I just wanted to mention that the date of this video's upload, Sept. 14th, marks the 7th anniversary of my RU-vid channel! I say it all the time, but I would not be here without your support, and I thank you so much for taking the time to watch my videos. You better get ready though, because year 8 is about to be the greatest this channel has ever seen!
Type: Full is actually a Silvally. Type: Full was the Pokémon’s original name, but that data was lost after it went crazy and they put a helmet onto it. After Gladion stole the Type: Nulls, he named one of them “Silvally,” meaning “silver ally.” After a few months, its helmet broke off, becoming the majestic Pokémon we see today. As Gladion was the first one to actually see this Pokémon, everyone went along with what he nicknamed his Pokémon, Silvally. In reality, though, it is a Type: Full.
I always thought that Silvally was the failed attempts because it could only be one type at once, while they were trying to making it every type at once. Correct me if I’m wrong
Type:Full and Silvally, one and the same. Type:Full went berserk, they put a mask on its face to suppress its uncontrollable powers. It breaks it after finding a trainer it can trust, and that trainer names it Silvally.
Hell weather condition: all pokemon (including ones in pokeballs) suffer from all possible ailments and status conditions at the same time, and all pokemon that faint this way become permanently unusable. Also, pokemon may try to escape from pokeballs (like misty's psyduck) and may disobey regardless of badges earned.
Jeffrey Bensinger someone @ a modder to make this happen. make a yokai mechanic / Zelda mechanic of a blood moon? For a certain time frame... it’s hell? To compensate make a heaven weather pattern that doubles exp, stat boosts and ev’s gained incase your team gets annihilated. Sound like fun? Yeah. You’re welcome.
Tbh, I feel like Castform needs a Sandstorm Form not only for the fact that it would make sense for Castform's ability, but also since Weather Ball also changes to a rock type move in a sandstorm
I was actually the person who put it on Bulbapedia years ago. I also put on Bulbapedia how the color gold is related to the Psychic type because of the Gold Badge and the Gold candy. Which I later saw back in a Jwitz video. Pretty cool how you can have an influence on RU-vid videos you're gonna watch years later because Pokétubers oftentimes check Bulbapedia which is free to edit for everyone
@Qüïññ the Éśpékŷū didnt say that. Not your fault pikachu stole the role of mascot. (My theory is that mimikyu is gengar, clefairys shadow. Pikachu stole clefairys role as mascot, angering clefairy and its shadow.
@@PersonGuy Nope. That's the incorrect pronunciation. None of the pokemon official material pronounces it that way, including but not limited to the anime. It's officially Ar-Key-Us
What kind of retarded pronunciation is "R-key-us"? Have you ever heard of latin? Arceus is a combination of the latin words "arcanus" and "deus", the correct pronunciation is "R-ké-oos".
Gen 5 remakes are the thing I'm most looking forward to. I really hope they manage to give Unova a face-lift because I loved it already. It would be lit to battle N in his castle after he unifies the dragons!
Unified dragon is dificulty due to typing restrictions. It could be a fire/electric type with an ability that boosts dragon moves and also the abilty ignoreing effects of turboblaze/terravolt. Or it stays as a dragon ice type still but that seems suboptimal. Or it becomes mono dragon type which also doesn't really fit. Also obviously a fully fused dragon would be really broken with bst of 720 same as areceus. I guess a final option would be to have it a mono dragon that forme changes into electric/fire form by mega evolving/gigantamaxing.
@@shanez1215 The helmet was to contain his fury but, in the anime, he bursted his hammer to save Lillie and, thanks to Gladion, he managed to contain his fury afterwards
Actually Porygon 3 could still be a thing, via a branched evolution. Because of the Dubious Disk, the in game description actually states that the producer is unknown rather than Silph Co. Thus a new item could be introduced to create Porygon 3 via Silph Co., or the item could simply be called Patch Notes to continue the evolution line. Also, I think the Castform would be rock type, not ground. Mostly because Weather Ball used in a Sandstorm becomes a Rock move. It would also benefit from the Sandstorm buff that rock rypes get too. Each Castform benefits from the weather it turns into in some way or another.
