A good list of modern day actors. But you don't include Bogart, or Walter Brennan (three Oscars), or Spencer Tracy or a lot of actors who lived earlier. Perhaps breaking it down into decades, and naming ten for each decade would be better. What about Richard Burton or Peter O'Toole?

Fine listing of actors except for the title. Rather than "of All Time" I think "in Modern Movies" would have been a much better ending for your video's title. You will get many comments on whom people think that should be included. Among my choices would be John Barrymore who has enough filmography to warrant inclusion on a list "of All Time."

You didn't include The Mask of Zorro as one of Anthony Hopkins' Western films. He played Diego dela Vega, aka Zorro, before passing on to Alejandro Murietta (Antonio Banderas).

Humphrey Bogart, Charles Laughton, Paul Newman, James Cagney, Clint Eastwood should be in the top 10.

Nicholson is hard to beat, definitely needs to be on the list no doubt, top notch. Hoffman in Little Big Man, just great (the book, however, is far superior to what is very much a superior film). My own list doesn't include a number of these and certainly not Pacino. Not enough from the early years of Hollywood either: Cary Grant, James Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Gary Cooper are all on my list. Hanks is the modern day Cary Grant, can play about anything. Far as I can recall, Hanks did only one Western, News of the World, a surprise for its sympathetic portrayal of the South during Reconstruction. See you on the next one.

Jack nicholson was in a few westerns in the sixties.

This list is really the most awarded actors, which has always been a political thing in Hollywood, not necessarily the greatest. But Brando, Nicholson, Hopkins deserve to be on the list. Glaring omissions would include Laughton, Olivier, Kirk Douglas. Lon Chaney, “man of a thousand faces,” created characters out of his mind and invented and applied his own makeup, and had great acting ability too. I can’t imagine the cry baby actors of today doing that.

James Mason? Orson Welles? Peter O'Toole? Bette Davis? Charles Laughton? Ray Milland? Rod Steiger? Christopher Plummer? Jack Palance? James Dean? Julie Harris? Alec Guinness? Max Von Sydow? Katherine Hepburn? Humphrey Bogart? Robert Duvall? Laurence Oliver? Sidney Poitier?

Any list that doesn’t include at least some of the following: Max Von Sydow, Sir Lawrence Olivier, Sir Alec Guinness, Gregory Peck, Morgan Freeman, Henry Fonda and Toshiro Mifune isn’t worth it’s salt. Marlon Brando BTW is the most over rated actor in history.

Curious as to where the 'stars' ratings come from. Is that an IMDB Pro feature (I don't have)? This list seems biased towards modern actors. If the star ratings contributed to this ranking, likely because the stars were voted by filmgoers too young to remember the greats of old. Spencer Tracey: 2 Oscars, 9 Nominations. Gary Cooper: 2 Oscars, 6 Nominations. James Stewart: 1 Oscar, 6 Nominations. I presume this list is also for 'starring' actors, otherwise Walter Brennan (3 Oscars) should be on it too :)

Of these actors, with the exception of Denzel Washington, I think my favorites are all the ones who would turn in a solid performance even if the movie wasn't Oscar bait. Robert DeNiro as Captain Shakespeare in Stardust for example. A willingness to do a good job at comedy also helps. For example the only comedy I can think of for Brando was A Bedtime Story with David Niven (Wikipedia link below as it's unlikely anyone else remembers this unless they're fan of the Martin/Caine remake Dirty Rotten Scoundrels). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedtime_Story_(1964_film)

If this was a list of a random 10 of the 100 greatest actors, I'd agree, otherwise, I wouldn't put most of these on any honest list of the top actors of all time. Using awards to judge ability is absolutely hilarious. Many awards are popularity contests.

It's impossible to make this kind of list. Sure you can do it anyway but it's only one opinion of millions. My list would be for example: Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, Humphrey Bogart, Kirk Douglas, Robert Mitchum, Charles Laughton, Richard Widmark, Alec Guinness, Laurence Olivier and Spencer Tracy. But as great might be severals actors like Henry Fonda, Orson Welles, Edvard G Robinson, James Stewart, De Niro, Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins etc and etc. Who likes whom is a also question about choosers age: older persons remember better also Hollywood's golden times when younger generations remember most newer stars. It's natural of course. Most of us forget too foreign actors like Charles Boyer from France etc Women's list is there too, and it's as important as men's.

These are method actor's dude, you like method actor's, let's see Jack Nicholson play a globe-trotting leading man, or Robert Deniro play a cowboy, they're good in their field, actually I think Cary Grant could've played a junkie had he been in his 30's in the 1970's. ( He was an acid-head.)

I believe that Samuel L Jackson and Sidney Poitier should be on this list. Sammy J has played all kinds of characters and Poitier os one of the greatest ever.

You could pick 500 and still leave out so many talented actors. Before TV in around the early 1950s, most actors and actresses were staged trained. From the silent days to the talking pictures and up to the 1960s when tv took over the theater performers. The training was better, one reason why it was called the golden age of Hollywood. The performers of the last 40 years cannot match the actors of the past.

You can't a list without Laurence Olivier. No possible way

There are many horrible lists out there claiming to have the best actors of all time. While this list isn't the best, nor does it claim to be, you must respect it for listing actual great actors. Most of the other lists just have popular actors who always play the same character. Themselves. I swear, the last one I watched had Will Smith. I am not kidding.

What about Henry Fonda!

Great list of great actors. Legends in fact. Jack Nicholson was the best Joker. He has a fun role in the original Little Shop of Horrors. Marlon Brando IS Vito Corleone. He has a great role in the film Queimada (Burn!).

Good list with one exception- Marlon Brando. He OVERACTS everything he does. After I watched the mess he made of Mutiny On The Bounty, I can’t bear to watch him.

A flawed methodology from the start. Daniel Day Lewis is in, but no Bogart? WTAF? His closing soliloquy in "Maltese Falcon" is something Shakespeare would have been proud of. And, all modern leading men. and all serous drama . No comic actors, no women, no villains, nobody from before 1970 or so. The roster you presented was good, but hardly the greatest.

Marlon Brando? I could never take his 'acting' seriously.
