Due to the lack of a fully functioning right hand, but an intense love of rhythm games, I've made my way quite far [and am still improving] with WASD. The confidence boost of knowing Ninjamuffin not only plays with WASD/Arrow keys, and also designed the entirety of fnf around that initially does kinda help a lot, too.
For WASD: It isn't a mistake, is just a keybind and what we like to use. So we aren't making a mistake just because using they keybinds we like to use.
Though you may like it, it really does limit your abilities. It will really help you to switch to a 2 hand keybind. It'll take some time getting used to, but you'll see the difference in faster songs
Ill add onto 5:12 (forgetting to hide spectators) fiddle with underscroll transparency! Not only does this help you with pesky people jumping infront of your arrows, it also makes the arrows easier to see and help you get better at the game! Middle scroll is recommended too but ofc all this is optional play how you like 😊
@@TheReal716 no by underscroll i mean the name of the setting, i personally use upscroll 💀 anyway its a setting that puts a black box so you can see ur arrows better
I haven't bothered to use new keybinds. I tried new ones other than arrow keys, it's actually harder for me. I just stick with arrow keys, and I use W and A with arrow keys on songs that have parts where you have to press all four arrows, or on spam songs
My recommended tips for this game are to reduce Overlay Transparency (mainly to the bottom 0) and disable Camera Movement. These can help you focus on the game much better, whatever are distractions from the players or even the camera.
Hey jack, I am a mobile player and I don’t really just use downscroll because I wouldn’t be able to see the notes and I would heavily recommend use middlescroll with downscroll or not because it will help ur matches alot
0:30 Yeah it passed to me xd When i changed the keyblinds i put with one hand the left, up and right keys (for left, up and right arrow) of the laptop and the other hand i use the S key (for down arrow). My keyblinds are wasd and the arrow keys (i use the w, a and d key for up, left and right, and i use it for a trick of mini jacks or jacks (like w + up key for a jack of the up arrow) and thank of this trick i have 2 misses on last drop of the old ballistic)
The funny thing is, I never made any of these mistakes, when I first started playing funky friday I spent my first day playing in my vip server trying to get good, nowadays I like to play in my vip server sometimes and try to get fcs/pbs
A lot of funky Friday players don't focus on accuracy that much which is a pretty bad habit, the timing to get sicks is very lenient to other rythym games, games like etterna, osu mania, step mania scoring system mostly depends on your accuracy and the timings are much more strict
1: I’ve never played on a pc! 2: I started playing with tiles after one round of buttons and watching a few videos xD 3: I kept it at the regular then started messing around with settings once I found out about them and got better! 4: I changed this at the time I was messing with my settings 5: I fixed my lag by changing the quality! 6: I’ve never done this one 7: I used to spam, not anymore though p 8: I turned spectators off when I was messing with settings 9: I put in all the codes when I found out about them then have been putting them in as they released ever since 10: I always try to find someone who will be challenging to beat!
My vip server tactic worked but not efficiently so thx for that and the arrow speed and lag were also problems, thanks lad (pain is like me challenging people at top of the server like an idiot being almost bottom)
Another tip for mobile! If jack’s are making you miss a lot, try tapping with 2 fingers at the same time! I got 23 misses on ballistic with this! I’d recommend doing this on the least misses gamemode, as it doesn’t increase your score as much when you do it :(
I would say I made one of these mistakes, as I use arrow keys only, but I am better with them instead of 2 hand keybinds. Also you cant have a gamer snack because both your fingers are on the keyboard
Okay, ill point out some tips that captainjackattack didnt say. 1 : dont be scared to challenge high wins players the reason they have high wins is cause they played alot or never touched grass 2 : change your arrow color changing arrow colors are really useful. Especially it makes it easier to read with better arrow colors 3 : Arrow style for me i mostly use circles, arrow styles make it easier to hit notes (unless your on bar arrow lmao)
if inpostor v3 is coming then turn off info bar, turn on middle scroll, turn off opponent arrows in middlescroll or whatever, and hide map or some other stuff for the defeat background aesthetic idk
This is going to be my opinion but one the playing without info bar, it doesn't change anything, it really just shows how good you're doing. Doesn't change anything just gives the pro looks.

adding on to the last tip: no similarly skilled players? no problem! just set goals for yourself and reach those goals then set more goals and reach those works well, and no pressure, or pvp needed!
Fun fact: My lil' brother always stress because of the misses on the info bar, so the only thing that I have to do is disable them, and it helped. Another fun fact: I did play on VIP server because 1. It so laggy on my phone, I tried everything, didn't work. 2. I really want to be alone, so I don't want to play with other players accept my friend and bros.

