Super informative! Thanks. As Schmincke is top of my list, am happy with your results from them.

BUBBLES! That's why no shaking. You can roll it back and forth on side to get rid of the bubbles. Thanks for the comparison. My favorite paper rips from fluid or tape.

I just purchased Paul Rubens masking fluid and I can say that I loved it. It has a more fluid consistency, it has a bad smell but I loved it because it is removed very easily without leaving residue and does not stain... Hello Daniel Smith M. F. Oh... and I forgot the price, very cheap.

To me, the true test is using these again after a period of time. Mine alaways tend to clog up and I have a terrible time getting them to work correctly again😢

Have you ever tried using a ruling pen to apply masking fluid? With the very liquid/flowing ones I have found it can be very good for precision work, as long as you keep the tip clean and free of dried fluid that can clog it up. I watched the short version of this video and found it very helpful--thank you! I was struggling with the very bubbly daniel smith, and the paper-destroying Pebeo. I'll try some of these others you've tested. Thanks for saving us the trouble. ;-)

Thank you for a great suggestion. I have tried a ruling pen and it works well for details, as long as the masking fluid is a very fluid one. I just received a new one made by Qor, I have yet to test it...

Hi. Do you have any suggestions for removal of Molotow from 300 lb rough water color paper? It came off in tests, but not on my final piece :{

Crepe Rubber Cement Pickup is the best for removing masking fluid! Usually comes in square shapes, very cheap, and effective. I find that masking fluid is harder to take off the longer it sits on the page after drying. If you're painting for a long time that's probably why:)

Paul Rubens masking fluid comes with a type of latex eraser that helps to easily remove the fluid “without damaging” the paper. I was very disappointed with Daniel Smith's fluid.
