Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference: 0:00 - Intro 1. 0:27 {About the Queen James Bible} What are your thoughts about the Queen James Bible, also known as the “Gay Bible”? Is this a blasphemous translation to be avoided, or did the QJV publishers have any linguistically valid reason to remove negative references to homosexuality from the Bible? Also, can the Holy Spirit still speak through heretical Bible translations? 2. 26:36 {Should Christians Leave Ungodly Areas?} Does the Bible say Christians should relocate their family (especially with young kids), or stop having kids altogether if evil/injustice continues to grow in their community? 3. 34:35 {Should We Only Help Others, Never Ourselves?} Is it a sin to help myself instead of others? I only know Scripture that tells me to give to others (Philippians). I'm often frustrated when I'm forced to help others when I need time myself. 4. 38:10 {Why is Only a Single Creator Obvious?} What about creation makes a singular Creator obvious, as Paul suggests? What keeps us from concluding that multiple deities created the different aspects of the universe? 5. 43:15 {What to Do if Your Pastor is Female} I've watched your Women in Ministry series and come to basically the same conclusions you have. However, I'm part of a church with a female lead pastor. How do I handle this? 6. 47:25 {Paul’s Hands vs. Jesus’ Hands} “These hands” provided for Paul in Acts 20: 34 NKJV & ESV. But “…of mine” (i.e., “these hands of mine”) is in some translations such as NIV & NET. Is Paul referring to Jesus’ hands or his OWN hands? 7. 54:55 {Are Angels Purely Spiritual, Not Physical?} How can we know that angels are spiritual beings and not potentially physical beings? Some people say they're spiritual and do not have reproductive organs (since Jesus said they're not given in marriage). 8. 58:12 {When Parents are Difficult} How does one biblically deal with an oppressive (but not abusive) parent? Lately they have been really stressed, anxious, and far from God. I’m not sure if they are truly a Christian. 9. 1:00:53 {Navigating a Difficult Marital Situation} Am I dishonoring God if I initiate separation? I’ve been married for over 12 years, always rocky. I've begged for counseling, but my husband (professing believer) said he'd pick divorce first. He says he no longer loves me. 10. 1:05:20 {Was Josiah Being Prideful?} In 2 Chronicles 35: 20-27, should Josiah have realized that it was God speaking (some suggest he was prideful)?
So Mike, would you say that if you know you don’t wanna have kids you shouldn’t get married? I think that’s what I heard. And if that’s true does the Bible teach us not to have sexual relations outside of marriage? So if that’s also true then is it biblical for People who do not want to have children to remain celibate?
Mike, I enjoyed your brief take on presidential elections being existential for many people. But if I truly believe that, if a certain orange candidate wins the presidency, it wouldn’t be the end of my life, but it would be the end of democracy in , what does the Bible tell me to do to prevent this from happening?
@@sethtreyIf I were talking about the authors of the bible, past tense would be appropriate. But the bible is still in existence, so I use present tense in reference to it
No. They have changed verses they consider to be badly or confusingly translated in the KJV. I think they chose this version because King James was bisexual and because it's out of copyright
The King James was never copyrighted. Copyroghts are a distinctly US law. The King James falls under the Royal Charter which is, in essence, the same as copyright, the difference being that money is owed to the crown of england rather than an american publisher. @@peterjermey7235
@@sethtrey The bible has never affirmed homosexuality and it still doesn't. If you're a Christian, the bible is alive, active, and very much relevant and necessary today, right now. So, .."doesn't ".
I agree with you, Christina. I would go even further. Don't listen to anything that is even from any Protestant or Anglican speaker because they have zero Authority since they contradict the scripture's.
I'm just speculating here, but I'm guessing that the reason there's so many editorial errors in this version is that it was rushed. And the reason none of those errors have been corrected in the 12 years since is that it doesn't really matter to them, since it's really meant to be displayed rather than to be read anyway.
Ok, so a question for Mike... Life on the line, you had to choose only ONE bible for the rest of your life and your choices are: 1) The Queen James Bible; or 2) The Passion Translation Go.
The QJB only messes with and edits passages concerning one issue, the Passion Translation adds wild things to several passages of any kind, making its edits much less predictable and recognizable. So my choice would be the QJB.
...just another attempt to take the Glory from His word.... thankfully, we have intellectuals with a heart for Jesus to take the time and apply the truth.... thanks Mike.......
15:34 the so-called modern definitions of being gay and lesbian is the most accurate ones because we understand that we messed up back in the day and we have corrected it. that's with a lot of definitions because definitions change.
