For us GenX guys - Linda Cardellini is literally exactly why we took our kids to see Scooby Doo Monsters unleashed. Since Freaks and Geeks, she has always been a favorite of mine.
Yeah, you can see where the colors come together on the seams but the Pixar ball doesn’t have those seams at all. Those are definitely not the Pixar balls in the scene from Aladdin.
Oh. Well, clothes mean freedom for elves. (Goes back to The Elves and the Shoemaker, i guess?) So it works that the free elf's line is a fashion line. Clothes are fitting, might say.
I can't help but think this has everything to do with their wrestling channel getting slammed with comments when it's shown that Micheal Sydgwick wrote the piece. They started doing it there because they don't want the writers criticized. Then they decided to do it for every channel.
I just noticed the Nicholas Brothers' Stormy Weather jumping splits dance for Aladdin (Al and Genie jumping over each other down stairs). Can't believe I didn't catch that back in '19.
Aladdin: That's not the pixar ball. Not even sure how leaped to that reference. Those have at least 3 stripes of color: Blue Yellow and Red. No star. That's a bit of a stretch to link it to Pixar.
How can one miss the Shaggy one? It's the entire joke. In the front of the action. Shot and acted SPECIFICALLY to be seen and laughed at. It's not hidden. I'm sorry, but if you missed it, you might need to evaluate your ability to comprehend a movie. Or even need to check a doctor to see if your eyes work properly.
I got one for you. In the GI Joe movie; Snake Eyes, at one point the titular character is dressed Exactly the same as Nicolas Cage, from the other movie; Snake Eyes. Only found it cause I was searching for the latter, and instantly recognized it on the former.
When I was a kid in Poland I thought it's "one Nigh-k", "two nigh-key" as the short i sound at the end of a word is how we form plurals here. I was actually quite shocked when I found out it's supposed to be "nigh-key" all the way. Been explaining it to people ever since :P
That's twice in a row I've closed the video half-way through because of the 'Thanks for watching' spiel only realising I was halfway through when it popped back up on my homepage... my advise is stop it because I've probably done it loads more than the twice I've realised.
Across the Panderverse is more like it. Afro Puff Spider-Girl is where I turned it off. I bent the disc in half and returned it to the library. Now Im not allowed to rent movies there unless I pay for it. Luckily, there is another library.
Another missed moment from the live action Aladdin film is that when Will Smith's genie is doing splits during the climax of the song, "Friend Like Me," he's playing tribute to the classic dance sequence from the film "Stormy Weather" by the iconic Nicholas Brothers!
Only watched the first one so far but that is totally not the pixar ball, the pixar ball has a blue stripe, the balls the elephants are on appear to be half yellow half blue...
I was wondering about this, but maybe they call them that in the UK? We call them that in Mexico. And, to be fair, it sounds like a better way to pronounce it. Like Mike Nike. But idk😅
