I kept my skinny cloths for 18 years! I dieted off and on occasionally joined a gym but couldn't lose weight so I pretty much gave up trying. I finally got rid of them all, within a year I lost 100 lbs. Yes it's ironic but if I'm honest about it, in 18 years, styles changed, I've changed, a lot, I probably wouldn't have worn them anyway. Get rid of your sh!t, you'll love yourself and be able to reach your goals. Our stuff is weighing us down

Wonderful content, as always! Now I finally understand what my Grandfather meant, in his own way, when he would always say "Have what you want. And want what you have" He didn't have much but was a very happy man😊

These are great questions!! One of my favourites was - if it suddenly disappeared would you run out & buy it again? There is actually quite a bit that I wouldn’t even bother replacing. Which leads me to now think, why am I even keeping that stuff around?

❤️ Me & my partner relocated & downsized in September last year & got rid of a lot of things before the move, but since we've been in our new smaller rented home, we've managed to get rid of another 15 bags of charity, unneeded household things & furniture. It never fails to amaze me how many more things you can find when you think you've got rid of all the things you don't need.

I'm 66 years old and married for 46 years. We just sold our home of 26 years where we raised our 4 children and downsized from 3200 sf to 1800 sf. Got rid of so much before the move (just February) and am still making decisions about things to declutter. I think I'm doing great until my 32 year old minimalist son comes over and tells me I have too much stuff! LOL But, I am truly making tremendous progress and keeping those questions in my mind throughout the day. Love your videos and have recently just subscribed.

❤Great questions! Me and my family have been simplifying and calling ourselves minimalists for about five years, still find inspiration to simplify and live my best life on your channel. Your home look so simple and peaceful, I don't think we have much, but would like to simplify even more. Family of six so not always easy. I often question myself if it is a absolute YES, if not it is a no.

♥ I love my Contigo too but I should have used it for water only. I need something shaped like a Stanley cup so I can reach in the bottom to scrub tea stains out.

I think mine is a 16 or 20oz and I’m lucky I can fit my hand down with a rag and just reach the bottom 🤣👏 my mom has some that are taller and she just uses them for water like you said she can’t get her hand to the bottom

What I do is use a scrubby sponge inside bottle under a whisk and that scrubs out narrow bottles when I can’t stick my hand in.

@@anastasiya8314 Thanks for the tip! I ended up using a natural dishwasher tablet (that I didn't like) to dissolve the stains. Dropped one in, poured boiling water to fill the cup, and let it sit for an hour. Luckily, I thought to put a plate underneath because it started foaming over pretty quickly. The stains just rinsed out and no scrubbing was required.

Excellent questions. Decluttering is an ongoing task. Sentimental items are difficult for me as have been the “maybe I’ll need them” items. I am finding it easier to get rid of the “maybe I’ll need them items” by asking when was the last time I used it, do I have a need for it now and would it be easy and not too expensive to get if I did need it again.

Ty! I put together my own list like this, one that helps me question purshases where i have to check on every questionand if it does then i buy it. one that helps me declutter if i need to. If i ask myself why do i have this? And my answer is i have no idéa, then its OUT. I also have a list of my owned items where i actually write a short line about why i still have it (clothes is goals, style related) …
