minifigure, and something LEGO should have made a LONG time ago.
Being able to watch lightspeed travel in Lego Star Wars 3 was one of the funnest things in the game. It really made you feel like you were in an actual Star Wars capital ship and not just a static location you do stuff on.
Based on the hidden salute feature in Skywalker Saga, i thought it was fascinating how clones would start attacking jedi at Coruscant and other planets with clones considering Order 66
If you do a special combo attack with Grievous by doing two light attacks and one heavy attack he will grab the enemy by the head with his foot, toss him against the ground and then do the spinning blades move to finish him off This combo is taken from the 08 Clone Wars where Grievous duels Ahsoka on Florrum and does the exact same thing
Didn't Lego Star Wars: The Video Game and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga come out before Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)? So it would be a reference to Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) then, right?
Despite its misses with the Clones and some other details, Skywalker Saga still has an absolute TON of great details and little features throughout. It’s really a shame they didn’t have more time/resources to polish it fully and give us more characters (like the Clone legion class variants), add in a character creator like other games, and just polish up more of the details/features (like how some Clones have the wrong markings or some characters are in weird classes). Still though, it’s a great game, and honestly the Capital Ship encounters and piloting/collecting them is one of if not the coolest new thing they added imo, the similarities to LSW3’s ship setup are nice too. Also shoutout to LSW3 Clones using a hybrid of the 2002-2005 era Clone torsos and the 2008 TV show torsos depending on the character. Pretty sure if they have chest armor markings, they use 2008, but if they don’t they use the early 2000s movie design. Good video as always, I had no idea about some of those combos in TCS.
Finding the BF2 references in the different classes and their skins is such a great little easter egg, the Skywalker saga did well in the smaller details. It's a shame that the level of detail wasn't present in other aspects of the game.... Including that droideka💦
I was slightly disappointed Lego Clone Wars didn’t have Quinlan Vos given how prominent he was in his own comic stories as well as the clone wars comics (both part of the very long Republicans series).
I've never seen anyone mention that in tss if you have a astromech as your main or second character your ship will have that astromech replace the default r2d2
the physical B1 minifigure has had very very minuscule changes to the thickness of its hips over the years, and famously the arms changing in 2007. but thats kinda it.
Okay I know the lack of Rex salute is probably a coding error but I'm gonna headcanon it as being because of him losing his rank as a result of the events of Order 66
For Lego Star Wars 3 minifigures the inconsistent might be because of the development cycle. The game was in development while the clone wars show/sets also was in production. So designs might not have been finalized.
Rex is unfortunately considered a villain. If you fly around with him other clone factions will be hostile towards him. During my playthrough I conquered and captured the Venator from the 501st with Rex as it's technically not part of the 501st in the code.
4:16 classic ep 3 obi-wan is still better IMO, especially compared to the Skywalker Saga Version which looks too messy and the legs are even less accurate, making it look like he has beige boots.
They quite literally did rewrite history by making Darth Vader and Anakin the same character and making Leia Luke's sister. Not to mention small things like Clone Wars 08 retconning Evan Piell's being alive in ROTS.
@@expendableindigo9639 Master Ivan piell was never seen in rots the film so his ‘survival of order 66’ is from an EU storyline . George was very adamant on making the storyline for the clone wars unique from the EU. He never likes to copy or reuse ideas and would rather tell his own story. If he had just copied the EU, it would be seen as an adaptation and George wouldn’t get to tell his own story. Also it would just detract from the uniqueness of those other works done by those EU writers and artists
Very True, George himself never pushed a hard “cannon”. It was less about “cannon” and more about just telling his own stories. He intentionally made his version of stories differed from other eu projects. But would often give a nod to other works that he enjoyed. For example, the 2003 Ventress outfit made a return in TCW as one of many references to the older micro series.