On Amazon it is described as: “The Queen James Bible is based on The King James Bible, edited to resolve interpretive ambiguity and prevent homophobic misinterpretation.”
Yeah from the limited time I’ve used the LSB on Olive Tree app, I really like it too. I’m about to go and buy a physical Bible, but can’t decide between NKJV, ESV or the LSB
I manage a Christian store and my main department is Bibles and books. I've purchased 3 LSBs for Me, my Wife and Daughter as well as an ESV study Bible recently. I have my Father's old KJV Naves study Bible that was passed down to me and my old Bibles as a child. I've always liked the NASB 95 so I was very interested in the LSB when I heard that was the translation they started with. I love a faithful Word for Word translation and for those of us here in the USA that speak an awful English aka Americanish the NASB is very easy to comprehend so the LSB reads so smoothly. Reading Yahweh over and over is also a beautiful thing.
I really like the single column format of the LSB also. I have the single column, large print, reference version. The only thing I miss a little about my version is red letter. Happy hunting on your Bible. Those are all good choices.
ESV for me, but I own NIV, NKJV. Every version you learn from. I've compact nasb but go to ESV daily. Good luck.. try charity shops for different varieties. Sadly, they're full here in UK, most are free. Sad. 🇬🇧
Q 9, Empowered Wives, book and support group by Laura Doyle. Laura has a mandate to end world divorce. I've been married 30years and started using these skills last year and the change in our marriage was evident within weeks.
So they made a translation of the Bible, but the only thing they did was make a translation that affirms homosexuality. God and His word is constant and eternal, and I don't think he needs the help of a few narcissists in order to recreate and rewrite the Bible into what they think the Bible SHOULD say. They want to follow God, but only on their terms as if thry get a pass due to their postmodernist selective morality.
What would be your approach if a church has a husband and wife who both have the title of pastor but the husband is the one who gives the messages during service? I’m not sure how to feel about it
I do have an honest challenge to the line of thinking from the answer to the 5th question. We know that male headship is unarguable in marriage, everything seems to lean that way in terms of determining church leadership, but realistically, what are the consequences of a church having a female pastor/elder? Thats where I find the whole debate on both ends breaks down because there are several women who are leads of churches and their ministries have thrived. I know this is not biblical argumentation but to me it makes me question how important the issue is as although it may be "more proper" to have males as church elders it still seems to be a should not rather than a can not if that makes sense. Basically I am not sure it is biblical to take issue with a church over them having a female elder and causing division over an issue that has not been seen, nor is biblically described, to have any particular negative consequences apart from deviating from a sense of proper order
You need to know 2 things. #1) Understand Deborah well (I have a short free postable essay.) #2) Understand and know, that Paul wasn't a perfect teacher. (That is another free essay.) Commentary with scripture, with limited opinions.
It's hard to dismiss Timothy 3:2 referring to leadership of the church. Husband of one Wife. Not Husband of one Wife OR Wife of one Husband. My Wife and I completely agree with John MacArthur on this subject. "If your church has a woman pastor, you don't have a pastor and you don't have a church".
@@brianabbott8102 I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles, by God. ____________________________________________________________ For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers... -excerpt 1 Corinthians 4 KJV -words of Paul If one supports the qualifications of elder, as put forward by Paul, one MUST also accept that the title/position of 'father' is valid and proper in Christianity. Since this is also one of Paul's teachings. But the title of 'father' was expressly forbidden by Jesus. And do not call anyone on earth your father; for only One is your Father, He who is in heaven. -excerpt Matthew 23 -words of Jesus A full post on this is available. Paul regarded his position as 'father' as valid and significant. This was one of his false teachings.
5:33 I wish that more Bibles would start a new page for a new book....I like my study Bible for not doing this, but too many copies of the Bible that I've interacted with do this, though, not in the way that the QJV does.
Agreed. I went to a church one time looking for help, they had a womens center, and the woman pastor was absolutely out of line. Did not help me in a biblical way, instead she gave me a sheet of new age affirmations, with a bible verse beside it, but I thought it was crap. Women aren’t meant to be pastors, I can’t get on board with that. She’s rebelling against God and trying to lead other women the same way. I told her how I felt about that and I was basically told to go elsewhere.
