Love the content, but these videos need chapters so bad! 3:08 prodeus 4:40 railbound 6:16 persona 3 portable / persona 4 golden 9:09 lil gator game 10:27 rogue legacy 2 12:13 melatonin 13:08 trek to yomi 14:57 inscryption 16:29 WBSC ebaseball: power pros 17:47 metroid prime remastered
I do love your eShop review videos. It helps me find low-key games that I would have otherwise missed. Also, one to check out for any sim fans is RAILGRADE. Would love to see that make a featured list.
I gotta say, my first time playing Metroid Prime was with the remake and I am floored with how incredible that game is. If this is what we are to expect from Prime 4 whenever it decides to release, then I am very excited.
I love these eshop videos so much. I've put so many on my wishlist because of you, and I love that I always find something new because you incorporate so many different genres into it. My boyfriend loves the Rhythm Heaven game so I'm definitely going to be showing him this video for Melatonin. Keep up the great work, and here's to another 30!
Love to see the shoutout for Melatonin! I highly recommend anyone to give it a try if you're looking for good vibes from a rhythm game. It also has accessibility options to make the game easier if you end up feeling stuck on a level.
Hey Wood! I haven't commented before but I appreciate the content you release. I started watching back when you were hooked on Octopath Traveler, and you were a big reason why I caved and bought the game. I loved my time in it, and I was curious if you had planned on reviewing Octopath 2 at some point? Love the content, and thank you in advance if you respond :)
I am so glad you mentioned Power Pros, I was addicted to it for 2 weeks when it first launched! It was a Wii game back in the day with MLB players, a lot of Americans are probably nostalgic who were into sports as a kid.
As always, you will always have my support. I cannot even explain how much you've helped me. I've been subscribed since 2019, and I never regret it. Thank you for existing, being yourself, and helping others by existing and being yourself.
Prodeus has a custom Super Mario 64 level you can download. Weird being able to blast aliens and monsters to a bloody pulp within an official Nintendo approved product. Lots of really great options here! Recently I’ve been enjoying the Metroid Prime Remaster and Dead Cells Return to Castlevania expansion!
Prodeus is great fun and would really benefit from more people playing....enough to get some regular multiplayer action anyway. Seems like most players are PC and there's no crossplay
Thank you so much for this series. Before I had enough money for physicals, this series gave me the ability to sort through the chaff that fills the eShop. Road to 1000 baby!
Something me and my partner love on the switch is Song Pop. Everytime our friends come over, that's one of the games they always ask to play. It's an amazing party game!
I just beat Persona 4 Golden a while ago and it was a fun game! I will say that I liked Persona 5 Royal more, but P4G was also a fun experience! I hope to play Persona 3 Portable soon (I’m just taking a break from Persona overload!)
The two things I love more than anything are heavy music & games. I say this because you're my favourite game channel on RU-vid & my favourite vocalist is Tom Barber. You guys look so alike, its crazy. For all I know, you could be actual brothers.
These may well be among the best performing videos on the channel, but that's hardly a surprise as Wood is one of the best performing RU-vidrs on RU-vid
Final Fantasy 8 was awesome, and the version of Shiva that's in that game is awesome, too. When you summon her, she arrives in a giant spike of ice, breaks it, then hits all enemies with a cold spell with a snap of her fingers. Plus, there was a thing where you could tap a button to boost the power of a summons attack.
We love these videos almost as much as the Nindie Directs. What these videos do not need are the big hitters, the Personas, the MPR. People know about these games already they are hyped out of every orifice that is dedicated to Nintendo, keep it Indie please!!
For those, it's my chance to review and talk about the games where I wouldn't otherwise have a chance. Also the big titles help bring people in and see the indies and give those a chance. They want to see what I said about metroid then end up buying baseball power Pros. So I think it's a good thing overall to feature them
@@BeatEmUps helllllllo sir!! I just wanted to input my opinion. If you ever are able to make another style video like this, I dont think anyone would complain seeing you talk more about hidden gems! These are by far my favorite videos you make because I dont have time to scroll through and keep up with cool indies. I see Normans point, but just keep doing you!
@@philipsparks6089I get that but we don’t want him burned out. I enjoy these videos either way. We can’t keep nitpicking creators. We aren’t going to get videos at all.