I always thought it'd be funny if we got a Mega Porygon Z instead, and it gained the Bug type because glitches are bugs in a computer system. I thought this could've happened in Gen VI because, like Eevee, Porygon gained a new evolution in every even numbered generation. I was disappointed nothing happened to Porygon in that generation . :(
An alternative evolution for porygon 2 would be a nice idea, you can decide to use the dubious disk to make him evolve into porygon Z(funnily i guess Z may be a glitched 3) or maybe with an item called:Final Upgrade you can make him turn into a porygon 3.After all alternate evolution is nothing new since it would be the same as poliwhirl case:you can decide to turn him into poliwrath with the water stone or turn him into politoed by trading a poliwhirl with a king’s rock.
@@SapphireMeteor Mega evolutions are fucking bullshit, how can a mega stone work on an artificial Pokémon? The idea of making a Porygon3 as an alternative evolution for Porygon2 is way better.
@Mcheetah Wouldn't they be able to use a similar program to the one they used to make Spinda spots unique to at least make the scribble marks on Mimikyu different from one another?
@@voilet-the-non-violet-vulpix while theoretically they could, that wouldn't guarantee that all of them look like Pikachu, which was the intended purpose. How they did it still stands as the best option.
Eh, I'm more worried about what it means when I am breeding Yamask for Shinies, Natures and IVs. Got a Shiny... but the IVs were not good enough. So now I have to breed so many more Yamask.
@TheWizardMus I think there's been some confusion. I'm not sure I illustrated my thoughts correctly. I wasn't talking about using a program to randomize what area of Mimikyu gets colored. My thought was a program that randomizes the pattern of the lines within Mimikyu's "eye" and "ear" areas (but nowhere else).
Sunny Day: Gen 2 Rain Dance: Gen 2 Sandstorm: Gen 2 Hail: Gen 3 Sandstorm was one of the original weather trio, so it annoys me so much castform doesn’t get a sandstorm form It could even have earth power to help the rain form with its electric weakness
I think the only reason they did hail over sandstorm, was if they were attempting to mimic the Weather Trio. Sunny is groudon, Rain kyorge. With normal being rayquaza. Hail only makes sense if you think REALLY outside the box. Ice forms in the upper atmosphere and falls.
Yeah that was my thought too, a sandstorm isn’t a weather condition in of itself. It’s a product of a weather condition, but the right geography has to exist.
@Taf Ram pretty sure they won't do that, giving mimikyu transformations for all the pokemon in a mimikyu style? you think lazy gamefreak would build that many models for just one pokemon?
This man's got an ASMR mic, I can hear all those important clicks and pops on certain letters. A slightly quieter voice and this coulda gone in accidental asmr
Didn't look at the link that jerome posted, but I would guess that it has something to do with the fact that a sandstorm isn't really a weather condition, unlike sunshine, rain and hail
My guess is because sandstorms don't come from the sky, where the other weather conditions do. Additionally, all of Castform's forms feature clouds, which you can't see in a sandstorm. Castform is a cloud, I think, not a water molecule like someone else said. So it kind of makes sense why it doesn't have a sandstorm form if you think about it like that. I still think it should have one, though, because sandstorm IS a weather condition. It could be shaped like a cloud of dust spiralling into a tornado of dust.
Omg I hate that. I also hate how he says “and I, will smell you guys, later” like ew it’s so wrong and cringey. Like, an enthusiastic “smell ya guys later” is perfectly fine, but the way he says it is so wrong 🤦🏻♂️😭😂
Re: Mimikyu, Many ghost-type pokemon come into existence in response to feelings like spite and grudges, or the creation of inanimate objects. What if Mimikyu came into existence as the embodiment of the dejection any wild pokemon felt for not being worthy of human affection? Or as a direct response to all the love Pikachu received through merchandising, an equivalent exchange of sorts where the antithesis to that love was created? I really enjoy coming up with my own headcanons. I'll still need to try to solidify this one. Thank you for the inspiration to think it up. :)
@@LuxrayLloyd Alolan Exeggutor is the original Exeggutor in universe. Galarian Corphish could be the same thing as crabbing is popular in British Seaside towns
If Pokemon is making real world cities in the Pokemon world (Paris, London,NYC) , Boston would be the perfect place for the original Corphish, mainly because Corphish is closer to a lobster or crawdad. It's called the Ruffian Pokemon in the pokedex, so that would be the perfect place for the original location. Lots of history in Massachusetts as well, so i think it would be a great place for a new Pokemon game. Or at least a city in it. #Pkmn4US
There were three in Gen 1, but they were cut down to 2 in Gen 2 before they realized that they look too much like Pikachu and decided to scrap them altogether. Because we can't have Pikachu clones! Nope! Not at all!
