So glad you're enjoying the yoga wheel. 4 times is a great start, I recommend mixing up your weekly routine to target not only back flexibility but to build that strong internal belt, the core! together it will really help with back pain and back flexibility and really help you progress in opening the chest and shoulders :)

So happy you enjoyed this class. If it feels good to use the wheel in the morning then I don’t see any problem using it 😊 I personally warm up and do some gentle stretches before using the wheel.

Yes! This is a great technique to help balance out posture especially forward head posture. Should be done consistently and I highly recommend some core strengthening routines as well. That will help you maintain good posture and a nice neutral spine. ❤️❤️

Hey, I just got my Yoga wheel but it's very rigid and hard. I am quite scared tl use it and bend my back on it, I don't want to injure myself. Is it normal to be this hard? I can't imagine leaning on it with my whole bodyweight

Aloha Vali! The wheel will have a sort of firm feel to it however There should be a padding over it almost like a yoga mat sponge material that is kinda firm. Depending on the quality of wheel it may feel harder or more padded. If there’s padding (which should be) and you find it extremely painful to place your body weight over the wheel this can indicate that you’re simply just extra tight in the back muscles and or lack the flexibility within the spine. Which is completely normal. We aren’t born to be able to be in a wheel shape haha so we just need to take our time with laying on the wheel. Often times also, the back muscles may have what is known as “knots” and may radiate a sharp or really intense sensation which again is completely normal, the wheel is a great form of self myofascial release which helps release that connective tissue over the muscles so at first you may feel that intense sensation, go slow if so, so instead of laying completely over the wheel you can just sit in front of it and lean back to allow the pressure of your body to release a bit of that fascia. In time as the muscles become less tense from leaning back you can start to add a bit more weight by rolling further back on the wheel. If muscle isn’t the issue and it’s mainly just your spine that hurts I recommend again going very slow to introduce a very small amount of extension within the spine. So to do this again your sit in front of the wheel (back towards the wheel) and very gently lean back. Stay and just breathe for a minute or two, nice deep breaths. In time you can take it deeper. And if non of this is an issue and you’re just nervous to lay over it no worries it’s completely safe to use just take your time to get familiar with the wheel. And if any injuries are present I highly suggest contacting your dr to make sure this activity/movement is safe for your particular injury. Hope this helps ❤️❤️

Could be various things like the fluid surrounding the joints or you may need an adjustment. Sometimes tension may play a roll too, sometimes we just gotta bring a bit more movement and encourage that synovial Fluid 🙌 however I definitely recommend a chiropractic adjustment or at least an assessment that could tell you what the popping is stemming from.
