Not military but IIRC - Coast Guard went through changes post 9/11. Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force are under the US Department of Defense. The Coast Guard is under the department of homeland security, but still considered a branch of the US armed forces. The Coast Guard is both a federal law enforcement agency and a military force.
When you wanna be racist and jealous, but you gotta deliver the dialogues in the form of sarcasm and feel superior. That’s their script when it comes to India.

France and Belgium perform a Military parade on their Independence Day every year which they also include civilian emergency units and law enforcement.
A paramilitary force is a group or organization that operates with military-like discipline and training, but is not part of a country's official armed forces. They may be used for internal security, counter-terrorism, or other specialized tasks. Examples of paramilitary forces include police special forces, border patrol units, and government-backed militias. In case of India:- NSG (National Security Guard) (Best commandos of India) MARCOS (Marine Commandos) RAF (Rapid Action Force) NIA (National Investigation Agency) ITBP (Indo Tibetian Border Police) CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) BSF (Border Security Force) SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) AR (Assam Rifles) CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) (Similar to CRPF but trained with more advanced weapons) RPF (Railway Protection Force) NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) NCC (National Cadet Corps) (For School Students above 16 years of age, they know trekking and basic military weapon handling like pistol) NSS (National Service scheme) (same as NCC) These are the major Paramilitary forces that India has and everyone come under the govt there is no Private army here Also, these are the ones which are used as backup if the active military is Suffering (the problem here is everyone here is trained at different level like the NSG and Marcos are commando level and police level you all know they mostly use Automated rifles and pistols while NCC and NSS are student wings so they are trained with most basic weapons) The common thing is they all are discipline and know what military is so they can be used in an active war :)
@@mrtrampoline3735 im pretty sure its directly under the Navy, just like PARA SF of the army and Garuds of the Airforce. Unless u have some other source?
@@marcd5196it is under the navy but can also receive its order from the home ministry So yeah the guy above is correct... It's kind of semi navy stuff
The US Coast Guard has lots of small boats to do rescue and patrol in coastal bays and just off the beach, buf not that many ocean-going cutters. I don’t know the exact numbers but they are always relatively under-funded because, as someone else mentioned, they aren’t part of the Defense Department. What I did read recently is they’ve ordered a couple of new ice breakers for patroling the Arctic and those are so far behind schedule they were considering buying a second hand ice breaker from some other country.
@C.S. Potter Right but how many medium and high endurance cutters capable of multiple day open ocean service and thus comparable to Navy vessels. I couldn't find the exact number--maybe you can--but it seemed to be around 30 which, for a country the size of the US and the thousands of miles of coastlines seemed small to me.
That wasn't Putin, Dave. It was Progozhin from Wagner; "freedom" after 6 months of service. (The Saudis buy stuff, but barely know how to use the stuff.)
As an American I can confidently say that one of our deadliest weapons is our McDonalds restaurant chains that we export all over the world. Need a heart attack? We'll cover it 😊
A paramilitary is an organization whose structure, tactics, training, subculture, and function are similar to those of a professional military, but is generally not part of a country's official or legitimate armed forces.

Interesting conversation, growing up with the largest Coast Guard base in America ( Kodiak Alaska). These people have rescued countless...including me and they can defend.
It's not the Russian military itself that is recruiting soldiers from prison, but the Wagner group that is recruiting prisoners to fight. It was Prighozin, the leader of Wagner group that can be seen in a video giving a speech to prisoners.
@@jyu467 The USA and UK took Baghdad in like 4 days. It took Russia what a few hours to have lost more men in Ukraine than the entire allied coalition forces during the entire wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ukraine's military hardware that is stopping Russia is from NATO countries. That means everything to this conversation. Russia has no answer to western technology except firing missiles at civilian train stations 1000 miles behind the front. Comparing Russia and NATO forces is apples and oranges. During this war Russia has demonstrated her armed forces are vastly inferior to the West and the Far East. Russia presents itself like a superpower but has to buy second tier drones and missiles from Iran. That demonstrates a manufacturing weakness that can not be overcome by a little trade with Iran.
@@jyu467 Two completely different types of war. The U.S was built to win wars exactly like the one Ukraine is fighting. They're lucky Russia is still fighting like it's ww2.
@@kevinsierra482 For china to be number 2 you don’t need to compare it to the west, you need to compare it to Russia, in which case the tech is close enough. For experience it depends on what type of experience which in turn depends on what type of conflict breaks out. If it’s a short 1-4 year war over small to medium sized territory, then NATO experience in those types of wars will allow them to win.

@@kevinsierra482 China has several hundred years of experience getting their asses whooped by smaller nations 😅because every time war breaks out the nation splits into an internal power struggle. they are so oppressed and divided that if major war broke out with them right now, they would crumble faster than Russia. They are also not a warrior people at the most basic levels. Everything is an art more than functional. Comparing China to Japan for instance. Japan as a much smaller nation ran thru China easily in war situations. On a smaller scale, there very few if any Chinese people doing well in any sanctioned martial arts. Shaolin warrior monks are among their most respected fighters, and even the former monks and say that while full of discipline and dedication, Shaolin Kung Fu is an artform and not practical in a fight. Just speaking to their spirit to fight in general.

