Ok... point 1. why do you insist hybrid lists are bad and you have to spam all of one thing or another? Its really wierd advise. The super major this weekend the winner used vehicles and infantry. So did the dude in second. The dude in third was nids but alos had a mix of monsters and infantry......you get to 4th and you finally see a sqew all infantry list... 5th... hybrid...... spamming "all vehicles or all infantry or gtfo" is honestly the worst advise to give people.
Youre not quite getting it. This isn't skew. If you look at the top lists they are hybrid but not for combat. Mixing defense profile can only hurt you. My infantry marines for example have a dark shroud. The dark shroud never fights and plays cat and mouse with anti tank weapons You cannot possibly be saying that people win a super major with no idea what they should be going for???? They know to be going g for anti infantry or anti tank. You don't win a super major having to kill both lol But please I'm all ears what advantage doesn't having all these different defense profiles give you??? Why are you trying to make your opponents army more effective?
It's really funny-not-funny that you mention hygiene in point #9... I've actually stopped going to certain tournaments because I couldn't stand running into those 1-3 guys who really just should have showered and used deodorant. When people don't even take care of themselves, I feel like they sure aren't going to care about their opponent or fellow players...
Sometimes they just blame the nurgle player too -_- I keep a can of axe body spray in my bag for such occasions and will dowse someone in it for the sake of the rest of the game room. If they don't get the hint next time I aim for their eyes. ( Don't do this if they are twice your size) =p
@WarAcademy True.... though I think I'll stick to casual games with a mixed army instead of min-maxing, at least until I build up the collection for that xD
Thank you, that means alot 😊 I'm struggling to get the view counts up. The fact that someone is enjoying it is a great motivator to make another video. Anything in particular you'd like a deep dive on? Or a part of the game you want to improve upon?
@@WarAcademy How about how to counter a shooting army with a melee army and vice verse. Is balanced list building the best or play with your army’s strengths.
Hi, sorry to interrupt. Just want to share the compliments to the channel. I’m a noob and just started playing a couple of months ago and just recently discovered your videos and found them extremely helpful. Especillay your list building guide. I have one question about optimal amount of vehicles though. I play sisters which are very squishy. What heuristics do you follow there? for example what is the opportunity cost of including more repentia units versus the amount of rhinos?

First game as world eaters recently and i gotta say the whole infantry or vehicle thing makes sense but for WE that basically means "all melee or a ineffective mix" most WE lists i see are mostly melee infantry with like 1 rhino and something lending firesupport like a brigand
I suck at deployment and list building. Thanks for the eye opener! Time for me to look at what DA list are good to see how they work compared to my crap.
Glad I could help. IMO dark angels best units are Talonmasters Ezekial Bladeguard Attack bikes 2 man deathwing command sqauds Eradicators I usually take 2 to 3 of each of those units. Makes for a pretty well rounded, take all comers style list. Redemptors, devaststors, azreal, 10 attack interrogator chaplain, obsec bikes, terminator bricks, redemptor dread are all filler units that tend to do well
I've been playing against Eldar, I just started and I run Blood angels. Dude actually taught me it of the same shit and now I only use to the Eldar. Yes I use our detachment
Right on! this was my first video I ever made. id like to think ive gotten better since then haha. You can get alot of extra tips and tricks by stopping in at the War Academy which can be found at discord.gg/jmw6SeHZmP
ive won every tournament ive entered over the years. Ive earned champion status at each FLG in my area, and won several tabletop sim events. Once the lockdown is over ill be attending quite a few GTs. I have been coaching competitive for years now, this video is a compilation of the 10 things i have to yell at my padawans the most for lol. an in depth deployment video will be out on friday.
There were a number of good nuggets in there, thanks for making the video. It's obvious you care about coaching and improving people, but at times your tone comes across as pretty elitist in this video which could turn people off. I look forward to seeing your next video and seeing what topics you present!
i appreciate the feedback, i wasnt trying to come off that way, but i do hear it too haha. i will try to tone it down for the next video. i do alot of coaching on the side and was just spitfireing off the most common things i have to yell at people for lol
"Don't blame your loss on the dice, it just looks bad." *Loses all 10 terminators to a single squad of guardsmen firing las guns.* *Returns fire, highest dice result is a 3 from the whole army.* So... Do I blame witch craft?
i mean that i force my opponent into combats he cant win, or I use specific units specifically to prevent his plan from working. i manipulate his units. its hard to do, i can only do it so well because i own almost every faction. If you force a unit of terminators to charge cultists, i dont think the chaos player is being a bad sport. Sorry i should have worded that section a little bit more in depth. I will elaborate more next time. Thanks for pointing it out =)
