Dawn was not only beautiful on the outside with her physical beauty but she was also beautiful on the inside as well with her friendly and caring and loving personality. From what I've heard she was also friendly, caring and very loyal to her fans even many years later in her senior years. That is a rare quality in celebrities and stars these days except for a few. Rest In Peace Dawn.

I met her a few times in Hollywood and Los Angeles. The first time, she came up from behind and took my hand and said I think I know you! I turned around and said I am SURE I know you!! Same here - Mary Anne was my First Love/Crush (pre-teen years) - I didn't realize it until much later, I had been comparing all the girls I dated to Mary Anne and NONE of them even came close. Yeah, I eventually married and in back of my mind I "KNEW" I was settling for Second Best. Yeah, I know, wasn't Fair to my then wife that I had compared her (secretly) to Mary Anne...why I haven't dated since my divorce that happened nine years later...No One is like Mary Anne.

@@free-energy-systems I'm Grateful I never had children with my ex - I caught her cheating - thus the divorce. She went on to have FOUR children and NO two of them have same father. To me - it's NOT a Relationship - it's a Commitment. "IF" she had never cheated, we'd probably still be together. NOT that I felt I needed to explain this to you - I don't want/need others reading my comment and thinking my divorce was because of Mary Anne...it wasn't.

Dawn Wells, as Mary Ann, was so cute and adorable. The fact that she is grounded and friendly is also a very big plus. Mary Ann’s qualities go a long way in my humble opinion. She was the perfect friend, girlfriend and wife if Gilligan, Skipper and the Professor stopped for a moment. I saw her in the film The Town That Dreaded Sundown. A film about the true story of a series of murders and attacks that occurred in Texarkana, Arkansas and Texas in 1946. Dawn played one of the victims. In one scene she was crawling through a front yard and dogs were barking and growling at her. Some of the production staff were armed with shotguns to scare the dogs away from Dawn. Even in that movie she was beautiful. May she Rest In Peace.

Tina louise is very attractive women but her character on Gillian's island was what we refer to as very "HIGH MAINTANENCE" so despite Ginger's good looks she was far more trouble than she's worth Mary Anne on the other hand was as cute as can be with a far more easy going manner and charm that made her irresistible sad to see you go Dawn