The one thing Id like to add is within the 50 States we have the National Guard also which falls under the State Governers office. Here in Arizona, the Arizona National guard is larger that quite a few Nations military. We have the Arizona Army National Guard and The Arizona Air National Guard. Now combine that with 49 other states, each specializing in a sector of Military service, it actually becomes larger than the American military. If you Google Arizona National Guard, it definitely gives you somewhat of a scope of what the National Guard is about. Coastal States include warships in their National Guard. I know the Arizona National has a huge Boeing Tanker Refueling and F16 fleet. Now the National guard can become part of the US Military fleet when called upon by the President. I remember I had a Tanker refuel pilot in one of my night classes who got called up during the Gulf war and had to drop out of his courses and deploy to a base somewhere out in the middle east. The Arizona National Tanker Guard was called upon and served as a Refueling Unit during war. Our Arizona F16 fleet is quite large as a stand alone Airforce also. And not forgetting actual military personal soldiers, most of whom are Reservists.

The Coast Guard is US military, plus they left out the National Guard, each state has what is called Natural Guard that can be called up to the military in America, there's Air National Guard, plus regular National Guard, it many handles natural disasters but as I said could be called to active duty.
Does anyone cares about it. It is because USA 🇺🇸 had been destroyed several country some by invading and others by creating conflicts in two countries for its own gain. So, it doesn't matter that how much clout USA 🇺🇸 kept in military. What matters is that how much world respect USA 🇺🇸 and I'm sure it's has nothing.
I think Dave is correct. Russia has 1 aircraft carrier and I think it caught fire recently and was deemed too old and in need of too much updating to be seaworthy or something like that.

South Korea would pancake the North if they ever tried to launch a nuke, and I do mean try as they've allegedly been doing a lot of joint research with the Israelis on missile defense.
Can't forget about all the unmanned submarines and unmanned surface vessels the US coast guard has. Also the US national guard & some individual states have their own state guard
Yeah Germany are no where near the top 10. Their military is a state. They were ranked as 25th mot powerful country in the world, to put that into perspective, France are 9th, Italy 10th, Australia 16th, Poland 20th, spain 21st.

I got to college with a guy on a golf scholarship who is from Russia. For ex, while talking about Pakistan's military, the second photo in the video is of indian military. You can easily see the difference in their combat uniforms. poor choice of video guys.
Daz is correct - the USA doesn't go for that ostentatious display of our military in huge parades. As close as we get to that is our tradition of planes flying over stadia during especially important tilts, timed perfectly with the National Anthem. Our traditions were sorely tested during Trump's term, as his fascist/populist bent drove him to agitate for a Red Square-like display in downtown DC. DC's streets were designed to protect the city from invasion, which is what the parade logistically was. Cooler heads convinced him that all the streets would be torn up, or something, We think a display of endless military equipment is gauche, and inconsistent with our self-perception - not as a warrior-nation, but as a peaceful but mighty defender of freedom and democracy. Teddy Roosevelt said, "Speak softly, and carry a big stick."

Paramilitary forces are second line of defence for the country anywhere can deploy to any insurgency under the country or external threat. They are active deployment with military or police
I don't think the national guard is included in US active duty or reserves in this videos numbers, as the Army, and Air National guard are different from the reserves. Like the Coast Guard, they are more dedicated to domestic and state defense, and the guard is under the jurisdiction, and activated by the Governors of the state they are located in. But, because they trained by the Department of Defense like active duty armed forces, and are issued standard issue military equipment, planes, armor, artillery, and boats (Texas has a Navy, somewhat) in time of war they would be folded into America's regular active duty, and reserve Army, Airforce, and Navy very quickly. This happened during both Gulf Wars. This video also didn't include retired, and discharged military personnel that could be recalled back to active duty or as support personnel.
to be fair the India China border conflict is over a border drawn by the British Empire without agreement from China. and British border drawing skills have a track record of causing problems. i suggest watching the 1962 Sino Indian War documentary by Timeline here on youtube if you are interested in actual background instead of hearsay.
The Tibetan Government agreed to that treaty held in Shimla and it's their land borders that were being discussed but the problem started when the CCP took control of Tibet
@@vickysingson3802 i didn't say Tibetan representatives did not agree, i said China was not present. a lot of things happened during the last days of Qing Dynasty and the warlord era. obviously when the dust settled, and the new government reunified their territories borders would become a problem. a border drawn by the British without consent of obvious interest of connected parties during a time of chaos in your own favor is predictably going to cause trouble. who is actually surprised by this? the borders drawn took Tibetan territory as part of India. even Tibetan leadership recognized this but they had no bargaining power. it is like taking something from a burning house, when the owners are busy putting out the fire. and when the fire is put out what happens next seems obvious, there would be a problem. you can get people to sign a lot of things under the barrel of a gun, but don't expect it to not be a problem later on.
To be fair it is not China's business where that border was drawn and China should fcuk off from Tibet. Or do you want our chad Haryanvi boys to escort you out of Tibet? We don't have conscripted ladyboys in our Army. Ask Qi Fabao how he feels after getting his skull bashed in.
@@death_parade but it was the British's business? if you could have escorted China out of Tibet you would have already done so. emotions obviously does not provide the strength, and in this case logic as well.
Are you surprised that you don't have military parades? What are you celebrating? What great victories have you won? We drove out Napoleon. We drove out Hitler. We left Afghanistan in formation with honor, and did not run like frightened girls. Afghans still remember the USSR with good words. We destroyed ISIS in Syria. How many unsuccessful attempts by the West to seize Russia? Fingers are not enough to count. And each time we drove out the enemy back to his home. We are proud of our army and pay tribute to it, as well as to all those who died for our country. Our parades are a tribute to the memory and honors of all our soldiers - those who are alive and those who have already passed away.