This is almost irrelevant to the topics in this video, but I wanted to thank you Mike. I have been working on a children's book for about a year now, and I use your videos as my backtrack for focusing. I finished illustrating my book just now, while watching this video, and I am so grateful for all the hours you have put into this ministry.🤍
to the person with a woman pastor i would say leave silently may be share your reason with loveones and if asked by other share with them your reason for belief so to speak. because they have biblical issues, dont mean you should creat new biblical issues by causing discord [which was a reason satan was banished, God hates discord]
Or do you not know that THE UNRIGHTEOUS WILL NOT INHERIT the kingdom of God? DO NOT BE DECEIVED; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor EFFEMINATE, nor HOMOSEXUALS, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such WERE some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. - 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (emphasis mine)
Did the qjb version leave out Sodom and Gomorah, and Noah? Can't get around what the reasons were for them. This is sadly leading to a bad outcome. Gotta love as we are instructed to nonetheless.
"maybe we are not gonna be Christians, but maybe we can make Christians more like us". What a great phrase to describe satan's plan against Christianity.
On behalf of the entire Mike Winger fan club we demand fresh thumbnails!! NO MORE SALMON SHIRT, NO MORE SALMON SHIRT! The fan club has spoken! We are well aware of a vast array of excellent shirts in your possession and it has been one year since our last complaint. Please comply. Praise God! And thank you Mike Winger and team.
So i would bet that the QJV was never meant for someone to actually sit down and read to find the truth of God. They probably meant it for something you would buy and just display and "feel good about it".
@@time_2_get_ready true to an extent. Not negating the power of algorithms at all. But the odds of me coming across a bible on Amazon that has been published for over 10 years, then the next day a RU-vidr posts a video talking on that same Bible, I call that more than coincidence or the algorithm. Had this video already been posted years ago, I could lean into your idea of it being strictly the algorithm. Taking into account the sequence of events, I give glory to God. Unless you suggest that the algorithm knew Winger was in the process of making this video, and pushed the bible as a suggestion for me on Amazon just to have it line up in such a fashion that I came across it merely 12 hours before the video even gets posted.... I think we would have to agree that would be far more nefarious and intrusive of our data than a mere algorithm on RU-vid. (When I commented on this video and saw it for the first time, it had only been posted for an hour)

My old Anglican church took on a female . She was also a Charismatic and bit by bit the church strayed into false teaching & charismatic madness. I left. I went to another Anglican church. The pastor was male but over the years female preachers & pastors were taken on under his leadership. I loved & still love the people there. I knew I should leave but didn't. Eventually, COVID & ill health decided that for me. I started doing church online but felt convicted to go to a physical church. I tried a couple of churches always sitting at the back near the exit so as to make a quick escape once any unbiblical preaching started😂. God led me to a Baptist church that is not only biblical but also does expository preaching - my favourite style of learning. 😊😊😊
I went to an Anglican Church after I was saved in late 2020 (Tasmania had much fewer restrictions due to being an island) and the priest was a woman with pink hair. A gay couple did the flower arrangements. As a denomination it has changed drastically since I was a kid growing up in the church. I found a charismatic church which has biblically sound teachings.
@@dibdap2373 Hebrews 10:23-25 NASB2020 [23] Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; [24] and let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, [25] not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. Christ or Judgment This and a whole number of passages on Church leadership, having teachings and pastors, being one body, etc. Just because some Churches are bad or can get things wrong doesn't mean we stay away from Church entirely, because then we are the ones doing wrong.
I have a legitimate question for you, just as an onlooker who enjoys studying. How does anyone take the Anglican church seriously when its very creation was based in error? The creation of the church as a means for divorce to be deemed "acceptable" within the church and the King of England to be its head is beyond bizarre to me and I often wonder why people go along with it. But I don't know any Anglicans personally to ask them this.
I asked the question at 34:35 (I'm SO happy it made it in the stream) and just wanted to let you know that your answer was great(!). It wasn't too complicated at all and it really adressed what I wanted to know. And gave me something to think about as well. I hope it will help others too. Thank you and the team and the Lord :D! Love your ministry, Mike! And you also got my username right ^^.
Thanks for continuing to provide carefully researched, biblically sound content. I’ve aggravated some egalitarian twitter friends by defending your work on women in ministry, but I wouldn’t be taking that sort of heat if I didn’t think your research was trustworthy.
The editing, typeface and spelling is so poor it’s like they aren’t serious Bible scholars and have just put the book out to support their pre-determined position.
Mike you have change my life in ways you cannot understand. Brother your teachings have improved the way I viewed the Bible. Your deep research on topics are amazing and I thank you brother for your commitment to God and the scripture. I love you brother keep leading people to the truth (Christ)✊🏼👍🏼
congrats on starting to write a book!!! i’ve been watching the 20 questions episodes but i’m a few years behind, so this is the first i’ve heard of it. will definitely be preordering/ purchasing!!
