Having played pretty much everything but the Archanea games, I'm actually astounded how many tracks I'm familiar with are reinterpretations of ones that already existed--especially the 3H Exam jingle and the fact that Thracia's Fog map theme was reused in FE12(?). That's crazy to me
I’ve played through every version of the War of Shadows, but my tablet where my SNES emulator was died when I was two chapters into Book 2. I have played FE12 before then, though.
The chest unlock theme in FE3 is also used in Panel de Pon / Tetris Attack and Pokémon Puzzle League The NICE parry sound effect in Paper Mario would later be used as a MISS SFX in the GBA and DS FE games
I can't express how hyped I am that you made this. The "Each Map's Victory/Into the Darkness/Vow" relation has been one of my favourite FE trivia facts for a while 😂Have yet to play FE3/FE12 so a bunch of these were new for me! Looking forward to more like this :D
I'm really happy you tied them together seamlessly to show the references instead of fading in and out. I will say theme of love is in feh and holy war is in fe3, but other than that I was glad to see you included most of them!
Awww you missed the one that I love the most. In FE4, if you win a fight in the arena you will hear a victory theme and then some kinda mumbling like we're in a tavern. If you wait long enough, a rendition of FE1's map theme plays, along with cheers and rhythmic claps from the patrons of said tavern.
Nice video my dude, here some themes for part 2: "Love Theme" is also used as a sad theme in FE Heroes in Book 3 And "Holy War" is used as a battle theme in FE Echoes Astra Sanctuarys DLCs Same with "Forbbiden Sanctuary" (Replacing Holy War as the final map theme) wich is used for last medeus battle in NEW Mystery and was remade in Echoes for "The Creation" (smol grima) (I noticed you did not covered games after New Mystery, so I hope this will help later) Yeah, I know this is a LOT of text, but it's because it was a great trivia video, keep it up man
One that i think is really interesting is that A Place to Rest from 3H borrows from Lover 4 from Genealogy of the Holy War, it's a harder one to notice but once you actually pick it out you can see what was borrowed
Great video! Not to be nitpicky, but the thracia fog chapter music was in Shadow Dragon as well, you could listen to it during multiplayer battles which had fog of war. Also disappointed to not hear FE3's version of Holy war, probably my favorite track in the series. Those midi trumpets get me every time
some to consider for part 2: Conversation 1 (FE4) and doorway to destiny (FE4) Climbing to the top (FE8) and Blue Skies and a Battle (3H) Recruitment theme (FE4) and From Enemy to Friend also you can include the arena themes that are the ally attack theme from the previous game FE4 Arena had the FE1 battle theme FE6 had FE4's FE7 had FE5's FE8 had FE2's FE11 had FE9's
wow some stuff I never really noticed before, super cool vid, I've always wanted to try & get all the versions of the series main theme together in a row & maybe combine them all into one afterwards but I've never gotten around to it as my OST downloads are something of a mess right now
I'm surprised you didn't use the FEH version of theme of love. Oh, and with Dracoknights of Thracia, I find the melody to be similar to Advance from FE3 Book 2. At least the beginning part.
there might be more, but three houses has two songs i remember that motifed songs from shadows of valentia/fe2 1. fe16 "gazing at sirius" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mjRXoS06cAo.html - fe15 "the ark of dawn" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-glPgWz-z0h8.html 2. fe16 "golden deer and crescent moon" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yd-WpuBwPWo.html - fe15 "with mila's divine protection" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GhUPXyeDhNY.html
Very off topic, but leif saying that nanna's death is "a waste" is so weird right? That must have been an old translation. A waste, like she's just a resource to him instead of his sister.
You should also make a video about Fire Emblem taking inspiration from classic music of the 1700s and 1800s... FE4 Prologue Team is massively influenced from a Vivaldi's piece, for instance
