Greenslade es otra buena banda de Rock Progresivo de Reino Unido.

Atmosphera tiene una producción excelente para su tema principal y homónimo al álbum "Lady of Shalott" y el resto del álbum parece grabado en un estudio casero, con poca calidad. Pero el tema de que hablamos es excelente. Es una banda israelí.

Te rifaste con este video, varios ni los conocía, te recomiendo a Osiris, son de Bahrein, su disco es de 1981, saca mas cosas así, o habla del krautrock y del zeuhl.

About Peck - Smyth & Off- ... Here is what I know. My name is Carlos Enrique Trejo, I'm a school professor and an avid rock and roll listener when released from my many duties. I live in the pretty but boring city of Aguascalientes, Mexico. I've heard about this band (P-S&Off) since I started to listen to prog rock, psychedelic and other genders alike. It's an album that practically nobody talks about, unless you'er really into the scene of prog deep enough to have heard of them somehow...specialized forums may help. Considered by many as an American band, but they weren't really American, not quite... they just happened to play here and be recorded under a Mexican label (Orfeon Records, now "Orfeon VideoVox S.A., a label specialized in regional, traditional mexican music and some rock numbers from the 50s and early 60s) makes this album even more special and rare than what it really is indeed. A very rare album indeed. Rare in a precious way. The truth is that Peck-Smyth & Off is indeed a hidden treasure for many to to be discovered...a real gem (you've gotta listen to it by yourself to really get to know what I'm talking about). Peck-Smyth & Off play a very unique Classical/Psychedelic/Progressive/Cross-over Rock...Very unique, melancholic and tender to listen to. It is really a Mexican band... despite of the fact that the album is sung in English and the anglosaxon band name... Serge Peck (Sergio Gotlib) is actually a Mexican virtuoso musician who cut his teeth on the classical piano stage for many years before and after this his prog-psych- rock project. He happened to live and perform mostly in the US where he met Jimmy Smyth (what a guitarist!) and Ralph Dri on bass. Piscuis on drumset joined the project at the moment prior of recording their 1st and only album (Love-1976)... Serge Peck took over the direction of the album in terms of musicality (it is a piano-mellotron driven album at the end), so PECK-SMYTH & OFF can be actually considered as, definitely, a mexican musical project. Beautiful, haunting at times, sometimes displaying a kind of sense of humor on the song titles as well as the lyrics (check the track MAGICAL...? for instance) with obscure sections, symphonic, generally well sung, with great riffs, concise drum playing and a somewhat solid bass, not to mention the magnificence of Sergio Gotlib's (Serge Peck) piano, keyboard and mellotron and what you get is truly a gem to be discovered for those who consider themselves as music lovers. If you get to see it at any prog rock convention GET IT! either on the 2011 reissued CD mini Lp replica, the old "Cereza Electrica jewelcase CD edition or if lucky enough the 2011 LP reissue... it's practically out of stock in many of the independent music stores here in Mexico, but sometimes it may just pop out (I got my CDminiLP while walking down the streets of Downtown Queretaro city with my pretty girlfriend while looking for a McDonald & Giles self titled album at a local vinyl store... I found both, I couldn't be any happier for the find and the company!) It's practically impossible to get our hands on an original 1976 LP edition (holy grail status). If ever, don't hesitate and invest on it. You'll never get another chance. Try. It took me some time to tie the ends and collect the data I offer here to anyone interested about this great record. Trustworthy, though. I hope my review has been useful for any interested in passing the voice and finally position this album on the right place it deserves: A 5 star Gem.