@@Inamichan im literally asking him for nothing. If he doesn’t have any more video ideas, or is on a creative dry spell, then its not bad to give a suggestion. I love all his videos and made that pretty clear in my comment. Not sure why you tagged this at me😅
12:12 I almost shutter seeing unpacking, that game was great, the music and simplistic idea was so well done, I loved it, I don't wanna say I loved every second but I'd have to spoil the game to explain where I didn't love it, and even then I still loved the game
I've seen some talk about the Persona games but I've never really delved into them. You legit just convinced me to check out the games because I've never once considered that I would enjoy it until I saw actual gameplay, and your detailed thoughts on it all got me hyped.
Persona games really are worth checking out, once you're in, you're forever sucked in. It's incredibly enjoyable and charming, great story and brilliant OST :D
I love your videos the most out of anything Nintendo related existing! And I love that you also cover big titles, and explain why some of us should try them. I struggled with picking up Persona games before, but you really explained it so well why I should, you convinced me. Im excited now! Thank you for all you do!
The Persona games can be daunting when you first jump in because they're so huge, especially if you're newer to JRPGs! Don't be afraid to look up guides and explanations for things you need help with. Once you get into it you'll be hooked!
I’ve always been so grateful for these videos and really have a hard time trusting anyone else to actually recommend something they like. You’ve always been so honest and open about what you like and don’t like regardless of what people think and that’s so helpful for people that really want to get something that’s worth it. I’m so glad I found your channel! Thank you for always being honest and being you. ❤
I’ve watched a lot of these videos and have purchased some of the games. Thanks for doing them! Not sure if you’ve played these or they are available in hard copy/ on other platforms but I really like Agent A and Down in Bermuda. They’re fun point-and-click puzzle games. I know it’s available on other platforms but my friend and I love For the King and also Evoland. Can’t wait to see what you review next!
where has all the time gone. I remember watching the first 10 eshop games back in 2017. now its freaking 6 years later and we have 30 of these amazing videos. thank you so much for making such great continent wood! and I cant wait for the next one!
Thanks for going through all the shovelware so we dont have too. You really have some gems in this one. Loving how Metroid looks. I'm totally blown away by it. Can't wait for the next one my man.
I drove a moving truck for 8 hours today, I finally laid down in the hotel and saw you uploaded a video and it made the rough day so much better! Thanks for all you do, Wood!
Finally I also got my OLED and the first game I bought with it was Metroid Prime Remastered. I totally agree, that would easily worth even 60 dollars. If there is someone who has some concerns about what game to buy for the Switch if it's a new tool at home, just pick this masterpiece!
Persona games are an experience. I can't recommend them enough. It also has excellent English voiceover acting. Usually, I default to using Japanese VO when it comes to JRPGs because it sounds more appropriate but not for these games. They're always so seamless.
The Nanny theme song pops into my head about once every two months…for the last 30 odd years. My wife is Scottish and younger and has no blinking clue what I’m talking about when I burst out with a random line from the theme song.
If you haven’t you should totally play Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. It’s a couch Co-op game where you work together to pilot a spaceship and it’s honestly one of my all time favourite games.
I LOVED Lil' Gator Game! 100% completed it shortly after release! I spent HOURS in that world every time, WAY beyond the 'how long to beat' cap! Haha! I loved it! SO many Zelda, Naruto, etc references, and the memes and slang used were SO funny! I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a video game in my life! The story was so sweet, too! My feels! HIGHLY recommended!
Actually the plan was to remake all 3 prime games but the delay of prime 4 meant they couldn't afford time for that so they settled on a remaster of just 1
How to prononce Megami Tensei: Me = Pronounce it like the "me" in 'MEntal" Ga = like the "ga" in "GAllows" Mi = like the "mi" in "MIst" or "MInt" Ten = literally the number 10 Sei = sounds exactly like "say" Hope that helps
I gotta be honest: I was SO GLAD to see the Power Pros game show up on Switch. Back in the Wii era, I was a Lotcheck Tester at Nintendo of America when MLB Power Pros came through, and it was an INSTANT addiction. So many of us testers absolutely loved the game, even when we were technically just checking it out for guideline compliance. It was one of the very few games I bought back in the world even after testing it for my job, and I'm SO HAPPY to see a version of it show up on Switch even if it's not MLB licensed. I've already re-bought it and played the $#!+ out of it. It's so much fun.
