I also think Billy's reveal in the original Scream deserves praise. He was so obviously the killer, then seemingly a red herring, then revealed. Still sticks with me to this day.
I remember watching it for the first time. I was so stoked how the final act was playing out that I stopped it shortly after the reveal to back up and watch it again. ❤
Another satisfying moment in Blade 2 is when Blade informed the vampires that he told the super reaper vampire their location and the alarms start to sound just seconds later.
Best vampire movie is Nosfearatu (1922). Then Fright Night and Let the Right One In. But if you're looking for scary vampire movies, maybe Salem's Lot will do the trick. None of them are scary to me, but the overall movie quality is what sells them to me. Your pick is also great, as it's an excellent comedy.
Greatest vampire movie ever, in my opinion? "Lost Boys" hands down. My first introduction to monstrous vampires and that's been my favorite take on vampires since.
Lots of great Vampire movies. Near Dark, Interview with a vampire, John Carpenters Vampires (criminally underrated), Dusk Till Dawn, 40 Days of night, Fright Night (original) and Bram Stoker’s Dracula to name a few but for me (and prob due to the time of my life I 1st watched it) my favourite is The Lost Boys
The Lost Boys is phenomenal, the cheesiness of the Frog Brothers & the ways they killed the vampires paired with how scary it is for our 2 brothers to have one turning into one is done so well. Plus Cry Little Sister is such a great theme song.
Another very iconic reveal to consider: When Leatherface comes out of nowhere & brains the young man, then slams the heavy door. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original).
In my humble opinion Near Dark is the best vampire movie EVER!!! Not to mention it’s the only vampire movie I know of that you never hear the word vampire in anywhere. Also Bill Paxton makes an amazing vampire. It’s a bit of a reunion of the cast from Aliens
Love love love this movie. But 30 days give it a run for its money. Great trivia on fact the word Vampire was never used. Another goody that came out the same year was Lost Boys. Great soundtrack too!
@@lesyeuxsansvisage1157 There's another vampire film called Daybreakers (2010) that should be on your vampire film watch list. Daybreakers is about a vampiric infliction basically turns everyone in the world into vampires, base their lives around the night and try to have normal lives, all while there's major corporations with monopolies on the blood market and controls the prices and stuff of blood, which leads to scientists try to create alternatives for blood. The poor vampires are forced to feed on themselves for blood which completely turns them into hideous wendigo type vampires.
I loved that movie, and I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought of it. I'd say "Let the Right One In" the original one would be high on the list too.
Power loader scene at the first part of Aliens wasn't unnecessary: Ripley wanted to show to the military boys that she belongs, can be useful and not to be trifled with, despite their prejudice of thinking she is just some soy corporate shill. I have not seen the movie in like 15 years but even i remember the reasoning behind the loader. That's why the movie is a masterpiece and this list is as garbage as usual.
Exactly; the quote from her is "I feel like kind of a fifth wheel around here, is there anything I can do?" She's listless, has no responsibilities until they get to their destination, and the scene shows she's willing to get her hands dirty. People who say scenes like that are "useless" have no idea how good filmmakers develop characters or use foreshadowing. If she'd just shown up at the end of the movie in the loader, with no prior scene establishing even the existence of the loaders, you'd have the same people going "well how convenient that THOSE things are there, and that Ripley KNOWS how to use them." I remember when this channel had writers that actually understood movie. Now it's all bait and begging for comments. And here we are, doing exactly what they want.
Does anyone proof read these. Hannibal didn't have a hidden key, he picked the lock. And Ripley didn't set off a bomb the atmospheric purifier exploded.
yep i was thinking the same thing of both movies, and Rhodes didnt just fall into the zombies hands straight away, bub shoots Rhodes a third time in which cause Rhodes to stop into the hands of the zombies, this guy needs to re-watch movies before making a video
Best Vamp movie. Nostalgia based has to be Lost Boys, Salems Lot (1979), Near Dark and Fright Night (1985) . They were my first vampire movies when I was of age to watch. Later on Bram Stokers hit me hard. Perfect blend of romance and horror. But for creepy, scary ...30 days of Night, Let the Right One In and Nosferatu.

Mindhunters (Movie 2004) with Christian Slater. Wonderful twist to unmask the Killer in the group of FBI trainees.. True mind games going on. Watch it please! I don't want to spoiler the Twist (don't do it either or mark it as Spoiler please - it's such a good movie!
I have to admit that I do agree with the statement that Scream movies are very quotable since I myself am constantly quoting Stu’s line from the first movie “I’ll be right back!”
The power loader scene in Aliens is still the most effective use of miniatures and close up live action that I've ever seen. Far exceeds any of the CGI stuff (lots of it garbage) put out now.
