I LOVE Finnished! Her videos are super helful once you have the basics down. Also, Memrise has a 3000 most used words in Finnish that's good for vocabulary. Thanks for the resources Aleksi!

These are great, haven't heard of a few of these before! Looking forward to that! I also used mem.rise for 3000 common finnish words to help with vocab, but it can be pretty dry.

Another great resource is the Aalto Open University Finnish Language Courses. They are free to register and they are online. I've done them now a handful of times.

Hei Aleksi, I was so sad to find out airports are closed to international tourism, in Finland, for the foreseeable future. I was hoping to visit in December, and learn a bit of Finnish by then. But hopefully it gets better soon :'( Thank you for these resources.

I've noticed every Finn I have seen all do the "kmt" thing ("kissing my teeth" - the "click" sound made from suction between your tongue and teeth+gums) when making a joke or witty remark or acting cool. It's great and usually pretty humourous

I've been using Drops, and so far I'm at 250 words. I have no patience to watch a video to learn, but having communities to meet is an interesting idea. I was hoping to see some official channels, like in Germany and France there are many subdomains on top of national TV and news channels that are dedicated to promoting the language to foreign speakers. But in any case, this is very useful and I hope you will keep it updated over time. Kiitos paljon!

There's a section on YLE's website which is easy finnish (Selkouutiset) that does a small radio section each day and a tv section each weekday!

You can also try with LinGo app, it is like drops to learn vocabulary but you can practice more than only 5 minutes as it is in drops

Also today I've found the Jarps Art. This guy Is very helpful for beginners, especially with his recent "Finnish the natural way" where he tell the stories in basic vocabulary and drawing the ongoing situations on the whiteboard. Like as people who teach the kids to speak. I wanted to ask my friend for the longest time but I dont wanna butcher Finnish before him 😭😭😭 Edit: I started using #9 and it was fun in the first chapter. Then it was difficult. By the end of second chapter my brain melted. I sent the results to my friend.

I highly recommend this website for language learners -> Uusi Kielemme: uusikielemme.fi/ This is my favorite website for learning Finnish grammar. This website has plenty of useful reference articles that you can go back to brush up on certain topics, but also it has an excellent blog section which shows you how to practically use various grammatical structures. I've learned a lot from this website. By the way, it looks like you missed #7 choice in your video? I thought I didn't see it.