FINALLY, I always loved those "lost Pokemons" thing, and despite some fan arts, no one ever really talks about them. This video is great since they need more attention, specially Porygon3 and the complete dragon, and I didnt even knew about Type: Full (idk if he really is Silvally or not....?), anyway, great video
Jersey Jimmy porygon-Z has a base stat total of 353, it’d be cool if porygon3 had the same, just invested in different stats Edit: base stat total of 535, wow
woah there bud now calm down for a sec, you know porygon Z is already a good poke in competitive with great moveset and stats but upping it's defense to 140? that's better than celesteela, heatran, ferrothorn and toxapex that's just an overkill
Another lost pokemon: Shadow Lugia/XD001 Well, the whole Shadow Typing as a whole is gone. Yes, it was cool to be a thing back in the Gamecube days but I really wish it had stayed.
UltimateFireCracker Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness was a side game with the same gameplay style of the main installments back in generation 3, and is where Shadow Lugia originates from. Furthermore, Pokkén Tournament is an official spinoff, and Shadow Mewtwo is therefore a real, official pokémon. Do some research before you claim something’s fake.
Azure Greatheart triggered much? I meant they don’t exist in the anime and rpg games, and aren’t in the canon just like Primal Dialga was also never introduced.
Aiden Scovel I know the games I mentioned aren’t main installments, I even straight up called Pokkén a spin-off. I was calling out Ultimatefirecracker for claiming that Shadow Lugia and Mewtwo aren’t real pokémon despite being in official Pokémon games, even if they’re from spin-offs. I know the spin-offs are separate from the main games though, it’s even why I wish TPC would start making more after they apparently forgot that they could in generations VI and VII: The spin-offs add a lot of gameplay variety for fans who aren’t in the mood for a main installment, which is why Pokémon’s my favorite game series.
prolly becos they wanted to end its evol. line putting a Z meaning the last alphabet letter, if they had put 3 it would mean that it is not finished like it can have 4, 5, etc. 🤷🏻♂️
For the shellder branch evolution, I could see the evolution happening within the next few years. I mean, they gave farfetch'd an evolution 20 years after it's original generation, so who's to say that shellder won't get one down the line as well? Maybe it would be water/poison. Signature move: Neurotoxin. This poison-type attack does super-effective damage towards psychic types. Makes sense to me. Maybe it would be called Cloison. Like Cloyster but poison. IDK.
@LagiNaLangAko23 Claydol is something completely different from Castform though, it's a Clay Doll/Clay Idol with the mystical powers of whatever religion created it, although whatever similarity is found between it and its fellow Gen 3 alumnus Castform only makes another point for making Sand Castform a Rock-type imho, in order to further differentiate it from Claydol. :3
Silvally is type:full and the lore behind type:full doesn’t describe it as being every, it says it can possess the power of every type through RKS, which is exactly what silvally does. There’s no arguing this one
Basically Silvally is Type: Full, the evolution from Type: Null to Silvally is litterally getting rid of the mask, obtaining the RKS-System and for the rest having pretty much the exact same body... but I agree with you on the rest of the video! Especially Sandstorm Castform!
Like many people, my head canon for Raikou, Entei, and Suicune's previous forms are their beta designs and in retrospect from the short depicting their death and resurrection, their silhouettes kind of resembled the beta designs
It literally just dawned on me (randomly) watching this video that the 3 Unova dragons are the 3 elements of Tri Attack 🤔 would that mean if they were to come together the original dragon would be normal type?
Technically they do exist they just do not reside anywhere near the main line series of games ranging from Pokemon red blue and yellow to the present day.
Elizabeth Azzinaro Those two don’t count in my eyes. Missingno was never intended in the first place. Primal Dialga does exist, just not in the main series titles. Even in the titles it appeared in (those being PMD Explorers of Darkness/PMD Explorers of Time/PMD Explorers of Sky (not 100% sure about EOS), it can’t be obtained as an ally through normal gameplay. I don’t know if Primal Dialga was intended for the main series titles or not. One more thing: Primal Dialga isn’t primal evolution as Pimal Dialga is known as Dark Dialga in Japan. Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogure both have Primal in their Japanese names, unlike Primal Dialga. (This paragraph has been sourced from Bulbapedia and put into my own words, if anyone is wondering.)