"Friends don't let friends listen to Benny Hinn."🤣 Yes, God can use anything for His purpose. Just because God spoke through a donkey, doesn't make donkeys theologians.
This strikes me as being just a copy and paste from an online source and then selectively edited to basically just scam people. It was not done out of any faith; perverted or not.
The QJB isn't meant to be referenced to, that's why it's formatted in a way that is impossible to learn where verses and texts are, or to find things when you need them... This book is made to be showed on your table or shelf so that others can see what you believe.
Why is it that the world always makes parody of anything Jesus Christ or God related. You will never see them do a book on the Quran. Unless they repent, God will have the final judgment. I know it's just a book, but I would feel frightened to have that book in my house. Smh!
Have they not read in the last chapter of the Bible, in Revelation 18-19 what will happen if any man adds to or takes away from the words of this book? Woe unto the man
Makes sense this was printed in Las Vegas. Amazon has a cheap quality book printing farm in Las Vegas. I’ve ordered physical copies of digital books or other obscure books on Amazon, and got copies with this exact same terrible small font, poor formatting, and cheap binding-with a note in the back that it was “printed” in Las Vegas dated literally the same day or day after I placed my order. 😂
Psalm 101:3 "I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me." (If you keep looking, it will cling to you, and you will fall away. Perhaps it's lust, porn, evil video games, horror movies, gluttony...or any other temptation or sin.) (This verse came to mind during this Q & A.)
I’m the guy with question #6. Thanks for taking my question Mike! Just some added context I couldn’t fit in under the limit: The way I FIRST read Acts 20:34 in my NKJV in context with the previous verses is that Paul was giving credit to Jesus’ hands [since I interpret “the word of His grace” in 20: 32 to be Jesus]. But yeah, I’m now pretty sold on Paul referring to his own hands. 👐
Great to hear Mike is working on a book. His videos are a great blessing. It would’ve fantastic to have a whole lot of his responses turned into a handy-dandy Q & A book with essential topics set out alphabetically.
It's the name-calling technique used by people who don't want to discuss issues because their side has no weight. The only way they win is to shut down the debate before it starts.
@@colinmatts You are calling me a made up nonsensical word that you are sure has a legitimate meaning while at the same time doubting that there is a God. The irony. Like I said, the word has no meaning. No one is irrationally afraid of sodomites. NO ONE. We do believe that they are deviant and are on their way to Hell unless they repent though. You can't practice sin as a lifestyle and get away with it. This goes for any sin. Lying, stealing, adultery, drunkenness, fornication and h0m0sexual behavior. You see, when you have no legitimate argument to justify your sinful behavior you employ ad hominem attacks. You call people "bigots" or made up words like "h0m0phobe". Or you employ emotional appeals that are not based in science, reality or theology. Things like, "I was born this way", "why do you care what goes on in our bedroom" or "love is love".
I was going to attend my first live ever and ask a question a lot like #2, but I missed it. Then I come back and I see this. Thank you to God, thank you for the question and answer
As for angels not looking human I disagree with you, did you forget: Hebrews 13:1-2 13 Let brotherly love continue. 2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Thank you, that was the scripture verse that popped up for me as well. Thank you for your work in ministry, Mike. God's blessings to you and looking forward to reading your upcoming book. -Gabriel of Norway.
Ah, so having the correct translation of the bible is now important. Love the hypocrisy towards the members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Pathetic
You have to love the wayback machine. Took about 5 minutes to find the guys name. The things people will do to justify sin. Can you imagine standing before the Lord after writing a book like this? I pray their hearts are softened and they come to know the Lord.
Mike, thank you, Your Ministry helps me strenghthen my relationship with Jesus and understand the bible. I've been reading it more. From what I understand so far, I am to love the lord God almighty with all of my heart and soul and mind and strength. And to love my neighbor as myself. And to look to christ throughout my days As a means of trust in him, And encouragement. To know that I have eternal life resting in his promises. That I am saved by grace, not by works. And any expressions of works that I do have uphold the truthfulness of the faith that I hold for our lord in saviour Jesus Christ, one with the father co equal in glory.
