I saw her on a number of films and tv shows from that era(60s and 70s)-an attractive and talented woman who never got the credit and success she deserved to have.
Sheree North also played Claude Akins ex - wife in the T.V. show Movin' On. He played Sonny Pruitt in that series, along with Frank Converse as Will Chandler.
I didn't know about here earlier career, probably because I hadn't been born yet. I just remember her mostly as a beautiful TV actress, very talented, always liked her. I had no idea she was as old as she was because she didn't look it. Must have been fit from all the dancing.
I found Sheree by way of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, in which she played Charlene, Lou Grant’s bombshell girlfriend. The ensemble cast is legendary, but Charlene commands the screen, and I found myself wondering who is this amazing actress? Thank you for posting this bio of this amazing woman.
You were NEVER a standby You Had So Much Talent In EVERY WAY God Rest Your Soul YOU WERE THE BEST OF THE BEST Thank You For All The Wonder Memories I Will Cherish For The Rest Of My Life !!!❤
I liked her in The Shootist as John Wayne's past lady. She came in acting all caring and then showed her caring was for herself and wanting to profit from her personal relationship with the J.B. Books character.
because her hair was long and flowing instead of that harsh, fixed, short awful 40s and fifties look. All the women looked the same and kind of old with that hairstyle. The early 80s mimicked it somewhat and all the girls at my high school looked like old ladies with fixed hair to me, it took a lot of beauty to show thru that look, it was hopeless for any girl who wasnt naturally stunning.
The wedding photo of her with Sommer is right none of the others were of her other husbands. The first guy is not Fred Bessire but a man named Medschlapp who was married to Carole Landis. This attached photo is Bud Freeman her second husband. Her fourth husband was Phill Norman who was an Emmy winning title designer for TV and movies like Ordinary People. He started his art career doing things like the graphics for Mr. Magoo's, A Christmas Carol. This photo is of British writer Phillip Norman who has written biographies of The Beatles and other groups. Also, North was never romantically linked to Moe Sedway of Bugs Segal's gang. He claimed to be involved with the young North but that was corrected by older dancers who knew he was lying because the kid stuffed her costumes and the gangster didn't know that. The last photo here is of actress Sheree Wilson not North.
She didn't marry old men. Except for the dark haired man in these photos, the pictures here are incorrect. Her first husband got her pregnant when she was 16 and he was in his mid 20's. Her second husband wasn't much older than she was. Third husband was probably 10 years older than she was. North was 2 years older than her last husband.
The photo of Sherre's 3rd husband John Bud Freeman is incorrect. The man holding the saxophone is Lawrence "Bud" Freeman a famous jazz saxophone player.
The copy on most of these videos is repetitive: this channel maybe should bring in a copy editor to make for a better presentation. Also a video editor to coordinate the narration and the images.
~ SHEREE NORTH ~ (the Hollywouldshouldcouldn't, missed out on some great talent from Sheree North, too bad for them. also- who's the Marilyn Monroe they mention)
While many of the facts are interesting ,the middle portion is poorly written and repetitious and poorly narrated with many tail offs of the narrator's voice. The writers and the narrator should both be replaced seeing as all of the reports that this group produces suffer from the same problems, along with the laboured efforts to fill in a time frame with disorganized structure of reporting. Get an education in writing before you go public, YOU ARE NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME!!!
And a few narration:photo mismatches, as the still at 6:21 showing Tom Ewell in The Lieutenant Wore Skirts film with a young Rita Moreno, not Sheree North.
When she was first dating her fourth husband, Phil Norman, they were hit by a car after leaving a restaurant on Wilshire Blvd. She wore an eye patch and had scrapes and bruises. Norman sustained a broken arm, leg and was unable to accept his technical Emmy which I believe she accepted. It didn't affect her career. She was with Norman from 1980 to her death in 2005. They didn't marry until 2 years before her death.
@@angelseari4 thank you for clearing that up cause I was hearing that for years for the most part back in the day Hollywood often was big on misinformation on their stars I really like Sharee I thought she should have been given more exposure and better roles thanks again for the info
