My husband and I definitely drained our savings when we bought our house. Leave a few grand to the side. The day we moved in, we forgot BLINDS. (It's almost wall to wall windows downstairs.) We cleared out a few stores that night. smh Great tips, Jackie!
You can't renegotiate the house selling price once you buy it. And, if it is overvalued, you are stuck with a loss in equity. The rate can be renegotiated some time down the line.
thank you for making this video. i appreciate you for being real and for not making those of us who are on our way to purchasing right now feel foolish. i have been working on everything you mentioned for the past couple years to make sure everything is in order and now that i am here, i cannot allow fear to hold me back. i have to remind myself that renting is 100% interest and that i can and WILL be able to do it.
Such excellent tips Jackie!! Thank you for pointing them out. It's hard to know what to believe, especially when every region around the country is facing different real-estate scenarios. As they say, one size does not fit all.

great video! but we did mistake of draining our savings to buy our first home, we bought our furniture on credit and in my opinion, it wasnt a mistake! i'll do it again lol