Too be fair, Sam and her friends and sister don’t have Sidney and Gale’s experience in dealing with ghost face killers to know a trap when they see one in Scream 5. That’s what made Dewey’s death ridiculous as well as depressing. He should have known better himself to go back after the killer alone

Heck Judy proven to be wise enough to try and call her son Wes to make sure Ghost Face didn’t really have him (Wes was just to busy taking a shower to notice his mom trying to call). And she only had one ghost face killers experience. Some of you may say once can be enough but don’t forget Sidney made rookie mistakes in the second movie that cost her friends lives despite that being her second Ghostface killers encounter
If anything Scream 5 showed how much Sidney and Gale improved as horror movie survivors. Heck Gale still showed it in scream 6 as she wasn’t alone when one of killers broke in and tied to kill her in her own apartment.
As far as roles go, Snipes, in my opinion, was perfect as blade. But as far as Vampire movies go, the top for me is Bram Stokers, Interview with, Underworld, and then Blade.
As much as I love Blade, I tend to think of it as a superhero movie that has vampires in it, rather than a vampire movie, if that makes sense. The vampires are secondary to the vampire adjacent but not actually a vampire hero. Blade managed to be hugely influential in BOTH genres though, and a lot of great movies wouldn't exist if not for him.
Satisfying in a different way than comeuppance, with a similarly memorable line: The Sixth Sense, "Grandma says hi." [Cut to Toni Collette acting her ass off.] "She says she's sorry for taking the bumblebee pendant. She just likes it a lot..." You spend the whole movie thinking that this remarkable child will forever be alone, unable to soothe his mother's frantic desperation and helplessness because he can't convince her of the truth without scaring her. In that moment, we understand that his "psychiatrist" won't be coming back and he's alone in the world of the living with an untellable secret. With that one line, you realize that he really will be all right. "I'm ready to tell you my secret now."
The fun story about the "choke on em" line, while filming day of the dead the freezers broke down, so the pig entrails that were stored in them started going bad, the guy who played captain rhodes wasnt allowed to wear any nose plugs, the reason for that line was because of how bad the smell was
My favorite memory about the final boss battle in Aliens was when that scene would pop up at the club in the 90s, then segue into an ABBA song. Absolute meltdown on the dance floor.
I love the Blade movies a lot. Number 2 with the reapers was probably my favourite of the set. The vampire movie that scared me the most was 30 Days Of Night, so it's really high on my favourites list. I would go so far as to say my absolute favourite. There's also the mini series of Stephen King's 'Salem's Lot with Rob Lowe. That was bone deep chilling and creepy and scared the heck out of me as well. As far as TV series go, Midnight Mass was probably one of the best shows ever. Stayed with me for a long time. And the current show "From". It disturbed me on such a deep level that I couldn't open my curtains at night for fear of one of those creatures smiling their creepy smile at me. And my apartment is on the 3rd floor, so you can imagine how deep my terror went for quite a while.
Such a fun-to-watch vampire movie is Van Helsing!! A mix of Dracula and his brides, werewolves, Frankenstein and his creation, and a scene with Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, it's such a fun, well-written and well-acted movie! LOVE introducing it to my friends!
Thirty Days of Night is an INCREDIBLE film! I first saw it from about ten minutes in, had no idea what it was, immediately overwhelmed by the super realistic tone, I was like, what the f is this, it's like it's really happening!
Scream 2022 was the most insulting reveal to fans of the franchise. 1) We knew it was the bf almost from the get go, so the reveal of him was no shock. 2) It's revealed that this 90lb little girl is the one who not only killed Dewy, but stabbed him to the point of lifting him off the ground after she herself had been shot several times while wearing a bullet proof vest. Like, wtf?😂 Completely turned me off to watching the one after or any others they should make.
Just want to say, Rose The Hat in Doctor Sleep was a GREAT villain! The way she acts so nice, calm and collected or to be revealed as a child hungry energy vampire is terrifying ❤️
Too many great vamp movies to choose just one, interview with the vampire, underworld movies, Dracula untold, 30 days of night, lost boys, priest (underrated in my opinion),and blade 1 and 2.
best vampire movie is the original fright night. BAR NONE!! It's a great campy movie that sells the power of a vampire. FOR FUCKS SAKE HE CAN SHAPESHIFT!!! (seriously, as a vampire fan I am driven insane by how rare that is now) and the effects are wonderful, plus I also love that a stake doesn't kill Jerry. But a good runner up is the COUNT dracula staring the legend himself Sir Christopher lee. Not to be mistaken for any of his inferior hammer dracula (he himself disliked them) count dracula was supervised by Lee to make sure it was more book accurate, including many small details like Dracula aging backwards, his ability to survive in the sun, even down to the silver lantern he holds when introducing himself at the start. You can see just how much he loved the role as he is bringing much more skill and talent than the hammer movies. But despite this it does go it's own way and feels more like a hammer movie than the real hammer movies.
