CREDITS: Levels 1-4 are a variation of Edward Marlo's Miracle Aces, published in Faro Controlled Miracles. I first learned a version of that routine from Card College Vol. 3 by Roberto Giobbi. If you know what you're looking for, you'll spot a relic of the late Rod the Hop -- a full description is in Steve Forte's Gambling Sleight-of-Hand books. The final production used in Level 4 is the Benzais Spin-Out move. The production used for level 5 is known as the Friction Toss, which dates back to Professor Hoffmann's Modern Magic. Level 6 is based on a production by Steve Freeman. Levels 7-10 are a handling of the Ambitious Aces plot, which apparently originated with Hofzinser. My handling involves techniques and principles from Jean Hugard, Frederick Braue, Wesley James, and Tom Ellis. For more information on stacking the deck, see "Gambling Scams" by Darwin Ortiz and “Poker Protection” Steve Forte. I got the idea of the "10 Levels" structure from watching videos by WIRED magazine.
I love how, on the surface, these videos appear like they might be a tutorial. And yet they're actually killer routines. And then, in the comments, you provide the open door to the secret library: if people want to know, you've told them how. This is great, because it's so much better than just doing a reveal video: effort is required and rewarded. Brilliant stuff!
Level 11: And finally, watch as the aces transform into a prenuptial arrangement, your social security number, an entire ACME safe, and the original print of the declaration of independence.
Hmm.. Knowing, for the most part, how this is done - it is weird to see that first few levels are actually much more tougher to execute that the level 7 - 10!
@@tgnuma2 So what he does is he bends TWO cards, with the ace of spades showing, he then puts the bent top card (which is some random card) into the middle of the deck, while holding down the bent ace on top of the deck. Then, when he causes it to "come to the top of the deck" he just releases finger pressure on the sides of the card. It's an amazing effect, and super easy to perform, I have a tutorial on my channel if you want. David Blaine does this trick all the time.
Yea we used to do 7-10 as kids forcing 4 cards under the ace of spades. "I'm going to put the aces into the pack", puts in 4 random cards. All the next levels are razzle dazzle with Aces sat on top
You are truly stellar. Real operator. Mechanic. Absolutely stunning handling. It takes a good amount of focus as well, remembering where's what , what's next. Our Magic forefathers would be proud dear Brother. :)
Outstanding performance my friend. You are an inspiration for me to continue learning this art. I’m glad I found you and thank you for all that you do.
Daniel, you have a gift. I don't just mean as a magician but the way you structure and script your videos. You make them entertaining and educational but when I say educational, you have educated me in the knowledge that I have absolutely no idea what a dealer is doing....
5:03 he double lifted two cards and bend both..whiles cutting the deck, he immediately sent the second bend card to the half deck and firmly pressed the real ace of spades ( also bend) in his right hand but still on top...that was quick though..well done 👍
I adore how you put a little spin into level 10. I was like hey, that's the classical finishing move for the ambitious card, no way THAT can be level ten.... :)))
Fantastic Dem, and it looked effortless and flawless . . . In your hands! Thoroughly entertained, thanks so much💯 Also enjoyed the live chat yesterday, more of the same please!!! 🎯
Beautifully executed! Daniel is no doubt one of the greats in this field. Seeing Daniel’s performance is both mesmerizing and delightful. Thank you Daniel for being an inspiration and a joy to the world.
Dammnnnn! Such clean and precise execution, even though I could follow nearly all the work, seeing it done so perfectly is no less impressive and I'm in awe still
that was awesome! you are the best, such a pleasant performance. it is a win when the performer makes you want to be tricked, rather than mental gimmicks making the experience unpleasant; huge props to a performer who can fool a person and not leave them irritated or skeptical, great job! so much content in a short time....i've seen $89 shows where it takes that long to load the lady into the box to get cut in half, this was much more fun! rock on! love and peace my friends
Nobody can do the second deal better than richard turner!! They say your not suppose to lift your wrist to do the second deal..but anyways your 1000 times better than me daniel your freaking amazing
Bare in mind ppl who watch those channels are either magicians or know about magic or in between. Lol like me.. good show and the ambitious card twist was good.. the quadriple lift as well... Shuffle was seemless and u r good.. step it up bro. Wish you the best
Very Very clean! You are an amazing artist! But the last ace of spades that was sticking out as you were getting to level 10 wasn't the ace when you flipped it over, I saw a face card. I don't wanna be the heckler because you are smooth with every hand gesture and the way you explain what you're doing! Very well done sir!
I hate how as im learning more and more magic, especially with cards, im starting to notice small things hes doing. Of course im still lost and have no idea how id be able to do it, but certain forces and other things i notice and honestly its put me on the edge about learning magic
It is so awesome and so natural and cool you are. How are you performing this so casually? Could you please tell me how can I learn these tricks and do you have a website where you give tutorials...I mean you should totally give tutorials on how to do these because you are so awesome...

Oh man I really love this one! I'm actually learning this kind of routine these days. It will give me some ideas of how to produce them. Anyway, it was stylish and clean as f... lol 😅
Hey Daniel. I really am a big fan of what you do. Would it be possible for you to do ten levels or types of passes. I would really like to see your opinions and performance of them.
Figured youd be one of the most populair magicians on youtube. YOU SHOULD BE. ONLY 47K SUBS WHAT IS THIS. Daniel honestly you amaze the fuck out of me with these moves. You do them in a way that seems so effortlessly easy that you annoy me😂 in a great way! Keep it up :)
Level 5 if you really watch how he mixes the cards you can see that he’s not really mixing the card and puts two cards on the top and two on the bottom. I hope I got that right!
I've been doing sleight of hand for over 10 years, but if you focused only on the techniques in this video, you could probably learn it in a few years.
@@XNDL44 Check out the “magic starter kit” in the description of my videos. Some packs of cards and both books linked there will put you well on your way to learning all of this. You first will learn the fundamentals of how to hold cards, how to shuffle, etc. and then can start learning sleight of hand techniques and tricks. I also teach private lessons, and you can learn more by messaging me at danielroymagic.com/booking.
