Same as either gen 3 and FireRed were one of my first games that I've played tho not on an actual gameboy. So I just downloaded one of those gba rom online But in Pokemon Sapphire im pretty sure I caught a Phanpy and Evolved one into Donphan and I thought they were pretty cool

I always thought Avalugg was a pretty cool ice type, and I thought it would be funny if two bergmite on an Avalugg’s back were fighting, and one of them evolved.

I like Druddigon actually. I remember catching one in Alpha Sapphire, and I loved using it in battle. I transfered it to Pokemon Sun, and I'm trying to get another one in Alpha Sapphire.

While I don't think I ever really disliked Druddigon, I used to have beef with its Shiny because green But I've actually lightened up on it once I realized that its Shiny colors are the compliments of its main colors [green and orange to red and blue, respectively] Just a pity that's sheer coincidence because it wasn't until Gen6 that they actually manually picked out Shiny colors [can't remember the specifics on how it worked with 2-5, something about taking a 'mon's color palette and moving its value over or something? But it's basically why so many blue Pokemon have pink Shinies]

I'm so happy to see these guys get some love! There's a running gag in my friend group where every Pokémon is "one of my very favorite Pokémon" because I just like most Pokémon. I can only think of three that I hate (none are on this list!) and at worst it's usually just me being like, "I've never used this one so I don't have strong feelings about it." Also poor Castform, he's a little molecule cloud friend! I had one in my first playthrough of Ruby, even though he was kind of just a team mascot. I miss him ;A;

I actually LOVE the Regi trio. Regice used to be one of my favorite Legendaries, and Regirock was one of my favorite rock types. I never loved Registeel as much as the other two, but i don't hate it.

I used Castform in a Ruby playthrough and I loved it, and to my surprise, it kicked butt. I prioritized rain, gave it Thunder as a TM, and it tore through half of Steven's team. I might just have to jump back into ORAS and add on Hurricane too.

i literally was so indifferent to castform until i discovered this channel, now i find it so adorable and wish i could wrap my mind around actually using it effectively. i would always box it immediately after receiving it not because i disliked it but because i always had a full team by then and hadn't ever planned for it (and im far more of a straight-offense battler than a strategic one anyway, which isn't the best but i am not a patient man, nor am i a smart man, nor am i a man)

I also very much love castform! As for why it didn't get a sand form, I think it has to do with the physical-special split. Fire, Ice, and water are all special types, but rock and ground are physical, so perhaps they thought it's be better to leave it as a special attacker?

@@anilmehta4714 I would say that kinda makes sense, but the whole niche of Castform on it's release was the fact it had different forms depending on the weather and had the move Weather Ball. They could have easily given it a sand form, which would have simply made Weather Ball a ground type move. It would have just been a special attack ground move. Very easy.

@@Marasoh castform was introduced in gen 3 when a nice being physical or special was based on type. All of the forms castform has made it a special type, and a sand form wouldn't have matched. Then a lack of popularity stopped them from adding a sand form later

@@anilmehta4714 Ya I get that, but also looking at the moves released in Gen 3, there were three ground type moves. 1 special, 1 status, and 1 physical. So having a special type ground move wasn't out of the ordinary. One already existed. So it would have fit with a ground special move. But that's just my opinion. To each his own. I think it prob just had to do with the fact that Castform was already intended on being one of the throw-away no evolution Pokemon that exist so frequently in the game.

I dont know if Mikey is aware of this nowadays, but the reason that Castform looks like that is because its based on a water molecule, the head represents a Hidrogen atom, and the bulbs underneath it are Oxigen atoms, this is also why it doesnt have a Sandstorm form, because Forecast is supossed to represent either the 3 States of Matter or the Cicle of Water, the Sun form is Gasseous matter/Evaporarion, the Rain form is Liquid matter/Precipitation and the Hail form is Solid matter/Condensation

Abilty Forecast should be revamped a lot. For example as it is a 'weather prediction', it should give all weather-changing moves used by Castform a +7 priority, so it changes form 'earlier' as it predicts weather.

It just goes to show how much of a difference a couple of years can make for a Pokemon in Pokemon Go's PvP scene. Registeel is one of the top contenders in the Great League right now. The others are hit or miss, but I've heard some people do like Regirock for Master League.