Primal dialga is just a mistranslation the actual name is something like dark or evil dialga it’s just like the dark type being the evil type the name isn’t everything
Honestly yeah scyther might have evolved from kabutops or genesect BUT they are not the same Pokémon in genesects movie fossils are shown and they aren't kabutops fossils
The missing sandstorm Castform is actually pretty logical: Castform changes forms due to metereological weather conditions that are "produced" in the atmosphere or above. They only link to clouds (or the lack of them) and what falls out of them (rain and hail). Sandstorms however are more of terrestrial phenomenons and not really weather as such. That's how I understand it.
@@matthewradtke5753 Their referencing a translation error that occurs in Pokémon Red, Blue & Green where a CPU character incorrectly states that a Raichu they were traded evolved. You are correct Raichu has never been able to evolve but at one point before the first Pokémon games were complete Raichu was intended to evolve into Gorochu but for whatever reason the 3rd evolution was scrapped.
In the Japanese version it's called Thu-Fi-Zer, after the Legendary Birds' Japanese names. Thunder(Zapdos), Fire(Moltres) and Freezer(Articuno). In the English dub the creature isn't given a name, though some call it Zapmolcuno.
It's odd how wheater ball, castform signature move at third gen, have a rock variant when use on a sandtorm, but castform itself doesn't, great video by the way
After thinking about it, I think the reason Castform doesn't get a sandstorm form is because the other three are related to clouds, or lack thereof, whereas sandstorms exist independently of clouds. Castform is based on clouds, so this makes sense. Personally I'd still like to see a sandstorm form, but that's a plausible reason we didn't get one.
I’m one of the people that believe we’ll see the “original dragon” as a big story in the gen5 remakes. It would be so awesome, and maybe combine the story of BW and BW2 with it. Since they obviously wouldn’t remake both even though they’re so different.
With the introduction of region variants in sun and moon and already hoenn variants confirmed in sw/sh i would not be surprised if sw/sh had the native version of corphish. It annoyed and confused me greatly we never got a sandstorm castform as well. i mean all other weather types could be overworld and you had the move sandstorm and hail in gen 2.... why did the not do it?
It’s implied that Kyurem was the original dragon Pokemon. The legend says that Kyurem gave the two brothers it power in the form of Zekrom and Reshiram so they could see whether Ideals or Truth was stronger than the other. Upon creating Zekrom and Reshiram, Kyurem became like a husk and left to live in the Giant Chasm, which is implied to be the battleground where the brothers fought to decide who would lead the region. So we know what the Original Dragon is, we just don’t know what his original form looks like.
Also alolan exeggutor is native to alola. And for crawdaunt it could be likely because there is a lobster problem in the UK with the natives and non natives. We could have og Crawdaunt Vs clawitzer
We Did get Type:Full That's what Silvally is. Type:Null without the head weight. Sure, Silvally can't use all types at the same time, but it can use all types and it's the pokemon's true form.
I remember seeing a theory that Suicune, Raikou and Entei were Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon respectively. The only evidence to suggest it is that the Legendary Trio’s hidden abilities and the eeveelution’s abilities.
A Pokemon fan game where all the Pokemon were either scrapped designs, scrapped Pokemon or lore/movie/anime only pokemon would be cool. Although sprinting would take ages.
The Gold/Silver beta demo apparently had a different fire type starter than we got. I know I saw on the internet somewhere that apparently there was supposed to be another horse Pokémon in the Ponyta evolution line. That horse Pokémon was supposed to evolve into Ponyta.
“Incredibly tight-lipped and mysterious” about the lore of Unown. Right. That’s definitely what they’re being. Not lazy, no, they definitely aren’t just lazy.
The way I see it, Castform is meant to represent water based weather, thus sandstorm isn't counted. Hail: frozen water Rain: falling water Sunny: little water/arid Normal: cloudy, slightly humid Sandstorms dont really fit in water. Another hint of this is found in Castform design as Imit is shaped as a water molecule.
What is even weirder about Castform is that Weather Ball, it's signature attack, works with Sandstorm by changing it to a Rock type attack, but the Pokemon itself is incompatible with Sandstorm, which means that Castform in a Sandstorm gains reduced power on it's signature attack.
The only other Pokémon with sect in its name is Parasect so the theory that Parasect originally evolving into Genesect only for the evolution to die out due to the mushrooms attaching themselves to Paras and taking the energy needed for evolution, preventing Parasect becoming Genesect for the rest of time.