Amen. The biblical text is replete with BIG, READABLY RED “STOP signs” that plainly declare that homosexuality and ALL OTHER sexual behavior outside of God’s design for marriage is as wrong as SIN. (Genesis 19:1-11, Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, Judges 19:16-24, 1 Kings 14:24, 1 Kings 15:12, 2 Kings 23:7, Mark 10:6-12, Romans 1:18-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 Timothy 1:8-10, Jude 7) *( 11+ scripture passages that clearly condemn homosexuality and ALL OTHER SEXUAL immorality!! ) *

Only God knows how much grateful i am. After so much struggles I now own a new house and my family is happy once again everything is finally falling into place!!
1 Corinthians 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, Do Not Be Deceived guys!!!!
Regarding leaving any church for Biblical reasons, it really is best to make it clear to those who stay why you are leaving, because otherwise rumors are likely to spread as to why you disappeared.
I would encourage people to read Leviticus. While Jesus did fulfil the old testament and we're not bound by legalism of the law, in the words of Jesus Christ, "I have come to fulfil the laws of God, not to abolish the law." Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lay with mankind as he lieth with woman, they have both committed abomination; they shall both surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."
Also anyone who adds or takes away from The bible will get the plagues mentioned in the bible and lose eternal life! You can truly see that demons are living in the people who change Gods word to fit their sinful ways of life because demons already live in hell and don’t care about the plagues. I pray that Legion are cast out of these poor possessed people, in Jesus name 🙏🏼
The Lord wouldn’t want His children to attend either church-LDS or the one with a female lead pastor. They’re both going against His will. I would recommend leaving asap. If you have a vehicle drive further, leave town. If that is not an option you can also deepen your relationship with the Lord and worship at home/online. The Lord would prefer that over the first two options.
@PROJECT.LUKE.ONE.75 hello brother/sister. I would be very careful about saying straight out that "the Lord would prefer" such and such stating it as a fact and speaking for God. It would be better to say "probably" or "in my opinion" or something of the like and then giving a reason. It is just a very strong statement to make and to come off as if it is a fact and you are speaking on God's behalf. Because there are a lot of factors in people's lives and circumstances and not every circumstance is the same. And so every person's circumstance will make the best decision for them different. It is not something to divide over or call people non Christians because they do so (you didn't do that, I am just speaking in general). Just wanted to say that in case you didn't realize. God bless
@@colinmattsthe definition of fear when we say “fear God” is different than the usual definition of fear. It doesn’t mean actual fear; it means awe, reverence and respect.
I understand the concern about children in our current times with the way our world is heading. However, when we look at the grand scheme of it all.... we still live in a privileged time with many modern comforts. I don't see why now out of all times in history would be the time to say no, no kids. This world needs new, better generations raised under the Lord.
The Queen James Bible belongs in the flames YOU DO NOT MOCK GOD especially the Word of God and get away with it Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Really like the new 10 questions weekly format. Thanks so much Mike for all you do. And for the discussion of the QJB - especially your commentary about how other bible translators work (or should work!) Have a great weekend :)
Honestly the horrible editing reminds me of the cheap dollar store KJV Bibles you can get for a $1. Those are so cheaply made. Makes me wonder if the QJV "editors" just bought one of those, and then scanned each page without making any edits to the layout as they scanned, and then made their heretical changes to the text.
Even I as a gay person, can see through the rainbow that this "Queen book" is total crap😅! The Bible has been touched and tainted severely over the years; it need not be touched again - especially in this way. The Bible needs to be left as is and shouldn't be edited. In as far as sexual desires are concerned, we're aware of the spiritual implications of sleeping around - in my instance I think it's very fair when God says I should never dabble in that. Thanks for your ministry Mike❤
Mmm. I used to identify myself as a bisexual. If you ask me even today, I would still tell you that my sexual lusts and attraction are still bisexual. Not because I like to keep it that way, its just my fleshly desires. A thorn in my side that I resist by remaining in God's love, word, patience and guidance. Je keeps me and helps to change my desires. I don't identify as bisexual, but I recognize acknowledge, and understand my weaknesses that I must wrestle with sometimes. It's the thorn in my side. We all have one. I didn't chooose my sexual attraction, as a little girl I just became aware of it. I noticed I had the same feelings for girls like I did boys. The attraction is not a choice, living the lifestyle and avoiding God's word is though.
Although I have other "pastors", Mike has become "my pastor" over the last couple of years. This is the only place I feel I am getting the best answers without agenda. Thanks Mike. I wish you had more time for individuals, but that is not going to be possible in this world. Maybe in the next.
Hello Mike! Q: I believe in the Biblical definition of marriage. Is it incompatible to think we should extend the same civil rights to same sex couples? Thanks for all you do!