Hannibal Lector was far more impactful to me than Ridley's fight against the Alien Queen. That having been said, Silence of the Lambs is a radically different genre from Aliens, and I would have to agree that the Ridley vs Queen fight is the best in Sci-Fi Cinema, with Ridley being the best example of a Strong Female Lead, without the need to tear down all Men in order to build her character up, the way all modern action-adventure movies with Strong Female Leads do. Tearing down and dehumanizing the Male characters doesn't make the Female characters appear as better or more powerful people. Instead, it alienates the Male audience and makes the Strong Female Lead seem petulant, shallow, and vindictive, and the blatant Misandry of such depictions causes further harm to all of Society by justifying the victimization of Men as some kind of twisted form of justice. Hollywood really needs to study how Sigourney Weaver's portrayal of Ripley created a relatable character that everyone could root for because she didn't have hatred towards all Men, instead she had justifiable hatred towards those that were responsible for doing truly awful things, not just treating her badly with her then retaliating in a vindictive fashion.
Additional inclusion: Saw!! For the jigsaw killer to be revealed as the thought-to-be-dead body in the room, listening in the ENTIRE time!! His chilling final "game over" as his bloody body slams the metal door closed??? MAGNIFICENT
That depends of what kind of vampire movie we're talking about; horror, comedy, or action. Horror either OG Salem's Lot or 30 days of night. Comedy is most definitely Mel Brooks, Dracula dead & loving it. Action is a toss up of either the first Blade or first From Dust till Dawn.
I think the best vampire movie depends entirely on your mood. Pure action? Blade and or Underworld. Action comedy? The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Comedy? Dracula: dead and loving it. Drama: Interview with the Vampire or Bram Stoker's Dracula depending on personal preference, with an honourable mention for Queen of the Damned for a great sound track and an interesting expansion on the lore, even if it wasn't remotely close to the book.
Greatest Vampire movie ever is the original "Nosferatu". Scared the you-know-what outta me. Of course, I was a kid. Probably shouldn't have been watching vampire movies at that age...
My absolute favorite vampire movie is definitely Interview with the Vampire, number two is Bram Stokers Dracula, third is Dracula 2000 which has one of the best twists to the story of Dracula in my opinion
I have a very harsh love-hate relationship with "they live" on one side it's a incredible great social commentsry horror movie starring one of my alltime favorite wrestlers the Hod Rod Rowdy Piper... but on the other hand it's one of the biggest reasons conspiracy delusionals believe the movies premise is a real thing and we are really controlled by aliens or at least lizard people 🙄 The one thing i don't understand though is these people say hollywood is the main source of this evil mindcontrol and everyone working for/in Hollywood is evil too... well "they live" is a hollywood movie created by one of the supposed evil lizard people and starring tons evil actors too same as "the matrix" btw yet both movies are used to proof the conspiracy theory and said to have been made to awaken people? 🤨 I can't be the only one seeing the multiple problems with that theory right??
Okay, the only person who was onto Martin, was Lilly, and she only knew, because he told her. She was under the impression, that she was doing something good, only to have Martin decapitate the Queen, which brought about the wrath of the King. Martin manages to slip away and lock the grate that they were supposed to escape through, and taunts them. Eventually Lilly breaks it to Scott, Geeta, and his daughter Kate, about what happened, when she reveals the head of the Queen, using it as leverage against the zombie King, long enough to try to help the three escape to the chopper, that Peters was flying. They all knew that Martin was up to something, but Lilly was the only one who knew the whole thing, while the others were busy trying to crack the safe, and deal with zombies.
Best vampire movie I feel like was “30 Days of Night”. I just thought it was done great and the storyline kinda “made sense” I guess you could say lol.
The whole thing with Blade and Scud makes NO SENSE! If he knew Scud was a double agent the whole hole time he would’ve known the entire truce was a trap and wouldn’t have gotten caught and if he had swapped the dud bomb with a live one why wait until the short weak computer guy is holding it and not blow it up in the head of the vampire warrior that might actually be a threat?! He can decapitate Scud as he’s walking over the gooey bits of the vampire team he was given!
Best vampire flick ever is without a doubt Bram Stoker's Dracula. Gary Oldman killed it as the count. I remember seeing the trailer on tv and being obsessed with it before i ever saw it and forced my mom to take me to see it opening night. I was 8 lol. She made me cover my eyes whenever the female vampires attack Keanu
Martin was still a more sympathetic character than Kate! The only one who deserved to die. She risks everyone’s lives plus leaving those two young girls to fend for themselves because she didn’t want to be responsible for taking care of them. Gita trusted her to watch the girls if she didn’t make it back. And they didn’t show it but those kids were packed onto a bus and taken god knows where and they have nobody to take care of them now. Even with the little money Kate ended up with after getting everyone killed, she’ll likely never find those girls. That makes her by far the biggest villain of that movie
I do not believe that Blade would be counted as a horror movie considering Blade is considered a Super Hero fighting the supernatural, as for They Live I think you might be pushing that one a bit as a horror movie. As for Aliens the revel deserved to be number one.
