As I told Ashton and to another reviewer, the “top pulling complement list” is so tired in the fragrance space. We need new list idea. Same old fragrances, different reviewer. Trying to give helpful criticism. Be well!
I get compliments with Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, Bleu de Chanel EDT, YSL Y EDP, YSL La Nuit de L'homme, Acqua Di Gio Profumo, Versace Pour Homme, Versace Dylan Blue, Versace Eros, D&G Light Blue Intense, D&G The One EDP, Dior Sauvage EDT and Prada L'homme. All these may be over hyped but they simply work and pull in compliments!
@@candran3130 Absolutely. The EDT concentration is a little fresher and a little more crisp then the EDP and Parfum concentration so it works better for warmer climate and it's suited a little better for day time. They all work in warm climate but the EDT imho works the best out of all 3 due to its freshness.
@@jimmymcwatters4182 cheers mate, i'll get this one then, will be my first fragrance, quite pricey and thats why im focussing for a versatile fragrance for my first
You have brought Azzaro Chrome up so many time, I had to get a 6.8 oz. I remember this beautiful frag. Thanks for keeping me on it, I finally pulled the trigger on this for sure Frag !
No. 1 fragrance - YSL Y EDP Great list...I would add Hermes Eau Fraiche instead of Azzaro Chrome and for Givenchy Gentleman EDP (complete black bottle) instead of tooth aching(feel😅) Pi.
Allure Homme Sport is my first original fragrance ever and is my favorite to this date, everytime i spray it i get so nostalgic and sad,but still cant get enough of it.
Great list and viddy, Ash! I’ve gotten the most unsolicited compliments with LR Carbon, The One EDP, Givenchy Gentleman EDP, and Penhaligon Sartorial. Be well Ash!
My personal compliment pullers: Armani Code Prada Luna Rossa Carbon Bleu de Chanel EDP YSL Y EDP ADG Profumo Versace Pour homme John Varvatos YSL La Nuit De L’homme Pure Havane Mancera Cedrat Boise and for some reason... Guess Dare
My most compliment getter is Prada Luna Rossa Black by far. Gets me compliments every time. My girl gets weak in the knees when she smells it. It's a really seductive scent.

For some reason 212 VIP is super popular in my country, even more than Sauvage. It’s a great scent, I just wish it wasn’t so common here. Otherwise I would definitely have a bottle.
Ash is one of the funniest reviewers and in the same time one of the most competent. Seeing new video from Gents Scents always makes my day 😉 Can I suggest you to display fragrance name when you talk about it (like Dallas does... and some others)
@@firemedic5170 I prefer carbon over sauvage in terms of smell but the performance and longevity is not even close to sauvage. Carbon gets me a solid 5-6 while sauvage gets 8-9.
Jonathan Tey thank you!! That’s exactly what I was looking for! Sauvage performs so well on me but I’m honestly burnt out on it as I smell it everywhere (Tampa, FL). I most often notice it grossly over sprayed on dudes much younger than me.
@@firemedic5170 No problem. I do agree that Sauvage is everywhere nowadays but I just prefer the smooth lavender, less peppery Carbon. You should definitely check it out!
Haha i feel your Invictus story.. It also gave me compliments, but i gave the bottle away. Don't know what is wrong with people. Same story for MontBlanc Legend. I hate the smell, but it is a real compliment getter.
Lovely video! Bit odd, but can you do a video on compliments as such? I used to give compliments a lot, both to show appriciation and to learn what people was wearing. But I’ve been warned against doing it due to the more sensitive times we are in. What are your thoughts? Are there methods that are better now? Etc.

I guess I am a major Chad because I still wear Chrome and Drakkar Noir all the time. I don't care if they are outdated and played out, they smell awesome!
AHSEE is up there too. I received a bonus for 10 years of employment. It was $150 so I went out and purchased AHSEE. Darned near out, great for all seasons, all occasions. Chanel is great quality, but you pay for that kind of quality
I know he's joking but you're not a "Chad" just bc you like designers/compliment pullers. The more I got into fragrances, the more I appreciated designers. I started off only seeking out niche and indie, being real snobby about mainstream houses and then the more I got into perfumers and the noses behind the scents- the more I appreciated and respected designers, especially the extremely successful ones. I'm just as big of a fragrance enthusiast as anyone and I don't roll my eyes at Sauvage and Aventus

My man. You GOTTA get some high spf suncreen and a straw hat when you go outside in the sun. Look like a gentleman and don't have skin cancer in 20 years
fragrances that can get the most compliments are literally the best fragrances. i dont understand why fragrance snobs look down on them, get over yourselves people
@@jonritchey8653 there's a difference between someone's favorite fragrance and something being objectively a better fragrance based on what the masses prefer, and that Jon, is what you failed to realize. something can be the best whether or not you like it buddy.
Still confused about who perfumed the original ADG (Pour Homme). Basenotes has Cavallier for the 1996 release and Morillas for a 1995 female version????, Parfumo has Cavallier and Morillas among others, and Fragrantica has Morillas / Morillas and Menardo. A couple of other articles mention Cavallier also. What's the deal? Doesnt' seem to be any controversy surrounding the flankers... Is it because Morillas was involved in CK One and Cavallier did L'eau d'Issey around the same time? Battle of the aquatics?
He stopped showing the bottles and the content is getting weaker with days passing by. Your, way of pointing fragrances is always amazing no hate, but the pictures just dnt work ...
I'm really surprised that Dloce & Gabbana light blue eau intense and Issey Miyake leau dissey pour homme missed the list. I have got compliments galore from these two.
I bought a bottle and also hated it... I put mine into 20 10ml decants and sold them for 15 each.... I used the money to get a haul from fragrance buy lol.