It can’t be parasect. I mean, if you wipe out its mushroom it’s definitely smaller than Genesect, and it doesn’t have an Upright ( Upright is the word?) form. They’re super different. And parasect isn’t prehistoric Pokémon. Maybe it was in those times, but it just isn’t. And again, parasect is more the mushroom that the Pokémon. Parasect is just a husk for the mushroom. So just don’t make that types of theories.
@@alvaronavarro4895 Paras was most probably around the time that Genesect is from, only they'd need to be able to enter a more powerful form to be a apex predator, hence Parasect likely evolved into Genesect. The mushrooms did have benefits to begin with but they stole the energy needed for the second evolution into Genesect. The shape of Parasect and Genesect's claws match. Do you seriously think Parasect always had dead eyes? Cause I think that if a Paras was stripped of the mushrooms at birth and kept away from until it evolved, Parasect would have alive and a corpse pilot by a fungi.
madpsycho6, but that doesn’t happens, eh? And by the way, the pokédex clearly says: “The mushroom on his back seems to have the control over Parasect’s body”. And by the way, it’s name literally means Parasite insect. The mushroom on his back is a parasite. And there’s a real life type of fungi who does this to insects. Look for it an say to me if the insect is having benefits from the mushroom. And the parasect evolves into Genesect.... if parasect has the mushroom since born, I don’t think it would evolve into something who doesn’t have it .also if the mushroom controls Parasect and it’s presumable evolved form also has it, cause it has no sense to be based on a parasital fungi and whipping of the Core of the design, it doesn’t have any sense to kill the thing who is controlling the entire Pokémon! End of the controversy.
There was probably a time where Paras didn't have mushrooms, something happened to the climate or environment that lead to Paras finding and using the mushrooms to survive (they have benefits short term but become worse the longer used), resulting in Paras eventually becoming a permanent part of it instead of something that's helping them survive. If the very early Paras and Parasect didn't have mushrooms, Parasect wouldn't be a zombie like the Parasect that players have come to know and would have the energy to evolve into Genesect. Fun way of thinking about it is Galarian Zigzagoon and Hoenn Zigzagoon, Hoenn Zigzagoon was introduced first but the oldest branch of Zigzagoon is the Galarian form which has a second evolution in Obstagoon.Paras as a species in the games is not the same as the Paras species that was around 300 Million years ago, the ones from 300 Million years ago needed a second evolution to survive better and be a apex predator but over time, the mushrooms stole the evolution energy from Parasect and denied Parasect as a species the chance to evolve into Genesect completely.
Was gunna say, I love when they do the region variants and how the ecosystem changes them. Best example they've done was the Ratatta vs Gumshoos . How the Ratattas had to hide underground and they turned "dark" I want to see more of this. Like what if what Sharpedo pushed out a certain fish Pokemon from the sea water into rivers and changes they body type and possible elemental type. It's cool to think about
Though i was bothered by the lack of castforms sandstorm form in the beginning too, i realised that sandstorm is in fact not really a weather. Of course for battling in Pokémon it doesn't make a difference but for castform it does, considering it changes it forms via changes in temperature or humidity.
I would love to see new Unown forms released as new regions cover previously unexplored areas of the real world. For instance, the Greek Unown letters would be super appropriate for a region based on Greece/the Mediterranean Sea area. The Cyrillic Unown would be great for a region based on Eastern Europe (Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine). More Unown could be introduced for regions based on Africa, the Middle East, and India, as they all use their own writing systems and derivations of such. We could even see Unown forms released for regions based on ancient societies that used a writing system that no longer exists. The possibilities are endless, and with Gamefreak really emphasizing the "global" nature of Unown, it would be appropriate to introduce forms that represent that. Plus it would add more insight into the lore behind Unown and maybe we'd finally understand its origins.
I would love to see a galarian Corfish family. As explanation I would say that the original galarian form live in cold water of north Galar so they are water/ice type. When intreduce in sub-tropical Hoenn region they lost their ice type and Cradawn (sorry for the orthograph) gain a part dark type to become more intimidating just like Sharpeedo.
I think what’s under mimikyu might be some sort of other idea for a gastly evolution that got scrapped, it looks like a dark purple ball like gastly but vastly stays as gastly.
Perhaps Tangela and Tangrowth’s true form. I believe it’s said those two Pokémon are covered in vines, but what do they look like underneath we may wonder?