I play with mobile buttons. I tried other fnf roblox games with only tiles option, and I simply can't play that way. I am used to one hand control, and I can only use it since I have to hold my phone with the other hand. I am a semi-pro when playing like this. For me, mobile tiles are a big impediment in my gameplay style. And, when it comes to spammy songs, we need to play easier difficulties to avoid spamming that much. The problem: most players besides noobs think hard=good and hate playing easy or normal. I actually really like playing them. And I redeemed all the codes (and got Sans animation with the points), but I always check voting, and new polls didn't show up in the past 1000 years
well if you wanna use it my binds are Q, W, Left Bracket, Right Bracket its good for gameplay for my opinion well i use to play D,F,J,K and A,S,K,L but "D,F,J,K" is not my type yet its the default key in kade engine 1.4.1 so yea. Thanks for reading.
I'm basically just a little better with dfjk and arrow keys since my fingers are small enough for me to use to hands on the arrow keys and most of the older mods dont have keybinds
1:38 i done that mistake but someone told it was good to change arrow speeds and stuff and i tried changing it, it actually worked and im not doing that mistake ever again

Nowadays if you go to the default roblox setting if your graphics quality is 5 bars or lower, your drawing distance will get shorter so much that you can see a default background that is out of bounds, i don't mind the lowered resolution, but the draw distance being lowered so much that you can see out of bounds, i don't accept that & rather play a different roblox game that doesn't need default graphics settings to be 5 or lower
I actually play with WASD but, with my right hand i control "right down up" on the arrow pad and my left it only needs to press one button which is "A"
I'm gonna be honest here, I'm not really a fan of the DFJK keybinds, I'm more comfortable with my own custom keybinds that rarely anyone uses since it's very spread out (SFJL) somehow very fitting for me since my hands are too big lol
The reason why i dont go to public servers: 1. Cause i think its gonna cause lag even though i have details disabled and also cause im on a old ipad 2. It kinda freezes when im 1v1ing someone 3. Thats it
0:33 I got uncomfortable with the arrow keys so I changed my keybinds to SDJK when i started playing Funky Friday back in March. I used to play Basically FnF with arrow keys and they are hard. That’s why I switched to using SDJK as my keybinds
When i was a new player, my scroll speed was 0.75 (jeez thats a bit slow) cause i wasn't ready for fast songs yet. I also didnt have info bar on and I never really tried to hit the notes (sometimes i even spam)
For the VIP server, I really can only do it because I'm really laggy and I use mobile. Even if I 1v1 in a private server, I still lag and my notes don't register. That's why I always have to solo even in public, or else I'm doomed. I'm not new but idk if this makes me a noob ;v; (I don't have a computer.)
i actually use the default keybinds for the simple reason so that if there is note spam for example agoti insane i can use both hands for spamming either left or right instead of just one
What my problem is that I've been using arrow keys for a long time n I'm very used to them now. I've tried changing it but it's RLLY hard to play with new keybinds after you've become an average player w them.
I remember getting the parents animation that cost 1100 by playing solo- (i still play on public servers i just play on my private server to try out some songs)
I still do arrow keys. They fit me. Speed is 2.1 Up scroll on Info bar No lag Grind in public I used to spam but after some years I take timing I still have spectators on and I can just turn transparency on. I checked out pills Most of the time I play with easy people and most of the time I try to have a challenge
I made the mistake of never changing the scroll speed but when I did I became much more better at the game But this video is good for new player who doesn't know much about the game
You know, If you wanted to know about this, I do use the regular arrow keys because I will Confuse myself with something like ZX,. and it's just confusing... One day.
fact about me: when starting rhythm gaming by playing fnf i used arrow keys and was bad at the first time. but over weeks i improved. A LOT. i was actually improving alot but i switched to as up right to zxcv to zx bn to zxnm to qwop to askl which is where i am currently