I beg to differ. Kecleon is better. Takes forever to recruit. When the originals came out, there was a rumor at school that you could get kecleon. I tried for months, never could. Years later I saw on the internet that you could, and for like 2 weeks, I tried and I eventually did. Worth it

Donphan is actually an armadillo elephant. That's why it has an armoured body and curls up to roll, those are armadillo traits. The resemblance to a tire is because of the relative shortness of its body length in order to be able to curl in the first place. If Donphan was a slight bit longer it wouldn't look so goofy when rolling out.

I love druddigon, for that matter i like pretty much all of the dragon types. I actually love the Regis as well. And I mean all of them. I haven't played a Pokemon game until a few years ago, so I didn't discover them back in Hoenn years ago. But I've seen many videos about them, and dear God, I love them. The process of finding the originals, yeah it tedious, but it's cool. It's like an actual playground rumor come to life. Their music is awesome, and their designs kinda resemble robots, which I get a kick out of. Regigigas, it doesn't feel as epic, but there's still enough where it's cool as well. You need it children from Hoenn (or Sinnoh, but you need Regigigas to do that so what the heck) and bring them to it. Then it wakes up and attacks you (and that might be why it has Slow Start, it simply has been asleep for so long). Regieleki and Regidrago are cool too, but their sidequest is the worst out of them all. You just walk on some tiles and that determines which one you get. That's it. But I still love them, and how small they are compared to the others.

Castform doesn't have a sandstorm form because it's a water molecule and it's weather forms represent the water cycle. It's sunny form is evaporation, it's regular form is either condensation or also evaporation, and the hail and rain forms are precipitation.

I am the same with the OG Regis. No internet as a kid and I didn't even have a strategy guide. But somehow my young brain thought to look in one of my parents encyclopedias and I found a chart for brail. I translated everything and did all the steps to get all 3 Regis. I also really like the noises they make in the Lucario movie. The sounds are funny to me and my dad. When he walked in on me watching the movie he kept laughing at the sound of Regice. He was only familiar with the Gen 1 pokemon so the 3 golems weren't like any pokemon he's seen before(his favorites are bellsprout and zubat). I also have a bit of bias against Regigigas. My brother, his best friend, my best friend and I all got the Sinnoh games on the same day(they all got Diamond and they forced me to get pearl because at least one of us had to). After we all beat the game my brother and his friend were both trying to get a bunch of the legendaries. When they found out that the 3 Regis from gen 3 were needed to get Regigigas and that I had them they pressured me into transferring them up from Emerald. I really didn't want to cause I had worked so hard to get the Regis and wanted them to stay in the game I go them in but they pestered me until I relented. So after they both unlocked Regigigas they gave me the 3 back and I got my own Regigigas. But unfortunately Regigigas didn't feel like an award for my hard work getting the three Regis but just as a reminder of all the bullcrap I was forced to endure at the hands of my brother and his friend. Making me to get Pearl and transferring my Regis weren't the only things they forced me to do. They also voted that I should restart my game over and over and over again so that all 4 of us can have all the starters. While they were collecting badges I had to delete my game and play up till I could trade like 9 times so that all of us could have the 3 starters long before we could breed them. So I'm sorry Regigigas but you are just an annoying reminder from my childhood and I will remain bias toward you. I still have it and my regis in my Pearl game though. I've kept that game and that save all these years.

Omg thanks for mentioning Seismetoad 😭😭. I started playing Pokemon white last month and at first I was like "eh.. I just need a surf pokemon... It'll go in the PC after... " but then after I used it in battle I became attached to it and I love it. I love my Aoi😭😭 Same with Stoutland, I didn't like it that much because I thought he always had a grumpy look on its face. But I learned to love him in battle, I love my Alpha 😭😭. Not to mention my Simisear Akai, I thought he looked stupid but he turned into a lovable Pokemon since he was the third asset to my team 😭😭.

Castform is so cute :D Druddigon is super cool. Avalugg isn’t a Pokémon I feel too fondly about. But I love the Hisuian Form. Krookodile looks awesome and fearsome. Donphan is a Pokémon I think is outclassed by Copperajah, but is still great! Whismur is adorable! Magmortar is also super cool. I mean, it’s a Fire Shooting Monster! Huntail is cool, even if forgettable. The Regis are so mysterious and cool, even if they aren’t strong.

I always thought that the castform bumps were like the cloud bumps on traditional cloud drawings. Also I think the reason there’s no sandstorm form is because it’s supposed to be the water cycle with sun form being evaporation, and the other 2 forms the 2 types of precipitation snowing/hailing and rain.
