5:02 Really appreciate Mr Anurag Kashyap for keeping an eye on Northeast Indian Films, even i am amazed with such a low budget, northeast filmmakers are coming out with great stories, i feel whole of India should keep an eye on northeast movie industry, underrated but really amazing.
Bombay Velvet has two edits. One of the edit was done by Thelma Schoonmaker, the regular editor for Scorcese. I have watched both the edits and both worked for me on different grounds. Its not a perfect film, but its far from being bad. It has technical merit to its productional aspects and has a compelling narrative. Also Karan Johar was a revelation for me.
This guy is the most legit film critic, at least from south region. You can check his other interviews as well, with Maniratnam is the one is relevant now. Anurag is not Tamil, but he admires Tamil industry cuz he rates it high and he thinks that it has inspired him the most personally !!!
He talked about 5 prominent Malayalam actors but I don’t think you know any of them well except Fafa . Have been asking you guys to check these movies which I think are some of the best this year! 1. Nna than case kodu - hands down best satire from India in a long time. 2. Jana Gana Mana (starring Prithviraj from the 5 actors he mentioned). 3. Thallumala (starring tovino) 4. Aavasavyuham (best picture at Kerala film awards) 5. Attention Please (one-location , one - night thriller) 6. Rorschach (Mammootty’s best this year)- not yet in OTT though. 7. Appan- latest film in Sony liv that’s becoming a rage now.

At the end, about the Gangs man that he was denouncing, he is talking about the guy responsible for delivering the Special Effects / CGI work for that climax scene. Kashyap has talked about this in other interviews. The guy strung them up and caused delay and then delivered sub par work.
He was referring to the final scenes of Faizal Khan shooting Ramadhir Singh, where the body getting shot with multiple bullet shots looks unrealistic...
Korbin and Rick, Kashyap was born in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. That's in northern India. UP is the largest state in India, it is home to the largest population in India, and the vast majority are Hindi speakers. He went to school in Dehradun, Gwalior, and went to college in Delhi. He graduated in '93, and watched 55 films in 10 days at the International Film Festival of India. Within days he packed up and left for Bombay (Mumbai) to work in films. He is north Indian.

I think you should put this on Jaby’s channel mostly…because he gets a lot of views and has no background in films! I don’t hate him but these guys are atleast actors and they get Indian cinema..jaby is running a business out of watching movies and doing nothing!
Vetrimaaran was totally unsatisfied with Asuran Anurag kashyam unsatisfied with GOW whereas both films are critically acclaimed but still they didnt overshadow their personal honest thoughts that is the real identity of a true genuine filmmaker
He's not taking about the actor but the guy who's incharged to make that scene right and look that scene natural , not like some one opened a tap out of his body and blood coming out of him 🤦🏻♂️
