A little list of some more terms that I think all beginner skaters should know. Some of these are pretty self explanatory but I do see comments here and there which have asked about each one of these so I thought it would be pertinent to go over them.

I have been skating for over 16 years. Mongo pushing is not as good but I do it sometimes when my knee gets sore from pushing to get somewhere. Usually uphill.

Thanks, just one thing to add: In freestyle (and I'd say elsewhere, too) Caspers are only considered correct if your feet don't touch the ground at any point.

You whip your shoulders and push with your toes on the back preferably have them hanging off lifter wheels in the front and you will whip around

I started off skating pushing mongo with my right foot being the back foot and then I switched to goofy bc it was more comfy than regular so now I’m more comfortable with nollie tricks

Primo is suppose to be exclusively used for slides, and rail stands for stationary tricks. It's pretty accepted to say primo, because almost nobody knows the difference

The primo stance is always on the wheels / trucks area. Rail stand is literally on the rail and/or over the wheels. At least I do think there's a slight difference.

Any tips? I can do ollie on grass and pop shuvit but I can't do those tricks on road I think its about my confidense but I dont know how to build my confidense.

Just fuckin send it. Remember falling is a part of skating. Could you expect a baby to learn how to walk without it falling first? No you can’t, so just know that you are probably going to fall and that’s ok. Honestly imo falling off a skateboard doesn’t hurt that bad especially if you know how to fall(tuck and roll). Also just think about how much you want to be able to do these things and how much it will improve your skating and help you a lot doing other tricks. Commit to them. Just so no one comes for me I’m a beginner too I only know how to ride, Ollie, shove it, boneless and no comply so I am not a pro or anything but thinking of those things I explained up there when I’m doing things on pavement has really helped me gain confidence in doing the tricks. you could try holding onto something like a railing, thats how i learned how to ollie higher and kickflip higher, but from my experience, i've never actually seriously hurt myself on any trick, ever, and i've been skating for around 4 years now. Yeah, you're gonna fall at some point, everyone does. But you'll just end up walking off or sit down for a minute and then get back up and you're fine. The real killers are cracks/pebbles. Those fuckers have broken my arm like 3-4 times Never learn a trick stationary, or on grass. because once you want to do it moving on pavement, you'll have to relearn it completely

Do a few tries while your scared of falling then build a crap. Ton of clurage and confidence and go all out ollie as if you wont fall as if you have 9 lives give it your all and after landing your first ollie your confidence naturally goes up

i don't mall grab on my street deck but on my pool board i mall grab bc the hosoi hammer head has no nose at all and its uncomfortable to hold to my side bc 1 its heavy as hit and 2 its real big so it hurts holding it for a while

board/ lip slide. when u pop the back of your board away from the rail is a boardslide, and vice versa for lip. pls correct me if i'm wrong

can someone help me. ive been skating for a year but ive never been able to build up the confidence to Ollie on Pavement. im able to do it on the grass but when i attempt to do it on the pavement i feel like im gonna slip out when i pop

your building it up too much in your head, if you can do it in grass there is no reason you would slip out, i dont know how you slip out of an ollie and if you do its not going to be as bad as you think, the worse that happens is you miss your pop and its embarassing

8 inch wide is usually pretty standard- when less than 8 the board becomes more easy to flip, a board over 8 is easier to land. thunder with the hollow axels are good trucks, ask them for the lightest trucks or if you'r trendy you ride indys

Its primo only in primo slides. Quick explanation : It was called railstand before there were primoslides. When freestyle skater Primo Desiderio invented a railstand slide he named it primoslide. But a stationary primoslide remains railstand and not "primo" 👍

Just an addendum: You actually are popping into "remo" not "primo" in those clips. Remo is pulling your board inward so you will have the board (rail) under your heels and the wheels at the balls of your feet. Primo is the opposite and personally for me easier to pop into. You popped into remo with ease 👍

backside boardslides are like front boards except ur popping over the rail their scary as shit lol learn front boards nice then learn back lips and start on a low rail or a curb but u gonna prolly wanna learn backside 5050s on a ledge which is alot weirder than front 50 50s practice
