From plant killer to flower farmer in a year, now that is the definition of success! You’re a sweetheart, Jessie! Thanks for sharing your journey so that we can learn these lessons with you!
OMG the whole weed thing is so me! I thought the same thing I can manage these weeds I will do it every Wednesday Wednesday is Weed Day. Oh yeah that did not happen lol I have so so many weeds just like you did LOL
Just subscribed. You’re so funny and helpful with your tips! 😆 I’m in zone 8b as well and I can agree with you how hot it is and how my much work it is to garden.
Thanks for this great video and the good tricks Jessie ! You have done so well this year. I learned so many things with you and would be very happy if I can become as sucessful as you are one day. 🙂🤩👍🏼👏🏼
Thanks Jesse, I've learned so much from your videos. I did buy all the seeds but have since stopped, lol. I will start my flower farm journey soon and this is so helpful. Would you mind showing us your drip irrigation. Thank you!
I'm glad you found this video helpful! I just got done pulling up all my irrigation. I do have a video on called bed prepping where I lay down the irrigation. I'm still learning to make it more efficient so I don't go into detail. I will try to be more detailed in next year when I go to lay it down again. @gardenanswer Garden Answer has a few detailed videos on setting up irrigation that you may can find. 🙂 I contacted irrigation King and chatted with an agent when ordering mine and they were able to walk me through what I needed.
Do Do you think I could use the commercial landscaping fabric to put down now, so that I can kill the grass and the weeds that are already in my spot, that I plan to use for my flower area?
Landscape fabric isn't great at killing the weeds since it's still breathable. It helps prevent them from spreading. I would kill the grass with plastic first then use the Landscape fabric.
@@45jessiemad Thank you. One more question (until the next) I see that seeds come in packs of 100, I am uber-small scale, if I use 25 or so this spring, can I save the rest for the following spring?
Hello ! Im also in Louisiana I was wondering if you had any study guides or tips for the floral exam here , it’s really hard to find any ! I love your dedication! Don’t give up , you are inspiring to some people like me !
Yes! Buy the creative flower design book recommended by the Louisiana horticultural commissioners office. Study the rules and regulations for retail florist on the Louisiana horticultural commissions webersite, study house plants identification. Quizzlet had helpful house plant study guides, and florist exam study guides. Ready the whole florist book, but really focus on design terms, and how to care for cut flowers.
@@45jessiemad is the practical part still apart of the exam , this is where you arrange in front of a group of people ? I have horrible anxiety and I’m sure this would make me nervous especially if they’re staring at me lol .
@@amberhorne8690 nope! The passing rate was only about 30% due to this, so they passed a law and got rid of it. You'll go to an office and sit in front of a computer, and answer multiple choice questions. They can be tricky though!
@@45jessiemad awesome thank you so much !! I didn’t even pay attention to the fact that the book was on the site lol , you’re awesome ! & remember don’t give up !
