I think it was Chavo who stated that, after the fight between Eddie and Kurt, Chavo asked Eddie what possessed him into thinking he could out wrestle an Olympic gold medalist was a good idea. Eddie said “Because I’m a fucking idiot!”
Man with the Punk/Steel and the Elite fight, I don’t think there’s been a biggest fight with high profile members of the roster since maybe Hart and Michaels.
@@Typeinusername89 I'm fairly certain that when they say "biggest" they don't mean "most malicious" or "most brutal". Which seems to be what you're focusing on.
Mick Foley legit messed him up too, it should be on YT. Although technically a "sucker punch" you gotta be a next level PoS to have a sweetheart like Kong and the universally regarded nicest man in wrestling *both* belting you.
Good video, but there are a couple of big ones missing. Firstly, Sid Vicious, Arn Anderson and some scissoring that would be too much even for The Acclaimed. Secondly, Joey Styles knocking JBL out because it’s hilarious.
In fairness, neither should make the list because of the fact that by "backstage" it means, y'know- backstage. Sid and Arn is certainly an infamous off-air fight but it wasn't backstage and happened in a hotel. Likewise, Styles cracking JBL was done in an airport.
Joey Style vs JBL immediately pre video was the one I thought would likely be missed, but are we not forgetting that small hidden gem called Curt Henning vs Brock Lesnar on the relatively unknown “plane ride from hell”?
I tend to watch these in the background but I've just watched this video in full. I had no idea so much effort was put into the editing! For a top 10 video there's a lot going on here, so many layers and moving stills, amazing work!
Every account that I have heard said that DDP actually got the best of steiner. But DDP admitting that if the fight kept going Steiner was going to hurt him bad.
Imagine if everyone made comments like this about WWE. We would still be going through the 2000's stuff (remember Randy Orton trying to sleep with an 18-year-old?), and there's been plenty of recent shit that would have kept us going throughout the lockdown (until Triple H took over and proceeded to do everything the IWC said WWE should do).
@@Thereeldabibi Eh, I acknowledge that AEW's done some bad stuff in their time, which is more than can be said for the WWE fanboys. PS Sorry for taking this long to reply, WWE has slipped my mind. Has there been any major shows that have happened since?
12:45 Can you be more biased? lol Dynamite kid came in a room while Rougeau while playing card and jumped him out of nowhere. I know you're british, just like the dynamite kid, and want to make him look like a tough guy but come on dude...
The Bucks would break their legs kicking Nash’s bad quads. Nash would laugh and say “Nut up motherfuckers, hurting your legs kicking MY quads (sips wine)?!? Lift a weight. Have a drink and put some hair on your balls (sips wine). Fucking balding 5th graders guy, what the fuck happened to this business!” (sips wine) Hall would just spit the toothpick in their faces, then slap their souls out of their bodies and then do spooky fingers at their ghosts
Regarding the Flair/Bischoff thing I feel like if Bischoff had wanted to, he probably could have knocked Flair out. Bischoff is a legit Karateka, or at least was during the 90s.
What’s funny to me about the AEW fight, is that they have had, and still do, so many angles about people fighting and getting jumped backstage. And all that comes out of it is that those people have a match the next week. So, it would be a huge miss, if they don’t turn this into an angle.
Thank you so much, for making the video in sections, so I'm able to completely skip whatever the hell your trying to sell, and straight to the parts of this video I actually care to watch.
I love Punk and always defended him... but the fact that he had so many issues in AEW too really concerned me. I always blamed WWE for the issues but Punk causes problems wherever he goes. Amazing, incredible talent... one of the best ever. But he would have had a better reputation if he acted better back stage.
I always like watching these videos. However they are so repetitive. The same fights being said. There’s probably close to 100+ fights backstage that have been reported. Please try to get fights that we haven’t heard of
respect to Jericho that he was able to handle a much bigger and supposedly stronger Opponent as Goldberg even if it was for a short Time. not everyone would be that brave as Jericho. but i mean we are talking about the same Man who also stood up to Brock "Beast" Lesnar. even though he admitted that he was both Time fearing for his Life. but despite that still being to stand up to both Men really deserves Respect.
Dude has balls of steel. But nothing will be as impressive as getting in Brock’s face and not backing down, fully knowing you’re gonna get your ass handed to you if Brock wants to but accepting it because you’re not gonna take the dudes shit.
Unless there is video evidence or overwhelming more witnesses for ddp I'll not believe a 44 year old hs basketball player beat a jacked asf 38 year old ncaa d1 wrestler unless he jumped him
I have to wonder what Eric would have done if Vince had actually showed up at that pay-per-view. Probably went and hid in the men's room. The whole thing with Punk and The Elite actually makes me sad. I really thought Punk had turned a corner but I guess some people really don't change.
@@TheBirdman25fya dude you've never beat up a Karate black belt before they can't fight you ain't learn that from the UFC already they have to mix their s*** with practicality so if a guy like me or'maybe you knows how to wrestle and box you beat the s*** out of them my God this is not 1985 don't buy the hype brother
Before I even watch this list, let me guess it’s Chris Jericho & Goldberg, DDP & Scott, Booker T & Batista, Anything involving JBL, & Bucks & Cm Punk just to name a few lol. These lists are so repetitive & predictable, these wrestling channels really back themselves into a corner with these “lists” every week, there’s only so much content you can give.
There was so much hope for Punk. Maybe Ryback and Dr. Aman weren't the problem. Maybe it was just Punk. After all he went in Colt Cabana's podcast after he left WWE and then sues him almost 10 years later.
The bret v Vince fight should definitely be on the list but Brock Lesnar and Mr Perfect were play fighting they weren't actually fighting that's been proven discussed talked about by everybody involved including Brock Lesnar
Cm punk is better then Kenny Omega You know whats funnier than your lame Punk UFC fight at the end. The AEW ratings, its half empty arenas and that Kenny Omega and bucks cant draw half of what punk did
Punk has proven that he actually knows what he's doing, and the AEW lockeroom (who don't know what they are doing) don't like someone coming in and telling them what to do
I hate Goldberg so much. He was brought in as a Stone Cold copy. He couldn't wrestle, ie Stephen Reagle match. I think GoldDust (a legend) should be over a football player to stupid to learn a few moves. I'm with Brett, take this clown out of the HOF.
@@jimbo_1312 he can “stay around”…but his body has proven that his days as a wrestler are numbered or just over…maybe he can go be an indie movie icon…or garbage man, whatever, the guy is toxic, maybe he and Howard Stern can collaborate, because that’s about where Punk is now. He’s basically a Kardashian…”famous for being shitty.”
just once. just once I'd like to hear a list from this channel or basically any other that does not involve Bret Hart. Someday he will be forgotten. I just need to keep telling myself that.
I know you're going to die no one will remember you existed but this comment will live on in infamy as millions and millions of Bret Hart fans rejoice and enjoy his matches for years to come as the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be excellently executes your ass
