The song is "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" by Flatt & Scruggs, and the first lick is what I've always heard reffered to as "The Scruggs Lick" or "The G Run" here in Nashville... Great lesson so far, hoss! Thanks!

I've played for over 30 years, and that SECOND lick is AMAZING! I've played similar Bluesy things with JUST the G string, but adding that major tonality with the B string? I'm gonna use that a lot, I think, LoL... Again, Great Lesson, Hoss!

Nice lesson. Just started learning bluegrass after 40 years of playing guitar, mostly classical and fingerstyle. Bluegrass is fun. Why do you have tab below the video and not real music? Thanks
