Thanks for watching! This Raptor was priced around $64k. I misspoke talking about the camera..it's an additional front camera and not a true 360 camera! What do y'all think of the Raptor...is it the coolest truck in your opinion?
Undoubtedly the Raptor is the coolest and badass truck in North America. It is stylish, big, bold and capable. I have been only driving Toys and Nissans but hands down the Raptor is truck like no other
Prime Autotainment Looking forward to that one! The Raptor would have been a blast off road....especially catching air like that blue one was. Get it back! I’ll come to Texas! I’ll bring you a Subaru! 😂
I’m happy to see your channel improved in amazing way and I love your content keep going the hard work brother. Actually, I just trade my F-150 two weeks ago for the 2019 GMC HD and what I love about the F-150 the reliability.
7.3 weighs too much. The coyote is too unreliable with boost. If they were to introduce a v8 it would most likely be the voodoo (5.2L that makes 526hp Naturally aspirated). If they were able to beef up the voodoo to reliably (over 200k mi life expectancy) take 8 or so psi of boost it would roughly make 700hp to the wheels
What's wrong with the 6.4 liter that was used in the raptor several years ago? It was either a 6.4 or 6.2 nonetheless wasn't it a decent engine? Also how could anyone say that the 5.0 coyote engine is not reliable? It may only be good for 400 to 425 HP but at those HP numbers it's still a reliable engine for the most part!
@@jeffflick2573 The older raptor was a 6.2L which was a few hundred pounds less than the new 7.3L. Yes the 5.0 coyote is a reliable engine however it isn't too boost friendly.
Cool truck alot of space everywhere except for the stupid extremely short bed it makes it useless I hate those 5ft truck beds can't carry shit in there with the taile gate closed I want one but i would like a 6ft truck bed on it and a V8 engine under the hood that is what's keeping me from buying a raptor it's missing two things a rear truck bed and a real motor
Me too! I’m getting impatient lol. Once upon a time they “denied” me. Nowadays the people I know that can make it happen are hard to communicate with. I’m really hoping it’s soon...
I really want to. I was denied by FCA and haven’t been able to get one from a dealer. I’m hoping soon...I don’t have access to any Ram dodge jeep Chrysler stuff yet. Bugs me. Can’t wait to though!
Hey depending on where you live I'm in North Mississippi, we have about 160+ acres of pristine wilderness and if you can take a truck to the bottom and come back up without a winch be my guest
@@jamminhard That looks like the key from a 2017. The 2017 key is compatible with the 2018 and can be self-programmed to work with it. I'm not sure why he has a 2017 key though.
Yes, you both have a point. But the fact is the V6 in the Ford GT just smashed a Ferrari 488 GTB AND a Dodge Demon with full drag setup. This is broadly the same engine in that car and will outrun a BMW M2. For something that weighs slightly more than the center of the sun, that’s impressive
I would hope the Raptor beats the Silverado Trail Boss - it's about $20K more than the Chevy in Canada. I don't know about you, but $20k can get you a lot of upgrades on any truck.
My son just bought a 2019 Raptor last week. It's quite a vehicle, lots of great features, plenty of power, and a great ride. He got the Ford Performance Blue and it looks great. I'd go for the Race Red myself. One thing though. He's having problems already with the SYNC3 system and it seems like it's company wide. He's read of others having the same thing happening. It will freeze up, not follow commands, screen will go dark, but music keeps playing, change the radio station and visually it changes, but it still plays the previous station. Looks like he'll have to take it in, but he's also read that the techs at the dealer don't seem to know what to do to correct it.
This truck Rocks in almost every Category. But the V6 sounds like crap! Too bad the Raptor isn't offered with an optional 700+ hp 5.2 supercharged V8 ! Then I will buy One !
You can't even begin to use the power it has now. The tires are completely inappropriate for going 180mph, nor do they handle well in the curves. The old engine was more than enough power for off-roading, whether it be rock-crawling or cow-trailing. Every other manufacturer's V8's are also more than enough power to go off road.
I have the same exact truck had a black one the only trouble I had was going through a automatic car wash the pressure took part of the Raptor graphic off but Ford replaced it.
Wish they would put the coyote v8 in it. I know the Ecoboost is as powerful as it needs to be. But it just sounds wussy that Ford will only sell it with a v6. A badass truck deserves a badass engine.
better mileage but most of all ….lighter for better 4 wheel - but I don't think there are to many serious 4x4 driver out there.....I would prefer to hear a V8 also.....wonder if the 6 sounds like a coffee can
It’s a sweet ride for sure. For the price..definitely some others that are more practical or feature reach (minus the off road capability) but this was still fun to drive around
That raptor is one sweet ride and I loved my ford f150 2014 with 3,5 eco boost , that pig hawls ass , but im converting to a Ram Rebel , putting a deposit down tomorrow 4 to 6 weeks for my custom order , cant wait....!!!
From what I’ve seen in the manuals for any of the ecoboost engines (not sure if it includes this high output version) but it says it’s designed to operate with a regular unleaded minimum of 87, but for beat overall vehicle and engine performance use 91 ...I’ve looked at forums and see people using both. Sorry I can’t say for sure!
I don't know where everyone is getting this notion that there's a 7L V8 coming. Pipe dreams... I did a resonator delete on my Raptor and I love the sound.
@@PrimeAutotainment If Ram follows through on the Rebel TRX then I'm sure Ford will answer with a blown or charged V8 (my bet would be on a version of the Voodoo from the GT350), but they already sell every Raptor they make and don't seem to be worried about people who whine about V6 vs V8. They have no incentive to do a more powerful V8 right now, which would cost $100k after all the other upgrades needed.
@@PrimeAutotainment on the regular f150s the headlight design is like elongated on the top, for i believe the 2018 and up fords, while the raptor keeps the desing of the 2015-2017, I find it odd
Justin St.Romain I agree and I don't understand why so many people put the 5.0 coyote engine down and even call it unreliable? It's a great engine especially with Roush after market exhaust & cold air intake plus is good for 400+ HP and still a very reliable f-150..If a buyer wants more power & torque they can go with Fords F-250 with the 7.3 liter gas engine?
Everyone keeps referencing the V8. Owning both trucks, 3.5 out performers the V8 hands down. Most comments are coming from people who wish they had one. You dont buy a Raptor to pull, you buy one to go in area's no one else can get to. Period.
#1 same engine for the past few years #2 bead lock rims, can be acquired aftermarket #3 lighted are the same #4 an extra grand for badging #5 truck stuff, duh it’s a truck #6 given #7 somewhat unique interior Kinda forgets about the list after that
I need a bench front seat, shift control knob on the dashboard like the Ram and Ram full air suspension and push button starting. We don't care where it's made, we want good stuff at good prices. We want it quiet as possible. Cool is a mental matter of opinion.
Yeah but some people care about the exterior of the car as well and the Ram looks like it has a big moustache on the front. I love the looks of the Raptor though
@@Dentheman1995 tru tru. But that interior though. It's all about comfort and power. Plus the mustache look on the grill go away if you get the all black. But u r right
No off-road competition? What about Ram Power Wagon with winch, front & rear locking axles, sway bar disconnect? The Ram has a tried and true V8! You didn’t mention one outstanding feature which I have on my 2018 F150 platinum...doors which sometimes open, and door latches which don’t latch when it freezes, which makes it very unreliable in cold weather...this is after Ford has tried 2 different fixes which didn’t fix anything...search you tube for frozen door latch and you can find lots of examples of the Ford door latch problems, but none for any other truck manufacturer...all that being said the Raptor is impressive, but I wouldn’t buy another Ford until I know their latches work.
