Pigmentation spots are the result of a chain reaction involving UV rays, hormones or certain medications, which activate tyrosinase, an enzyme linked to melanin. Excess melanin is released in a disorganized manner, creating the brown spot.
In dermatology, to treat hyperpigmentation without drugs, Niacinamide (at least 5%) is preferred to effectively block melanin transfer. A new molecule, Tranexamic Acid, has lightening properties similar to hydroquinone. Its action occurs at the start of hyperpigmentation, complementing Niacinamide, which acts at the end of the process.
Our Anti Dark-Spot Concentrate contains 5% Tranexamic Acid and 10% Niacinamide, a concentrated solution for treating hyperpigmentation.
